And these bragging rights do come at a higher starting price of Rs. 31,999 (for the 8GB RAM + 256GB storage variant). But it misses out on a few things that Realme 12 Pro+ latches on to like a leech. There's a class-leading telephoto camera that performs like nothing else we have used in this segment or even above it (Pixel 7a).

It would have certainly set it apart from others in the market. Right now, the new smartphone doesn’t offer much that its competition in the same price bracket doesn’t already offer, except for the cameras. The cameras of the Realme 12 Pro and Realme 12 Pro Plus are indeed better than the competition.

So you can also expect good after-sales support if you go for this device. As for me, I’ve seen Realme make some bold phones in the past, and the theme seems to slow down with the Realme 12 Pro lineup. It is a great package with decent specs, and should easily last you a couple of years.

It features a large 6.67-inch FHD+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate, excellent cameras and long-lasting battery life. However, you will need to contend with a plastic build, LCD display and pre-installed apps. If cameras and design are your priorities, look no further than the Realme 12 5G in this segment. Otherwise, phones like the Lava Curve 5G, Samsung Galaxy F15 5G, and Xiaomi Redmi Note 13 offer much better specifications at a similar price.

Realme: Realme ist ein chinesischer Smartphone-Hersteller, der im Jahr 2018 gegründet wurde. Das Unternehmen ist eine Tochtergesellschaft von Oppo, einem anderen chinesischen Smartphone-Hersteller. Dieser ist ein Tochterunternehmen von BBK Electronic Corporation, einem riesigen chinesischen Elektronikkonzern, zu dem auch OnePlus und Vivo gehören.

Realme konzentriert sich auf die Herstellung von Smartphones und wurde besonders in Indien populär. Neben Smartphones stellt Realme auch andere Produkte der Unterhaltungselektronik her, wie Smartwatches, Kopfhörer und Powerbanks.

Diese Klasse ist noch durchaus fähig neueste Spiele flüssig darzustellen, nur nicht mehr mit allen Details und in hohen Auflösungen. Besonders anspruchsvolle Spiele laufen nur in minimalen Detailstufen, wodurch die grafische Qualität oft deutlich leidet. Diese Klasse ist nur noch für Gelegenheitsspieler empfehlenswert. Der Stromverbrauch von modernen Grafikkarten in dieser Klasse ist dafür geringer und erlaubt auch bessere Akkulaufzeiten.

Qualcomm Adreno 710: Grafikchip für Smartphones und Tablets, integriert im Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 SoC. Laut Qualcomm um 2x schneller als die alte Adreno 644 im Snapdragon 7 Gen 1.

Einige nicht anspruchsvolle aktuelle Spiele können mit geringen Details noch flüssig gespielt werden. Für Office und Video natürlich ausreichende Leistungsreserven.

ARM Mali-G68 MP4: Integrierte Grafikkarte der Mittelklasse mit 4 Kernen / Clustern.

Diese Karten können nur sehr alte und sehr anspruchslose 3D Spiele flüssig darstellen.  Anwendungen wie Office, Internet surfen, Bildbearbeitung oder (SD) Videoschnitt sind jedoch ohne große Einschränkungen möglich.

ARM Mali-G57 MP2: Integrierte Grafikkarte der Mittelklasse mit 2 Kernen / Clustern (MC2 oder MP2) basierend auf die Valhall Architektur.

SD 6 Gen 1: Mittelklasse SoC mit 8 Kryo Kernen (4x ARM Cortex A78 2,2 GHz Performance-Cluster, 4x ARM Cortex A55 mit 1,8 Effizienz-Cluster) und einem X62 5G Modem (bis zu 2900 Mbps Download). Der Chip wird im modernen 4nm Prozess gefertigt.

Mediatek :

Dimensity 7050: Der Dimensity 7050 ist ein Mittelklasse-Prozessor mit integriertem 5G Modem. Der CPU-Teil integriert zwei schnelle ARM Cortex-A78 Kerne mit bis zu 2,6 GHz und sechs Stromsparkerne vom Typ Cortex-A55 mit bis zu 2 GHz. Anscheinend ist der 7050 ein Rebrand des Dimensity 1080.

Dimensity 6100+: Der Dimensity 6100 Plus ist ein unterer Mittelklasse-Prozessor mit integriertem 5G Modem. Der CPU-Teil integriert zwei schnelle ARM Cortex-A76 Kerne mit bis zu 2,2 GHz und sechs Stromsparkerne vom Typ Cortex-A55 mit bis zu 2 GHz. Der 6100 ist technisch ähnlich zum älteren Dimensity 700 und fast identisch zum 6020.
