Lenovo präsentiert uns mit dem IdeaPad Z370 ein interessantes 13 Zoll Subnotebook. Im Großen und Ganzen hat uns das Design des Notebooks gefallen, aber über Geschmack lässt sich ja bekanntlich streiten und gerade der in rosa gehaltene Innenraum dürfte so einige Meinungsdifferenzen hervorrufen. Die Verarbeitungsqualität kann man dafür ohne große Diskussion als gut bezeichnen.

The IdeaPad Z370 is a capable notebook for students and home users, with good build quality and eye-catching looks. There aren’t many frills, but with web sales prices starting at $569, you don’t need or expect the world. If you like the Lenovo IdeaPad Y570 but it's a bit too expensive or you don't need that much graphics power, then the IdeaPad Z370 is worth a look. It's equally capable for schoolwork, MS Office work, as well as playing music and movies. The only thing that it's not suited to is playing highly demanding 3D games like first person shooters. The system isn't thin, but it's small enough to fit easily in a backpack along with your other gear. The second gen Intel Core i5 processor is a good option for this notebook and it comes with all the essential Lenovo software you will see on higher-end systems. The starting price is affordable, and additional options aren't that expensive either. The notebook looks good except that the cover that gets absolutely grimy with fingerprints, and the display viewing angles are limited if you look at the screen from right or bottom.

With moderate usage battery life came in at a very respectable five hours 5 minutes. All in all, gadgetmix heartily recommends the Lenovo IdeaPad Z370. The Lenovo Z370 packs great performance in a small package with the latest Intel Core i5-2410M CPU with integrated Intel HD 3000 GPU. It’s not targeting business use, especially with its flashy design option in blue, but that doesn’t mean it can’t handle all your work and multitasking needs. It’s 13.3-inch size makes it nice and portable but it is a bit thick and hefty. Also, the battery life is a bit lacking compared to other laptops in this category. Overall build quality and finish looks solid and for a price at around $629, it’s definitely worth considering.

Das Produktionsvolumen liegt bei knapp zwölf Millionen Geräten im Jahr. Neben PCs (ThinkCentre, Lenovo Value Line) und Notebooks (ThinkPad, Lenovo 3000 und andere) stellt das Unternehmen Monitore, Beamer, Server und Handheld-Computer her. 13.3: 13 Zoll ist ein häufiges, jedenfalls aber das grösste Displayformat für Subnotebooks. Der Vorteil von Subnotebooks liegt darin, dass das Notebook klein dimensioniert sein kann und daher leicht tragbar ist. Das verhältnismäßig kleine Display hat noch den Vorteil wenig Strom zu benötigen, was die Akkulaufzeit und damit die Mobilität weiter verbessert. Der Nachteil ist, dass das Lesen von Texten ein wenig anstrengend für die Augen ist. Sehr hohe Auflösungen sind nur bedingt nutzbar. Nicht fehlsichtige Menschen sollten mit dieser Displaygröße aber zurechtkommen können.
