EN→DEIf you want your phone to be a statement piece without sacrificing flagship performance, the Razr Ultra delivers. It’s for people who want the fun of a flip with the power of a modern flagship, and who will actually use that outer display for more than just checking the time. If your top priorities are all-day gaming, the very best low-light camera, or ultra-long battery life, a traditional flagship might still suit you better. But if you want a phone that sparks conversation and justifies its price, the Razr Ultra is a solid bet.

EN→DEI didn’t realize it before, but now I don’t understand why the Motorola Razr Plus (2025) exists. Yes you’re saving $300 over the pricier Ultra, but it’s essentially the same exact phone as last year’s model — with worse battery life too. Typically speaking, the newer model tends to get bigger hardware upgrades and a performance boost to convince people it’s worth getting. However, I can’t even make an argument for that because it’s packing the same processor, RAM, and battery size as before.

EN→DEFoldable phones aren’t for everyone. Some users may struggle with how skinny and tall the moto razr ultra is. While the display is seven inches, which is larger than the S25 Ultra and iPhone 16 Pro Max, it feels smaller due to its 22:9 aspect ratio. Consuming content on this tall aspect ratio might take some getting used to and reachability may be an issue for some. That said. I like this OLED display. It’s very bright and vibrant, the touch works perfectly, and the taller aspect ratio does help put more on the screen when reading websites and social media. Though, I will admit that YouTube videos are not helped by this aspect ratio, and you have larger bars on the right and left. The moto razr ultra has the Snapdragon 8 Elite CPU inside paired with 16 GB of RAM, plenty of power to muscle through all your basic tasks and gaming.

EN→DEThe Motorola Razr+ for 2025 carries over the same design, processor, cameras, and displays from last year's phone. While we enjoy using the phone for most things, especially full apps on the outer screen, we wish battery life were in line with the other Razr phones and that the cameras and AI were a bit more compelling. The Razr+ is a fine folding phone for $999.99, but you'll get more value from the $699.99 Razr and more performance and AI from the $1,099.99 Galaxy Z Flip 7.

EN→DEThe Motorola Razr Plus 2025 doesn't look different from the 2024 model, but it stands apart from the competition thanks to Motorola's genuinely excellent design and build quality, plus software features that feel bespoke designed for the form factor. The cover screen is the star of the show, feeling like a proper small phone rather than a giant smartwatch like some other foldable. Performance could be better for the price, and we still miss the ultrawide camera from the 2023 model, but great battery life, very fast charging, and fun camera modes help make up for those shortcomings.

EN→DENo! The Motorola Razr 60 Ultra isn't the perfect foldable, but it does come very close to that claim. The phone's only shortcoming is that it heats up if you spend a lot of time shooting video outdoors. At the same time, I don't see gamers purchasing a Razr 60 Ultra as regular bar-shaped devices are better-suited for this purpose. For the clamshell foldable target audience, this is indeed as good as it gets, as Motorola has shoved in a top-end processor and managed to deliver a very capable set of cameras along with above-average battery life, which is also the reason to upgrade to this new model. Heating issues aside, the Razr somehow makes a solid case for itself when it comes to competing with thin and premium smartphones like Samsung's Galaxy S25 Edge. It's smaller, comes with enough dust and water resistance this year and has cameras that somehow manage better image quality than the bar-shaped slim phone.

EN→DEShould you buy this phone? Well, if you're looking to get a clamshell foldable phone in the US, your options are kind of limited: it's either one of Motorola's wares or Samsung's Galaxy Z Flip phones, which are soon scoring their annual update with the Z Flip 7. The Motorola does many things right. It has perfected the clamshell foldable design language that Motorola pioneered a few years ago. While the Ultra feels more posh and premium, this here Plus model doesn't really feel worse in any way. Performance is fairly decent, and the battery life is more than acceptable, a welcome step over the regular Razr yet not as good as the Ultra. The camera is quite decent, too, and the lack of an ultrawide is a non-issue, to be honest.

While these flexible mobiles sport a similar design, their specs are quite different in many ways. For instance, the Samsung Z Flip 7 is powered by an Exynos 2500 which is apparently energy efficient, while Motorola uses a Snapdragon 8 Elite. Better for gaming, while the battery capacity is also bigger vs that Galaxy foldable. Samsung has focused on durability for the Galaxy Z Flip 7, so it should prove hardy - although both flip phones are IP48 rated. Plus you've got the usual AI shenanigans, including some Sammy and Moto exclusives.

