We can conclude that the Nitro 17 (AN17-42) is one of the best gaming devices in its class. The main reason for that is the great “Performance” mode which offers a lower fan noise and the same CPU clocks and GPU TGP compared to the “Turbo” presets. Also, the fans don’t spin that aggressively which results in good comfort during gaming since the keyboard barely gets warm. The optional 1440p 165Hz display (MNH301CA3-3 (CSW1704)) is pretty capable for the budget class. It’s a PWM-free unit with 98% sRGB coverage and very good color accuracy thanks to our “Design and Office Work” profile. Also, the pixel response time of 8ms is pretty good for an IPS screen.

The Acer Nitro 17 combines a spacious display with top performance and a budget-friendly price. It’s a great value pick for gamers looking to spend less than $1500 on a laptop that can do it all. In fact, for those who only want a desktop or a laptop for gaming, the Nitro 17 is a fantastic option and it may even be a worthy replacement for older or underpowered desktop gaming PCs. It has a few shortcomings, including a sub-par webcam and a bulky, plastic design. However, it delivers in all the areas that matter most. The Nitro 17 impressed me with its stellar gaming performance and outscored the competition in our battery life tests.

Diese Grafikkarten sollten alle modernen Spiele flüssig darstellen können. Anspruchsvolle Spiele müssen jedoch in mittlerer Detailstufe gespielt werden. Ältere und weniger anspruchsvolle Spiele wie die Sims Serie können auch in hohen Detailsstufen flüssig dargestellt werden.
