Tablet-Laptop-Hybriden sind ein wesentliches Ergebnis des zweigestaltigen Windows 8. Viele dieser Geräte stellen einen Kompromiss aus Laptop und Tablet dar, so auch das Toshiba Satellite Click W35Dt-AST2N01. Es versucht die Portabilität eines Tablets mit den Funktionen eines Laptops zu einem ziemlich niedrigen Preis in einem Gerät zu vereinen. Seinen niedrigen Preis verdankt es hauptsächlich seinem AMD A4 ULV-Prozessor. Dank dieser CPU wird kein Lüfter benötigt und das Gerät ist lautlos. Der Nachteil des ULV-Prozessors ist eine niedrige Leistung, sodass Anforderungen von typischen Laptop-Nutzern oder gar Spielern nicht erfüllt werden können.
Der 13,3-Zoll 1366 x 768 LED-Bildschirm des Click liefert vergleichsweise klare und knackige Bilder und ordentliche Blickwinkel. Die abnehmbare Tastatur, die wie bei Asus Android-Tablets für zusätzliche Akkulaufzeit sorgt, unterscheidet es vom einem Tablet. Die kombinierte Akkulaufzeit ermöglicht bis zu 8 Stunden normaler Nutzung. Die Tastatur ist nicht die beste, doch sie erfüllt ihren Zweck und bietet zudem einen einzigen USB-3.0-Port an der rechten und einen Stromanschluss an der linken Kante. Als Hybrid-Lösung erfüllt das Click wegen seiner niedrigen Leistung und dem Gewicht und den Abmessungen eines übergroßen Geräts nicht seinen Zweck.

There are even stereo speakers, which sit on either side of the tablet part. They’re fairly weedy-sounding, but at least they get you a bit of a sense of stereo. Overall the Click Mini is a bit like what you might get if you took a netbook from the late-noughties, made the screen removable and updated all the insides and the screen spec. And maybe that’s what some people are after.

Zu den Produkten und Dienstleistungen des Unternehmens gehören Energie, industrielle und soziale Infrastruktursysteme, Aufzüge und Rolltreppen, elektronische Komponenten, Halbleiter, Festplatten, Drucker, Batterien, Beleuchtung, Logistik und Informationstechnologie. Toshiba war einer der größten Hersteller von Personal Computern, Unterhaltungselektronik, Haushaltsgeräten und medizinischen Geräten.

Intel Atom: Die Intel Atom Serie besteht aus 64-Bit Mikroprozessoren für günstige und stromsparende Notebooks, MIDs oder UMPC. Besonderheit der Architektur, ist das die Befehle nicht wie derzeit üblich (z. B. Intel Core Architekture oder AMD Turion) "out of Order" sondern "in Order" ausgeführt werden.