EN→DEThis year's Razr lineup is a little underwhelming when it comes to upgrades - outside of the Ultra models, that is. In that sense, the US-only Razr+ 2025 is probably in the weirdest position of being virtually the same as the 2024 one, raising some questions about its marketability. The 2025 model, just like the 2024 model, has its share of strong points. The nice displays inside and out are among them, tied in with some of the best foldable software experience you can get. A telephoto camera in this segment is hard to find, and the photo quality overall is pretty solid. Great speakers and fast charging are among the welcome little things too. What's harder to like is the complete lack of an ultrawide camera.

EN→DEWith the Razr Ultra 2025, Motorola set out to not only create the best flip phone ever, but arguably one of the best phones of 2025. The Snapdragon 8 Elite and 16GB of RAM provide stellar performance, and improvements to the camera, battery, and charging really take it to another level. Moto AI could use a little tweaking, but it offers a fairly comprehensive suite of features in addition to Google AI/Gemini capabilities. That said, with all this power comes a high price tag, which may understandably turn some consumers away.

EN→DEMotorola Razr 60 Ultra turned out to be a truly excellent folding smartphone, which received many important improvements compared to last year's model and, in some respects, is one of the best in its form factor. In addition to the folding design itself, which provides certain advantages and interesting features, the Razr 60 Ultra has excellent quality screens, a practically invisible fold on the inside, high-quality cameras and an excellent design. At the same time, the case has an IP48 protection level. The smartphone demonstrates one of the best indicators of autonomy among folding smartphones and supports fast charging. Perhaps the most significant drawback of the smartphone is significant heating and throttling of the processor under load.

EN→DEThe Razr Ultra isn’t trying to claim it has the best camera, the longest battery life, or the most extended software support. Its goal isn’t to compete with traditional smartphones, but rather to explore the fun and cool side of phones that’s often missing. In that sense, Motorola succeeds with the Razr Ultra, which aims to be a fashion accessory—much like a Louis Vuitton bag or a pair of Gucci loafers. That’s not to say the Razr Ultra is underpowered—absolutely not. It’s the most capable flip-style foldable phone on the market, capturing the nostalgic vibe of the classic Moto Razr while also modernising the experience.

EN→DEMotorola has certainly upped its game with this year’s flip. The titanium-reinforced hinge increases durability, while the vibrant 4-inch cover screen and 7-inch LTPO pOLED main display combine style and functionality. The addition of AI features such as Look and Talk, Catch Me Up, and AI Image Studio improves the overall package. That said, at Rs 99,999, this sits firmly in the ultra-premium category. For users who prioritise camera performance or intensive gaming, more traditional flagship options like Vivo X200 Pro, Samsung Galaxy S25+ and Oppo Find X8 Pro might offer better value, depending on individual needs and usage patterns.

EN→DEUltimately, I’m still not entirely sold on touchscreen flip phones, but I definitely respect them a lot more now. You still sacrifice some camera quality, and the inability to cover up the external screen with a case still makes me a bit nervous about durability, but the size and hinge issues are essentially things of the past now. Plus, external screens are now larger, and a flip phone is a great way to get a tall main display without having your phone stick out of your pocket. That only leaves one barrier to entry: pricing. Here is where the Razr makes its strongest case. While the Razr Ultra I reviewed is pricey at $1,300, it’s not necessarily more than you’d expect to pay for a flagship—the Galaxy S25 Ultra costs the same. And depending on your priorities, the Ultra could have more of what you want. Plus, if you are OK with cutting down on features, the base Razr costs $700 and the Razr+ costs $1,000.

EN→DEAt the end of the day, all I think Motorola had to do to make me happy was make a flip phone without compromise. The Razr Ultra is that flip phone. Yes, it’s extremely expensive — matching the price of Samsung’s Galaxy S25 Ultra — and yes, I still feel like many of its Moto AI features feel unnecessary and unfinished, but it’s hard to find a single part of the spec sheet where Motorola shied away from giving its new foldable flagship just a little bit more. The only real complaint I have centers on the update guarantee, which sits at a measly three years of major Android updates and four years of security patches. Come on, Motorola, you have to do better in 2025. Outside of that, though, the Razr Ultra checks every box and then some.

