EN→DEWe would like to say that Chromebooks have come a long way. However, most of them didn’t. In fact, devices like the ASUS Chromebook C223 show the progress of the PC, MacBook, and smartphone industries. ASUS Chromebook C223’s display has a budget TN panel. Its viewing angles are uncomfortable, covers only half of the sRGB color space, and it uses PWM for brightness adjustment. Its only technical advantage is the quick pixel response time. Everything about this notebook speaks of its affordability. Its hardware, build quality, etc. Ultimately, the best thing about it is the keyboard, which is spill-resistant, and comfortable for typing. Also, you get a decent battery life out of the thing. On the other hand, you should keep in mind that the notebook comes with 4GB of RAM, and either 16 or 32GB of eMMC non-upgradable storage.

EN→DEThe Asus Chromebook C223 is an excellent budget notebook, with a reliable keyboard, long battery life, and compact and light form factor. But Asus has made a number of compromises to keep the price down of this Chromebook, and it’s kind of visible with the Intel Celeron processor and 32GB of onboard storage — Google provides 100 GB of free online Google One storage for one year. Strictly based on pricing, the Chromebook C223 is a better buy when compared to entry-level Windows notebooks. At Rs 17,999, this Chromebook is still the best entry-level notebook you could find in the market, and I think people will be pleasantly surprised to see all the basic tasks this machine can handle compared to their existing Windows laptop.

A Chromebook doesn’t have to be perfect to be enjoyable to use, and the price you pay for that experience matters a whole lot in determining what you’ll feel each time you reach for it. If the prices are what they are right now and you are in the market for a device, this might be the one for you. However, if the C434 drops back to the $559 price for the 8GB model again and the C425 is back to $499, I’d have to point you back at the Flip C434 as the better option. Pricing is volatile and will stay that way. As a matter of fact, it will probably only get crazier, so make sure you keep yourself informed by staying in touch with everything happening here at Chrome Unboxed by signing up for email alerts below.

EN→DENobody dreams of getting a budget Chromebook, but the C223 is nearly a very likeable device. It looks good, it’s light and compact, and the screen is fine for the money. The keyboard isn’t great, but it’s not absolutely awful. Yet it’s impossible to ignore the slow spec or the poor performance. You can’t expect high speeds for under £200, but the C223 is just too slow to recommend.

Asus: ASUSTeK Computer Inc. ist ein großer taiwanesischer Hersteller von Computer-Hardware mit Sitz in Taipeh, gegründet 1989. Unter dem Markennamen Asus fertigt das Unternehmen eine breite Palette von Produkten, darunter Laptops, Desktops, Motherboards, Grafikkarten, Monitore, Smartphones und Netzwerkgeräte, Komplettsysteme und PC-Bauteile für Endkunden.
Unter dem Markennamen ROG (Republic of Gamers) stellt ASUS Gaming-Laptops her, die bei Spielern für ihre leistungsstarken Spezifikationen, dedizierten Grafikkarten, Displays mit hoher Bildwiederholrate und fortschrittlichen Kühlsystemen bekannt sind.

Die Kundenzufriedenheit mit ASUS-Notebooks betrifft Leistung, die Funktionen und das gute Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis der ASUS-Notebooks. Wie bei jeder Marke gibt es jedoch gelegentlich Berichte über Probleme wie Überhitzung, Treiberkompatibilität oder Probleme mit der Verarbeitungsqualität.
Einige nicht anspruchsvolle aktuelle Spiele können mit geringen Details noch flüssig gespielt werden. Für Office und Video natürlich ausreichende Leistungsreserven.
Intel HD Graphics 400 (Braswell): Grafikeinheit in den SoCs der Intel-Braswell-Serie. Basiert auf der Broadwell-GPU (Intel Gen8), unterstützt DirectX 11.2 und bietet je nach Modell 12 EUs bei unterschiedlichen Taktraten. Anfangs nur Intel HD Graphics benannt, später als Intel HD Graphics 400 bezeichnet.
Intel HD Graphics 515: Integrierte Grafikkarte (GT2), welche in einigen Core-m-CPUs (Skylake, 4,5 Watt TDP) verbaut wird.
Intel HD Graphics 500: Integrierte Low-End-Grafikkarte mit DirectX-12-Unterstützung, welche in einigen ULV-SoCs der Apollo-Lake-Serie zu finden ist.
Intel UHD Graphics 615: Integrierte Grafikkarte (GT2-Ausbau, 24 EUs), welche in den stromsparenden Amber-Lake-Y Prozessoren (5 Watt) integriert ist. Baugleich mit der alten HD Graphics 615 mit ähnlichen Taktraten von bis zu 1000 MHz.

