It offers better performance than general business laptops, convertible or otherwise, but can't compete with more expensive mobile workstations. Yoga functionality doesn't add too much to a mobile workstation, which is probably is served well just by keeping the size and weight down as Lenovo has done here, but it doesn't hurt if you think you'd make use of it as a tablet.

The closest would be the Microsoft Surface Book (detachable rather than yoga-style) and Lenovo's own near mirror image ThinkPad 14 with NVIDIA GeForce 940M graphics as sold by Best Buy.

If you’re someone who needs the dedicated graphics performance of a mobile workstation but also needs the flexibility of a 2-in-1 that you can convert into a tablet then this is absolutely the best choice on the market.

Modell: Das Lenovo ThinkPad P40 Yoga 20GQ-000EUS ist eine mobile Hochleistungs-Workstation für den Business-Einsatz. Es verfügt über einen Intel Core i7-6600U 2.6 GHz Prozessor, ein Intel Skylake-U Premium PCH Motherboard, einen Nvidia Quadro M500M Grafikadapter mit 2 GB VRAM, 16 GB 1600 MHz DDR3 RAM und ein Samsung 512 GB Solid State Drive PM871 MZ7LN512HCHP. Sein glänzender 14,1 Zoll großer Touchscreen verfügt über eine Auflösung von 2.560 x 1.440 Pixeln, nativen Pen-Support und nutzt die IPS-Technologie.
Das Windows 10 Professional 64-bit System misst 19,9 x 338 x 236 mm und wiegt 1.753 kg. In puncto Netzwerkverbindungen verfügt es über Intel Ethernet Connection I219-LM und Intel Dual Band Wireless-AC 8260 für LAN-, WiFi- und Bluetooth-Verbindungen. An Schnittstellen bietet es drei USB-3.1-Ports, einen HDMI-Port, einen DisplayPort, einen Kensington Lock Slot, einen Docking-Port, eine 3,5 mm Audio-Kombibuchse und einen 4-in-1-Kartenleser (MMC, SD, SDXC, SDHC).
NVIDIA Quadro M500M: Einstiegs-Workstation Grafikkarte der Maxwell Architektur basierend auf dem 28nm GM108-Chip mit 384 Shadern und 2 GB DDR3 Grafikspeicher (13.3 GB/s). Wie die M600M (welche 128 Bit GDDR5 bietet) ist der maximale Stromverbrauch mit 30 Watt angegeben.
Diese Klasse ist noch durchaus fähig neueste Spiele flüssig darzustellen, nur nicht mehr mit allen Details und in hohen Auflösungen. Besonders anspruchsvolle Spiele laufen nur in minimalen Detailstufen, wodurch die grafische Qualität oft deutlich leidet. Diese Klasse ist nur noch für Gelegenheitsspieler empfehlenswert. Der Stromverbrauch von modernen Grafikkarten in dieser Klasse ist dafür geringer und erlaubt auch bessere Akkulaufzeiten.