EN→DEPriced at Rs 99,999, the Motorola Razr 60 Ultra brings meaningful upgrades over its predecessor, with improved performance, a sharper front camera, better dust resistance, and distinctive new finishes like wood and Alcantara. It retains the core strengths of the Razr 50 Ultra, including the large and highly functional cover screen, clean software experience, and refined foldable design. Motorola’s new AI-powered features, while still needing some polish, offer helpful use cases—particularly tools like at-a-glance notification summaries and contextual smart search. All things considered, the Razr 60 Ultra stands out as one of the best flip-style foldable smartphones currently available, blending design and utility in a way few rivals manage.

Motorola has been working hard on the Razr’s design and, in recent years, has thrown all the latest and greatest features at the device for a truly flagship experience. The 2025 Motorola Razr Ultra may not be cheap, but it has a premium design, excellent performance, and more. While the Razr Ultra is a high-end phone, some features, like a telephoto camera, are still missing. EN→DEWith everything said and done, Motorola has done a commendable job not increasing the price of the Razr 60 Ultra given all the upgrades. The Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset with 16GB of RAM ensures flagship-level performance. Add to that the stunning main display, practicle cover display, and refined hinge, and you get a phone that’s as much about capability as it is about compact convenience. Its IP48 rating and improved hinge durability also inspire more confidence in its build quality compared to earlier iterations. The cameras are competent, especially in low-light conditions. EN→DEI know how harsh this review sounds, but the Motorola Razr Ultra is far from a bad smartphone. It's by far the brand's best foldable hardware yet, finally matching the build quality seen on Samsung's hardware. But with Motorola seemingly distracted by AI — along with the rest of the industry — I just don't see enough changes here to justify this price point. It's a lovely smartphone, but when you get a very similar experience for nearly half the cost with the regular Razr, I struggle to see who should even consider buying this phone. If Motorola had used the power of the Snapdragon 8 Elite to, say, guarantee five or more OS upgrades, or refreshed the cover screen's software, or slimmed the entire chassis down, I think I'd have an easier time recommending the Razr Ultra, even at its full $1,300 price.

EN→DEThe Motorola Razr 60 Ultra may look very similar to its predecessor in terms of design – if you ignore the new colour and finish options – but it makes plenty of improvements under the hood that put it right on track to be the best foldable phone in 2025. Both the external and internal displays have seen improvements to peak brightness, the battery is larger and charges faster, the hinge has been reinforced to improve durability and there’s been a performance boost too, all of which contribute to making this a superb flip phone. The Android update promise is disappointing and I’d rather have a telephoto lens than ultra-wide but the Motorola Razr 60 Ultra has a lovely design, great displays, decent camera results, a solid battery life and superb performance. There is very, very little not to love.

If you want the very best flip phone for your money, however, the Motorola Razr 60 Ultra is an easy recommendation. Even with its minor issues, the Razr 60 Ultra offers several significant upgrades over the previous generation, delivering the best performance and stamina we’ve seen from a flip phone thus far, along with an incredibly bright display, excellent cameras and once again, the best cover screen in the business. It’s going to take some fancy footwork for Samsung to come close to this quality, let alone surpass it.

EN→DEMotorola may thrive in the midrange with phones like the Moto G Stylus 2025, but the company is clearly feeling itself with the Razr. The Razr Ultra 2025 represents the absolute best of Motorola, from its iconic design to its impressive specs and a fun suite of AI features. The partnership with Pantone is clearly paying off, as evident by the display and camera improvements, while the Snapdragon 8 Elite gives the Razr a new edge as a premium Android smartphone. Of course, the price tag may be hard for some to justify, and the update promise could be better if you don’t plan on upgrading in the next three or four years. However, I feel like the positives easily outweigh the negatives and the Razr Ultra 2025 is easily one of the best foldables… no, one of the best phones of 2025.

EN→DEWith the Razr Ultra, Motorola is offering something truly special: a Snapdragon 8 Elite-powered, flagship-grade folding flip phone that makes very few compromises. This handset delivers an elegant design, refined materials, big beautiful screens, quality speakers, solid performance, and impressive battery life. All this is crowned by Moto’s excellent software and the ability to run almost any Android app on the cover display. What about those compromises, then? Unfortunately, the Razr Ultra’s cameras don’t live up to the same flagship pedigree, especially in low light with the ultrawide shooter. In addition, Moto AI is certainly interesting, but feels like a solution in search of a problem. Plus, it definitely needs more time in the oven to bake. Which brings us to that $1,299 price tag. That’s a lot of money, especially for a folding flip phone.

