EN→DEThe gorgeous OLED display, great audio and portability, along with the unique camera-under-screen design, are just the tip of the iceberg here. The Lenovo Yoga Slim 9i also delivers great performance for this form factor, though you’ll have to pay a pretty penny for it. In use, the only real issue is the poor port selection, most notably the missing audio jack.

EN→DELenovo's 10th-generation Yoga Slim 9i is on sale with a starting price of $1,820. I recommend the device for those who don't mind paying a premium for a lightweight laptop with a vibrant touchscreen. Its hardware will allow the 10th-Gen Yoga Slim 9i to be a defining member of its series and stand the test of time. However, you can find other products delivering a similar experience at a slightly cheaper price. The Galaxy Book5 Pro and HP Omnibook Ultra Flip are good alternatives for shoppers eyeing ultraportable and high-performance laptops. Samsung's model is normally the cheaper of the two; however, the Omnibook is on sale at this time.

EN→DELenovo makes a lot of laptops, yet the Yoga Slim 9i managed to stop me in my tracks. It has a design that stands out among the rest of the company’s lineup and the laptop market at large. It’s glossy, it’s curvy, it’s covered in glass, and it has super-slim bezels. It’s a stunning device from a company that’s known for making unimpressive aluminum shells for laptops, giving the Yoga Slim 9i quite the edge in Lenovo’s lineup. The design draws me in so much that I want to use it over my MacBook Pro, but I just can’t do it. No, it’s not because I’m married to macOS or anything. It’s the fact that, beyond the good looks, the Yoga Slim 9i is nothing to write home about. Sure, the design and OLED display are stunning, but what good is that if the laptop can’t last all day or power through all the stuff you have to do?

EN→DEIf you spend much of your day on Zoom, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams meetings and the like and rely on the built-in webcam, then no. The under-display webcam isn't up to the task of professional video calls, but it's fine for casual chats. I mean, who doesn't look better under a bit of soft focus, right? Even with its faults, I would still recommend the Yoga Slim 9i 14 Gen 10 to anyone with an eye for style who wants a high-end Windows ultraportable. Its bold design, solid build quality and beautiful OLED display make it worthy of its elevated price. Still, the cheaper, lighter and longer-running Asus Zenbook A14 remains my favorite Copilot Plus PC, with the Microsoft Surface Laptop 7 making another great choice for its elegant design and awesome haptic touchpad.

EN→DEWhy, oh why, did Lenovo's designers scrap all but two Thunderbolt 4 ports? Without that goof, they came this close to an Editors' Choice award, with a stunningly striking design and breathtaking borderless display. Asus, HP, and others offer better-connected ultraportables (as does Lenovo with, among others, the legendary ThinkPad X1 Carbon), but none are better-looking. If your budget allows (Best Buy's $1,699 sale is certainly tempting), we'll join you in pining after this pin-up.

EN→DEWrapping up our time with the Lenovo Yoga 9i 2-in-1 Aura Edition (14ILL10), it’s clear this is a meticulously crafted convertible laptop aiming for the premium end of the market. From the sophisticated unboxing experience, often including genuinely useful extras like a pen and hub, to the device itself, Lenovo delivers a high-quality feel. The CNC-machined aluminum chassis feels robust, backed by MIL-STD-810H certification, yet remains impressively thin and relatively light. Its “Cosmic Blue” finish and rounded edges offer a design that’s professional without being stern, although the matte surface does tend to show fingerprints. The user experience is largely defined by its standout features.

EN→DESo after testing, the Lenovo Yoga Slim 9i 14 Gen 10 has left me impressed. The laptop is beautifully designed and demands to be looked at. It also offers a gorgeous display that excels at displaying text and visual images for work and content consumption. The overall performance was also quite good, handling day-to-day tasks with ease, and can even be used for gaming during your downtime. It's not perfect and there are a couple of potential dealbreakers depending on your individual needs. The laptop itself is beautifully designed, but not everyone wants a laptop that's going to attract attention. With only two Thunderbolt ports, it's also very light on connectivity options. The camera is downright bad, and the 10 to 11 hours of battery life may be too short for some.

EN→DEFor the price, you do get a lot of bang for your buck with the Lenovo Yoga Slim 9i 14 Gen 10. It’s an excellent PC, especially if you’re looking for something with a great battery life and powerful processing (with a shiny OLED to boot). Not to mention, if you're considering a Yoga, you probably expect more flexibility, which this lacks. But if you want your laptop to have a decent integrated webcam, better speakers, and more ports, you may want to look elsewhere. Still, despite harping about its faults, I’d be tempted to buy it just for the sweet color and multitasking power.

EN→DEThe Lenovo Yoga Slim 9i is a great machine if you want a unique design with an incredible display. It really is a nice piece of hardware. It even delivers very good performance for Lunar Lake. But I’d say that this machine isn’t for most people. Between the almost $2,000 price, low battery life, lack of a headphone jack, skimpy port selection, Lunar Lake’s low multithreaded performance, odd fingerprint sensor position, and so many other issues I’ve mentioned above, this won’t be the right machine for most laptop users.

EN→DEYou won’t find many better-looking laptops, so the Yoga Slim 9i 14 Gen 10 has that going for it right out of the box. It’s highly portable, gets good enough performance, and has a great keyboard. And you won’t find a better display on a laptop today. At the same time, battery life isn’t as good as some other Lunar Lake laptops thanks to that gorgeous display. And, connectivity is a letdown. It costs a pretty penny, but the Yoga Slim 9i 14 is a great laptop for a lot of users, and it’s highly recommended.

The Lenovo Yoga Slim 9i dares to be different by trying brand new technologies (for the laptop market at least) that brings laptop design to the next level.
