Der MediaTek MT8168 ist ein ARM basierender SoC für (Android) Tablets. Er bietet vier ARM Cortex-A53 Prozessorkerne mit bis zu 2 GHz, eine ARM Mali-G52 MC1 Grafikkarte und einen LPDDR4x Speicherkontroller. An drahtlosen Schnittstellen bietet der SoC Bluetooth und Dual-Band Wi-Fi 5 (a/b/g/n/ac) WLAN (2,4 und 5 GHz). Der Kamera-ISP unterstützt maximal 13 MP und Videos mit Full HD und 60 fps.
Die vier 64 Bit Cortex-A53 Kerne positionieren den SoC im Einstiegs-Mittelklasse Bereich in 2015. Im Schnitt schlägt er z.B. den Snapdragon 429, bleibt aber hinter einem Snapdragon 632 zurück.