EN→DEThe Razr Ultra comes with three years of software support and four years for security updates. And that is disappointing, especially for the price. The Galaxy Z Flip 6 that costs $1,100 has seven years support for both. I realize that most people keep their phones for an average of two and a half years, but when you're paying $1,300 for a phone, you should be able to use it past 2029 without issues. I really like the Motorola Razr Ultra, but it's hard to recommend for $1,300. If you're comfortable with the limited software support and serviceable cameras, then go for the phone. It's fun to use, looks sharp, built well and probably one of the most unique phones you can buy today. But I think most people looking for a Razr foldable will be fine with the Motorola Razr Plus. It's still $1,000, and currently on sale, and is largely the same as when it came out in 2024.

EN→DEI’ve yet to commit long term to using a flip-style phone, but the Motorola Razr Ultra 2025 is making a strong case to make me ditch my Galaxy Z Fold 6. That’s because this compact, ultra sleek foldable phone is turbocharged in nearly every way over last year’s Razr Plus 2024. Like I’ve said already, it’s the most powerful and longest lasting foldable phone I’ve come across. On another note, I also love how it goes back to a main and ultrawide camera setup — which is a powerful combo for creators. I just wish there were more video-centric modes to really make more use out of it. At the same time, the new Moto AI features help to diversify its experience, but it doesn’t come close to matching the robust set offered by the Galaxy Z Flip 6.

EN→DEFor all the flip phone benefits, it comes with some familiar flip phone drawbacks. The inner screen folds, sure, but it’s not as bright or sharp as those on the best slab-style phones. It’s reasonably durable, but dust is still a concern. You get an ultrawide and decent crop zoom to complement the main camera, but any other slab-style phone at this price comes with a dedicated telephoto lens. There are fewer tradeoffs than on previous flip phones, but they still exist. “Ultra” is in the eye of the beholder, really. If a flip phone with a stacked spec sheet and a gorgeous exterior finish sounds Ultra enough, this Razr will delight you. It’s hard to argue that case for anyone who’s more casually interested in a flip phone, especially considering the caliber of slab-style phone you could get for $1,300. But this phone is awfully special as an object, a tool, and a thing of beauty.

EN→DEI’m going to spoil this entire review right at the front: if you want a flip phone, the new Motorola Razr Ultra is the one to get. At $1,299, the Razr Ultra for 2025 is among the most expensive folding phones you can get. It’s more expensive than last year’s Razr Plus, and based on the rumors we’ve seen, it could be pricier than the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 as well. But for the money, you’re getting what is by far the best flip phone experience to date. Motorola has aced all the fundamentals with reliable performance, battery life, and design while improving in key areas like cameras and software. The result is a device that everyone from newcomers to veterans of the foldable genre will enjoy. I’ve been testing the Moto Razr Ultra for a week now, and it’s one of the most enjoyable devices I’ve used all year. From the sharp looks to the handy cover screen features and more, the Razr Ultra is a phone built for those who want the best flipping experience possible. And oddly enough, I think it justifies the price.

EN→DEI liked the Razr Ultra. It’s a solid device and definitely an improvement over its predecessor. The phone would be great for selfie lovers and people who value flip-style foldable phones. However, $1,899.99 is pretty steep for this handset; I don’t know if I could recommend it at that price. You won’t be disappointed with the unit, but it seems pretty expensive. Motorola is pretty good, having solid deals on its phones, so if you want the Razr Ultra and don’t want to spend too much money, I’d wait for Black Friday or Boxing Day.

EN→DEOverall, this is arguably the first true flagship foldable that you can buy. There are so few compromises to this phone that it's pretty easy to recommend. The price tag is a little on the painful side though, at $1,299.99 via Motorola on Amazon. That's a full $200 on top of Samsung's closest competition (for the next couple of months anyway). But for that price you're getting a phone with a bigger battery, better build quality, a better cover screen, more flexible software, and better cameras. That's a lot of "betters" so yes, this is an easy recommendation. Foldable phones don't come cheap, and this is the first true flagship phone that you can fold in half. That's a very big deal. I think the biggest miss in this generation of Razr is the lack of notable upgrades on the lower two devices, despite retaining the same price tag.

