In comparing the Xiaomi Pad 8 to its predecessor, I noted that the cons listed at the top of this review are the same main problems I had with the Xiaomi Pad 7. So in that sense, this doesn’t really feel like much of an evolution. The display still has minor quibbles, and the software continues to frustrate me. Instead, Xiaomi has focused on making improvements in areas in which the Pad 7 already excelled: good performance and battery life get even better, the sleek all-metal build gets a tad slimmer and lighter, and the display brightness is a little higher.It’s a refinement on an already solid foundation, and well worth considering if you’re after a relatively affordable tablet that doesn’t scrimp on power.

Yes, definitely, but it comes at a price. Getting the aforementioned Focus Keyboard and Focus Pen bumps up the price of the already pricey tablet to laptop territories, which kind of defeats the main idea. With all the said accessories, the price of the Xiaomi Pad 8 Pro goes north of $700, and that's very close to a discounted MacBook Air. In its own right, the Xiaomi Pad 8 Pro is a very solid tablet with great battery life, fast performance, and a premium design.

Diese Klasse ist noch durchaus fähig neueste Spiele flüssig darzustellen, nur nicht mehr mit allen Details und in hohen Auflösungen. Besonders anspruchsvolle Spiele laufen nur in minimalen Detailstufen, wodurch die grafische Qualität oft deutlich leidet. Diese Klasse ist nur noch für Gelegenheitsspieler empfehlenswert. Der Stromverbrauch von modernen Grafikkarten in dieser Klasse ist dafür geringer und erlaubt auch bessere Akkulaufzeiten.

Qualcomm Adreno 825: Eine integrierte Grafikkarte, die im April 2025 zusammen mit dem Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 vorgestellt wurde.

Qualcomm Adreno 840: Integrierte Grafikeinheit im Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 SoC für Smartphones mit drei Slices mit je 1,2 GHz. Laut Qualcomm um 23% schneller als die Vorgängergeneration (Adreno 830).