Celeron N3350: Sparsamer Dual-Core-SoC aus der Apollo-Lake-Serie für preiswerte Notebooks. Taktet mit 1,1 bis 2,4 GHz und integriert eine DirectX-12-fähige Grafikeinheit. Im Vergleich zu früheren Atom-Generation wurde die Pro-MHz-Leistung der CPU-Architektur signifikant gesteigert und ebenso die Grafikeinheit verbessert.
Intel Core m3:
6Y30: Auf der Skylake-Architektur basierender, sehr sparsamer ULV-SoC (System-on-a-Chip) für Tablets und 2-in-1-Notebooks. Integriert unter anderem zwei CPU-Kerne sowie eine Grafikeinheit und wird in 14-Nanometer-Technik gefertigt.
Intel Amber Lake:
m3-8100Y: Auf der Amber-Lake-Architektur (technisch identisch zur Kaby-Lake Generation) basierender, extrem sparsamer ULV-SoC (System-on-a-Chip) für Tablets und lüfterlose Notebooks. Integriert unter anderem zwei CPU-Kerne mit 1,1 - 3,4 GHz Taktrate und HyperThreading sowie eine Grafikeinheit und wird in der 2. Generation der 14-Nanometer-Technik (kein 14nm++) gefertigt.
Intel Kaby Lake:
Pentium 4415Y: Auf der Kaby-Lake-Architektur basierender, extrem sparsamer ULV-SoC (System-on-a-Chip) für Tablets und lüfterlose Notebooks. Pentium N4200: Sparsamer Quad-Core-SoC aus der Apollo-Lake-Serie für preiswerte Notebooks. Taktet mit 1,1 bis 2,5 GHz und integriert eine DirectX-12-fähige Grafikeinheit. Im Vergleich zu früheren Atom-Generation wurde die Pro-MHz-Leistung der CPU-Architektur signifikant gesteigert und ebenso die Grafikeinheit verbessert.

14.00:
14 Zoll Display-Grösse stellt ein Mittelding zwischen den kleinen Subnotebook-Formaten und den Bildschirmen der 15 Zoll-Standard-Laptops dar.
Der Grund der Beliebtheit mittelgrosser Displays ist, dass diese Größe einigermaßen augenschonend ist, gute Auflösungen mit brauchbaren Detailgrößen liefern und dennoch nicht allzu viel Strom verbraucht und die Geräte noch halbwegs kompakt sein können.
Früher waren 14 Zoll-Geräte sehr selten, jetzt stellen sie nach den 15-Zollern den Standard bei Laptops dar.

Most smartphones and only a few tablets fall into this weight category. Only a few smartphones are heavier and should rather be considered tablets.
1.34 kg:
73.94%: Diese Bewertung ist schlecht. Locker drei Viertel der Modelle werden besser beurteilt. Das ist eher keine Kaufempfehlung. Auch wenn Verbalbewertungen in diesem Bereich gar nicht so schlecht klingen ("genügend" oder "befriedigend"), meist sind es Euphemismen, die eine Klassifikation als unterdurchschnittliches Notebook verschleiern.
