Its appeal comes from a much quieter place, one that focuses on endurance, resilience, and predictability over time. In a midrange market increasingly filled with devices chasing flagship-adjacent performance or camera bragging rights, Xiaomi took a different route here, and that decision defines the phone for better and for worse. What stands out most is how cohesive the overall experience feels once you understand its priorities. The extreme durability ratings are not just marketing flourishes. They meaningfully change how the phone fits into daily life, especially for people who work outdoors, travel frequently, or simply want a device that does not demand constant caution.

The camera system leaves more to be desired, but we can't expect too much from a midranger. However, if you factor in the pricing, the phone's prospects look bleak. At its launch price, the new Pro+ faces rivals, many of which are superior (even ones by Xiaomi itself). And in this context, the Redmi Note 15 Pro+ doesn't stand out at all. Still, judging by the price movements of the previous Redmi Note 14 Pro+, we expect the newer 15 Pro+ to become much more competitive with time. Despite the upgrades it brings, we would expect it to become competitive only once it dips below the €400 mark.

The unit is backed by a 6500mAh (typ) battery that, even with fairly standard usage, only holds a charge for less than a day. Users can switch fairly easily to the Battery Saver or Ultra Battery Saver modes to really extend the phone’s life, but I was genuinely depressed when it seemed like this brand-new device had the same battery capacity as my five-year-old Note 20. But aside from some minor inconveniences, I was seriously impressed with the Redmi Note 15 Pro+ 5G and would recommend it to anyone looking for an alternative to the big three mobile brands. At $499 USD (roughly $700 CAD) its a genuinely solid phone for a reasonably affordable price. Its serious power, impressive camera and solid functionality make it a worthwhile pocket companion. The Redmi Note 15 Pro+ 5G smartphone combines peak performance with a sleek design for a seriously impressive mobile device.

Einige nicht anspruchsvolle aktuelle Spiele können mit geringen Details noch flüssig gespielt werden. Für Office und Video natürlich ausreichende Leistungsreserven.
