EN→DEIf you are looking for a conventional smartphone that happens to fold, I would be more cautious. If you are specifically looking for a foldable and are willing to import one, the Xiaomi 18 Fold becomes much more interesting. Xiaomi has built a foldable that feels different, has a huge battery, powerful hardware, impressive multitasking capabilities, and one of the more sensible camera systems I have seen on a foldable.

Well, then you’d have the Xiaomi 18 Fold. It’s a massive design departure from an underrated company whose foldables I’ve admired for years, and when I bought this one from a Hong Kong exporter I wondered if it might replace the Samsung Galaxy Fold8 that makes up half of my everyday carry.

EN→DEThe Xiaomi 18 Fold is one of the most comprehensive foldables we've seen. It feels far from experimental with a mammoth battery, speedy charging, matched bright screens and a true flagship camera package. The chip from Xiaomi is helping towards that dream. However, the captures are authentic; it is China only and is not available for import and the camera's performance in the real world is not yet proven.

With its short, wide proportions, asymmetrical cover screen, Leica triple-camera system and new XRING O3 chip, the Xiaomi 18 Fold feels a little like an iPhone Fold from a parallel universe.