Even so, we'd like to see better AI, cameras, and software support, especially at this price. Ultimately, the Razr Ultra is a firm step in the right direction and well worth considering for any flip phone fans, but like the Galaxy Z Flip 6, there's still some room for improvement.

Motorola pulled out all the stops for the newest member of the Razr family. It has a top-of-the-line processor, a trio of 50-megapixel cameras, tons of AI and it's more durable. But it also comes with a $1,300 price tag, which is $300 more than the Motorola Razr Plus.

EN→DEThe Razr 60 Ultra doesn’t dramatically shake up Motorola’s flip phone formula – but then it didn’t really need to. No other clamshell is as convenient to use while closed, and the firm’s stripped-back take on Android remains first class once you open the thing up. The new AI additions are useful without being overwhelming, too. Moto has improved the hardware in all the right places, with stellar performance, simply superb real-world battery life, and a pair of cameras that legitimately challenge for class honours. The screens are suitably top-tier, and the eclectic mix of colours and materials give it some welcome extra personality. It remains to be seen whether Samsung will have a price advantage once the Z Flip7 arrives, but I doubt it’ll compete with the Motorola on battery or outer screen usability. It’s the Razer I’d rather have in my pocket.

The design may not have changed much since the Razr Plus 2024 but various improvements have been made under the surface, including a stronger external display, dust resistance and a less visible crease. The finish options are lovely, both displays are superb and brighter than previously, camera results are decent and performance is excellent. The Moto AI offering still has a way to go before it delivers on all its promises and the three years of OS updates is well below average, but that’s really all there is to complain about. EN→DEIf you want the absolute best flip phone and are willing to pay for it, yes. The Razr 60 Ultra is a clear step up from the Galaxy Z Flip 6, and it’ll likely be the same for the Z Flip 7 unless long software support is a top priority. Motorola handles the cover screen better than any other flip phone maker, while the large internal display isn’t bad either. Switching between them allows you to admire the stunning design, especially if you go for the wood finish. With flagship-level performance, excellent battery life, and more than a sprinkling of AI, the Razr 60 Ultra has almost all the fundamentals nailed. The big exception would be the lack of a telephoto camera and relatively limited (by modern standards) software update commitment. But if money is no object, the Razr 60 Ultra is the flip phone to beat in 2025. Just make sure the cheaper regular Razr 60 doesn’t still offer everything you’re looking for.

The Motorola RAZR Ultra 2025 has a lot going for it. Gamers will find that even Wuthering Waves and Genshin Impact play beautifully on this flip smartphone. But it's the battery tech that is more exciting, with a 4700mAh cell proving a massive upgrade vs the Moto 50 Ultra. No more power saver mode shenanigans unless you go camera crazy! Speaking of which, the Motorola RAZR 60 Ultra's dual 50MP optics are solid enough for everyday shooting. Moving subjects do often come out blurry, which is a shame. But you can capture sharp night shots, use an AI filter and record 4K HDR video too. The Motorola RAZR 2025 offers a slick cover screen that can do it pretty much all. But if you want to flip it open, inside you'll find a similarly gorgeous and pleasingly bright 7-inch pOLED.

It makes some meaningful upgrades in all the right places and while it lacks some of the AI magic of the Samsung's Galaxies, it is not too far behind. In 2025, Motorola has introduced a slew of upgrades for the new Razr 60 Ultra that allow it to compete with non-folding flagship phones, at least on the spec sheet. EN→DEThe Motorola Razr 60 Ultra (or Razr Ultra in North America) is a thoroughly excellent small foldable that could very well be the best-performing specimen of its kind that we've seen to date. Its flaws are few, the most important being the aggressive CPU throttling. It robs the phone of some of the positives of having the best Android chipset currently available, and it's seemingly an inherent limitation of the model's thermal design. Maybe the relatively low maximum brightness of the display in manual operation also stems from thermal considerations as well. Other than that, the Razr's showing is class-leading in most respects. Battery life is excellent across the board, and charging remains best-in-class, as last year. The displays can, actually, put out plenty of nits when the ambient light calls for it - also scoring higher than the rest in that test.

