Retailing for £370, the Samsung Series 5 550 Chromebook's reliance on the internet, less than stellar build quality and sub-par components add up to make it feel overpriced. While we like the Chrome OS's user interface and are impressed with how well the device works when connected to the internet, the 550's limitations combined with the UK's lack of universal Wi-Fi coverage make it a poor choice for business users.

Thanks to the fact that the Series 5 550 Chromebook runs only web apps, there’s nothing to back up. Your documents are automatically backed up in Google Drive. When composing an email, you can attach files from Drive, as well as pin files (mark them) for offline viewing. This also has the advantage that, should your Chromebook be lost, damaged or stolen, you can carry on from where you were simply by logging into your Google account when you get a new one.

Intel HD Graphics 3000: In Sandy Bridge Prozessoren (Core ix-2xxx) integrierte Grafikkarte von Intel. Stärkere GT2 genannte Version mit 12 Execution Units (EUs). Je nach Modell mit unterschiedlichen Taktraten (350-650MHz) und TurboBoost Unterstützung (900-1350MHz).

Diese Karten können nur sehr alte und sehr anspruchslose 3D Spiele flüssig darstellen.  Anwendungen wie Office, Internet surfen, Bildbearbeitung oder (SD) Videoschnitt sind jedoch ohne große Einschränkungen möglich.
