EN→DE Archive.org versionI was hyped with original Zenbook UX430 back when it was released, but a lot has changed in the meantime, and as of mid 2018 the Zenbook UX430UN is only a good buy if you can find it for a really great price. It's still a nice product, don't get me wrong, but it just looks better on paper than it behaves in real life, and it comes with a handful of compromises you'll have to accept. On top of that, there are many more viable competitors to consider these days than back in 2017. The article below explains this conclusion.

Despite those, it's not very expensive, so it should cater well to the average consumer looking for a compact and light all-rounder around the 1G mark, that can also tackle some games. It's not without flaws though, but none are real deal-breakers, as you'll find from the article below.

Even with the base model, you get a modern processor and comfortably large SSD, and we're happy to see that creature comforts such as the excellent screen and backlit keyboard are common across the board. We aren't thrilled about the lack of useful ports, which is the only truly major limitation here.

NVIDIA GeForce MX150: Pascal GP108 basierende Notebook-Grafikkarte und mobile Version der GT 1030. Bietet 384 Shader und meist 2 GB GDDR5 Grafikspeicher.
Diese Klasse ist noch durchaus fähig neueste Spiele flüssig darzustellen, nur nicht mehr mit allen Details und in hohen Auflösungen. Besonders anspruchsvolle Spiele laufen nur in minimalen Detailstufen, wodurch die grafische Qualität oft deutlich leidet. Diese Klasse ist nur noch für Gelegenheitsspieler empfehlenswert. Der Stromverbrauch von modernen Grafikkarten in dieser Klasse ist dafür geringer und erlaubt auch bessere Akkulaufzeiten.