EN→DEMotorola invited a group of reporters to midtown Manhattan to unveil the latest Razr phones, and the only question on my mind is whether you can truly justify a $1,300 flip phone in 2025. That’s how much the company’s Razr Ultra costs. The highest-end model in Moto’s new trio of Razr phones, the Razr Ultra promises to deliver a premium foldable experience at a premium price. It looks virtually identical to the Razr Plus (save for fancier finishes) and focuses on better specs to improve the experience. Meanwhile, the regular Razr Plus and Razr have even smaller durability and faster performance upgrades compared to the Moto Razr (2024). As the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 quickly approaches, Motorola’s latest flip phones seem ready for the competition. While the upgrades year-over-year aren’t substantial, these seem like rock-solid foldables, at least at first glance.

EN→DEOn the surface, it might not look like much has changed for the Motorola Razr 60 Ultra, but look a little deeper and there are plenty of upgrades. The design should be more durable, both internal and external displays are brighter, there’s a great selection of colour finishes on offer and there are some big battery improvements too. It needs a full review to determine if this is the flip phone to beat this year but based on my first impressions of the ultra-cute and pocketable Razr 60 Ultra, and its spec sheet, it’s certainly on the right track.

EN→DEWe focused most of our hands-on time at the event on the Moto Razr Ultra and came away quite impressed. This is the first time Motorola has delivered a flip-style folding phone with true flagship specs – a welcome improvement over previous Razr generations. We’re curious to find out how well Moto AI works in practice, and how the Razr Ultra’s new camera system fares vs. the competition. Obviously, we'll keep you posted.

EN→DEAll in all, Motorola has seemingly made a pretty solid device. It looks and feels good, and while I can’t imagine myself using all of the AI features like Playlist Studio, Look and Talk and Remember, there might be some functionalities I use daily. And I’m incredibly happy to see the return of the ultrawide camera and that the phone has an even larger battery than last year’s. In a few weeks, I’ll put this phone through its paces and offer my unfiltered opinion about this handset. The Motorola Razr Ultra will be available for pre-order on the company’s website on May 7 and will be released on June 3. The base Motorola Razr will also be available for pre-order on May 7 and will launch at retailers on May 15. Canadian pricing is still unavailable.

Unboxing the Motorola RAZR 60 Ultra, a 2025 update to one of the best flip phones upgrading the camera setup, gaming chops, battery life and more. I've been testing the Motorola RAZR 60 Ultra so here's my one day Moto review, touring the features and greatest bits. Stay tuned for my in-depth verdict on Moto's most premium 2025 foldable, coming once I've lived with it for a bit longer! Compared with the 50 Ultra from last year, this Motorola smartphone offers a few upgrades. The RAZR 60 Ultra 2025 offers a triple 50MP camera arrangement, including a new ultra-wide shooter on the cover screen and a fresh selfie cam inside. Also improved is the significantly larger 4700mAh battery, but will it be enough? Thankfully life seems good so far on the Motorola RAZR 60 Ultra, while the 68W fast charging is a massive bonus.

John V. gives you your first in-person look at the Motorola Razr Ultra, an all-new addition to the Razr 2025 family that builds on the Razr Plus with a 7-inch display, reinforced titanium hinge, 68W TurboPower charging, and the return of an ultrawide lens. Although the amount of Moto AI integrations might be a little confusing, based on design and specs, the Razr Ultra is shaping up to be the best foldable phone to beat this year. Will this Motorola Razr be worth it (it, being $1,299) with the Ultra treatment? Here's what to expect from John's hands-on impressions.

EN→DEAt R15 999 (RRP), the Morotola Razr 60 is not the cheapest foldable you will find on the market, but it is relatively well priced compared to what is currently available in the segment. It is certainly a solid option that performs well and looks nice, but the same could be said for a number of flip foldables too. We were hoping for Motorola to lean into the nostalgia of the razr brand a little more with this device, such as the chin at the bottom of the phone, or other elements from the iconic flip feature phone. As such, for those who are familar with razr, this foldable iteration does little to evoke memories of that device. It just feels like in order for the Razr 60 to standout in a market full of similarly specced and perfoming flip foldables, Motorola should have leaned more heavily into the nostalgia and design of the original.

