The display is gorgeous and can get so bright you could feasibly pull off that “hacker in the dark” look Shutterstock is so fond of. You know the one, where somehow the single monitor in the dark room seems to be bright as the sun. That’s this display. Seriously. And for gamers, there’s plenty of great touches. The RGB is everything a gamer could want (everything a business casual person will hate) and the glowing logo that matches your preferences is the cherry on top. I could probably get used to the trackpad placement or, better yet, turn it off in favor of a gaming mouse. But there’s other areas that hold me back.

MSI: Micro-Star International (MSI) wurde 1986 in Taiwan gegründet. MSI ist besonders als Hersteller von Hauptplatinen und Grafikkarten für PCs bekannt, bietet darüber hinaus Computerzubehör, Komplettsysteme, Motherboards, Grafikkarten, Laptops, Desktop-PCs, Monitore und andere Komponenten an. Der Markenname Microstar gehört in Deutschland allerdings der Firma Medion. MSI ist bekannt für seine Gaming-Produkte und hat eine breite Palette von Gaming-Laptops und Desktop-PCs entwickelt. Das Unternehmen ist auch in den Bereichen Workstations, Server und industrielle Automatisierung tätig. MSI hat Niederlassungen in Nordamerika, Europa, Asien und Australien.
High-End Grafikkarten welche auch neueste und anspruchsvolle 3D-Spiele in hohen Auflösungen und Detailstufen flüssig wiedergeben können. Durch den hohen Stromverbrauch, werden diese GPUs nur in großen und schweren Notebooks mit geringen Akkulaufzeiten angeboten.
NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4080 Laptop GPU: High-End-Notebookgrafikkarte basierend auf die Ada Lovelace Architektur. Bietet 12 GB GDDR6 VRAM (192 Bit) und ca 60-150W TGP (+ Dynamic Boost). Vorstellung sollte im Januar 2023 erfolgen, Verkaufsstart dann im Februar.
NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5080 Laptop: Eine schnelle Grafikkarte aus der Blackwell-Familie für Laptops, die auf dem GB203-Chip basiert und 8.192 Shader und 16 GB GDDR7-Grafikspeicher (256-Bit-Grafikbus) verwendet.
NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5090 Laptop: Die GeForce RTX 5090 Mobile verwendet den GB203 Chip und nutzt 10.496 Shader / CUDA Kerne von den maximalen 10.752, die der Chip hat. Damit ähnelt die RTX 5090 Laptop eher der RTX 5080 Desktop-Variante (gleicher Chip) als die Desktop RTX 5090 mit 20.760 Kernen und höheren Taktraten.

Ultra 9 285HX: Mobile High-End CPU für Gaming Notebooks basierend auf die Arrow Lake Architektur. Bietet 24 Kerne bestehend aus 8 schnellen Performance Kernen mit bis zu 5,5 GHz und 16 kleineren Effizienzkernen mit bis zu 4,6 GHz Taktung. Die CPU kann auf 40 MB L2-Cache und 36 MB L3-Cache zugreifen und ist spezifiziert mit einem TDP von 55 Watt. Der SoC integriert eine kleine dedizierte NPU namens AI Boost mit 13 TOPS (Int8) und unterstützt optional vPro Enterprise.