EN→DEIt’s a bit of a shame to see so few meaningful improvements to Motorola’s more reasonably priced foldable. Expanded battery and improved IP48 rating aside, the Razr 60 looks and handles an awful lot like the Razr 50 before it, and doesn’t perform much better either. On one hand, it’s good to see the pricing remain similarly consistent – especially given that it undercuts Samsung’s new Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE. However, it continues to rankle that customers in the US are getting a much better deal than those in the UK. There have been no further advancements in the camera department, which continues to take fairly middling shots, but truly excellent selfies if you use that cover display to its full potential.

EN→DESo to tally up, the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE is the superior phone for performance, gaming, software support and video recording. If those are your main criteria, it’s worth spending the extra £50 – or £110 if you want the same 256GB of storage that you get here. Even with those factors in mind, however, I can’t say that the Galaxy is the better flip phone overall. It’s too drab and restrictive. Motorola will always have the edge when it comes to the cover displays and the efforts to make the Razr 60 a unique-looking phone that stands out have paid off. Flip phones are an inherently fun concept, and Motorola understands that. While it veers dangerously close to being all sizzle with no steak, the Razr 60 offers some substance, with improved battery life, the addition of some dust resistance to the build and solid (if familiar) cameras. I still prefer the Razr 60 Ultra and Galaxy Z Flip 7 overall but, in the battle of the entry-level flip phones, the Razr 60 is my pick.

EN→DEThe cheapest 2025 folding flip phone you can get in Australia, the Motorola Razr 60 is a fun device that comfortably fits in your pocket. You have to make peace with some compromises – no telephoto lens, and a comparatively weaker processor – but you still get all the convenience of a modern flip phone. EN→DEThe Motorola Razr 2025 doesn’t just keep the flip phone dream alive, it sort of reshapes it into something far more practical, personal, and frankly, more fun than I expected. It’s not trying to compete spec-for-spec with the latest flagships, and it doesn’t need to. What it does instead is remind us that phones can be tools, accessories, and little moments of delight all wrapped into one. Awarded to products with an average rating of 3.75 stars or higher, the AndroidGuys Smart Pick recognizes a balance of quality, performance, and value. It stands out in design, innovation, and user experience, delivering great functionality at a competitive price. In a world where slab phones all tend to blur together, this one dares to feel different.

EN→DEThe Motorola Razr (2025) is currently on sale for $700 on the company's official website. In addition to Spring Bud, other colors include PANTONE Gibraltar Sea (blue), Parfait Pink, and Lightest Sky (silver). It is a great alternative to high-end foldables like Galaxy Z Flip 6, delivering an engaging user experience without breaking the bank. However, if you want a high-end phone, the company also launched the Motorola Razr Ultra. It's similar to the base Razr, albeit with better hardware, from the camera to the stylish colors.

EN→DEI have been a fan of the Razr line for a while now, and the new Razr 60 is an interesting device. It’s refreshing to see a flip-style foldable phone priced at Rs 50,000 without cutting too many corners. At the same time, the distinctive look is exactly what I want from an everyday foldable phone. Suddenly, I feel more confident about foldable smartphones and hopeful about the future of this category.

Coming off two weeks of smartphone detox, I knew I wanted to ease back into the always-connected "Staying Mobile" lifestyle gently. So I decided to review a phone that still offered a little friction – one we’re all familiar with because it’s almost the exact same phone as last year. And because that could have been frightfully dull … I decided to review it in Paris. I’m MrMobile and I spent a week at VivaTech on the Motorola Razr 2025!

EN→DEThe Razr 2024/Razr 50 brought some meaningful upgrades to the vanilla Razr last year, but the 2025 models seem to be incrementing on the model name, more than anything else. What was good about 2024 handsets is also good on the new models - the near-creaseless internal display, the large and functional cover panel, and the Moto software are all at least as good as the competition, but in many ways better. But what wasn't great on the 2024/50 hasn't gotten any better on the 2025/60 and that's rubbing us the wrong way. The chipset was underpowered last year, and it's not gotten any more powerful this year. The camera processing isn't quite up to scratch either, and it's not been improved in any meaningful way. And for some reason, we've gotten worse battery life out of the new model, despite the increase in capacity.

EN→DEThe 2025 Motorola Razr is an awesome flip-style foldable that gets a lot of things right, especially for a device in this price range. It has a sleek design with solid build quality, a decent camera, and great battery life. Its performance isn’t top-tier, but it’s about on par with other mid-range phones, except for devices like the iPhone SE and the Google Pixel 9a. If you’re looking for a flip phone that doesn’t cost an arm and a leg, the Motorola Razr is the way to go. There’s plenty of competition in this price range, but the best device for you depends on whether you want a flip phone or are content with a slab phone. If you’re happy with a slab phone, then there are plenty of great options, and it’s not hard to find a Galaxy S25 or Pixel 9 for around that price.

EN→DEThe Motorola Razr (2025) is a phone that delivers immense value. At $700 for the only available version with 8GB RAM and 256GB of memory, the Razr is definitely the phone to consider if you're on a tight budget. To achieve such a price tag, some corners had to be cut. Well, the main weaknesses here are the overall performance of the phone's MediaTek chip and slow storage and memory. The camera quality also fails to make a particularly strong statement, both in still photography and video-recording. The battery life is okay, but won't "wow" you, that's for sure. On the up-side, the phone has two beautiful and functional screens that can get very bright. The design is certainly a highlight, and so is the friendly interface with fairly useful AI features. It's a phone that can surprise you if you come in with adequately toned expectations. Overall, it's a foldable phone for those who aren't really concerned about having the best specs around.

EN→DEAt $699.99, the Razr 2025 offers great value if you’re looking to just get your foot in the door on wearables. You're getting a phone that looks great, folds satisfyingly, and boasts a surprisingly useful outer display for quick tasks. It’s certainly not perfect, and you’ll definitely notice the compromises made to reach that attractive price point, particularly when it comes to raw performance and camera consistency. Ultimately, whether you should buy the Razr 2025 depends on your priorities. If you're looking for a top-tier performer that can juggle heavy-duty tasks with ease and capture award-winning photos in any lighting, you'll likely want to consider one of its pricier siblings. The software stability issues and shorter update lifespan are considerations that might make you want to lean toward a different brand, such as Samsung’s Galaxy Z Flip 6.

EN→DEWith Motorola's improvements, I think it’s time more people tried out a Razr. Durability is less of a concern than in previous years, and the Razr 2025 is the most well-rounded folding device I’ve used, especially considering it’s only $700. Like other Moto phones, the Razr is already lined up to receive carrier discounts, making it even easier for people to try one. EN→DEThere are more than a few reasons to stop and think about whether the Motorola Razr 2025's compromises are worth it. Motorola's sketchy track record with software updates concerns me, and the three-year OS update promise falls short of modern expectations. Moto AI might not be as secure as you'd like, and the cover screen is less capable than the one you'll find on a Plus or Ultra model. When all is said and done, I think all these points are forgivable when you consider the Razr 2025's affordable price of entry. Paying $700 or less for a phone sure to last you at least four years is a pretty solid deal. Even if you have the money to spend on a more expensive phone, the Razr 2025 finds a value sweet spot. None of the missing features from the Plus 2025 or Ultra 2025 variants significantly hamper the experience. If I had carte blanche to choose a clamshell foldable, I'd choose the Motorola Razr 2025 because of its stellar price-to-performance ratio.

EN→DEThe 2025 Motorola Razr captures the essence of the company’s flip phone experience for hundreds of dollars less than competing models. It's fun to use, easy to pocket, and the external display is surprisingly versatile. That said, Motorola cuts corners when it comes to camera quality and performance, and you can do much better in both regards with a similarly priced slab phone like the Galaxy S25 or the Pixel 9a. The Razr is perfectly fine for undemanding users, but if you want a flip phone that does it all, you'll have to spend much more on the Galaxy Z Flip 6, Razr+, or Razr Ultra.

EN→DEThe $700 Motorola Razr easily gets by on its looks and its novelty factor. With bold Pantone colors, improved durability and the convenience of being able to use its cover screen for quick tasks, this edition of the Razr will be great for essential tasks. Plus its camera can capture a lot of detail in most lighting environments and Moto AI's photo processing can lend an assist in more challenging lowlight locations. But by putting style first, this Razr does fall short against comparably priced phones when it comes to processing power and even shorter in software longevity. The Razr simply won't be for you if you value these elements of a brand-new phone, and you'd be better off with the $499 Google Pixel 9A or the $650 Samsung Galaxy S24 FE. However, the Razr is undeniably fun to use, and its $700 price is the lowest currently available for a brand-new flip-style foldable phone in the US. So if it's that style and flexibility you're after most, it's then easy to recommend the Razr as a way to get it.
