Battery life is a strong point, too, although you can get more power and a less cluttered operating system for similar money. The likes of the Google Pixel 9a and OnePlus Nord 5 can outperform Xiaomi’s choice in terms of grunt, for instance, while Google’s own version of Android is much cleaner and easier to live with, and its camera is also a strong performer. The Nord 5 isn’t as strong on battery life as Xiaomi’s choice, though, but its OxygenOS skin is much less in your face with AI or any ads compared to HyperOS. With this in mind, there’s still a fair bit to like about the Redmi Note 15 Pro Plus 5G, and it’s a cromulent Android handset for the price. The Xiaomi Redmi Note 15 Pro Plus 5G is a reasonable mid-range Android phone in terms of decently zippy performance, a large and sharp OLED screen and a detailed 200MP snapper. Battery life is a strong point, too, although you can get more power and a less cluttered operating system for similar money. The likes of the Google Pixel 9a and OnePlus Nord 5 can outperform Xiaomi’s choice in terms of grunt, for instance, while Google’s own version of Android is much cleaner and easier to live with, and its camera is also a strong performer. The Nord 5 isn’t as strong on battery life as Xiaomi’s choice, though, but its OxygenOS skin is much less in your face with AI or any ads compared to HyperOS. With this in mind, there’s still a fair bit to like about the Redmi Note 15 Pro Plus 5G, and it’s a cromulent Android handset for the price. Das Xiaomi Redmi Note 15 4G ist ein Handy mit Kompromissen, die bei dem Preis aber auch zu erwarten sind. Die Performance ist schwach, die Kamera genügt im Alltag, ist allerdings nicht herausragend. Das Edge-Display bringt keinen echten Mehrwert, dafür ist die Displaytechnik selbst ziemlich gut für den Preis. Aktuell ist die Preis-Leistung noch nicht optimal. Sollte das Redmi Note 15 in den kommenden Wochen und Monaten auf etwa 150 bis 180 Euro im Preis fallen, ist es eine interessante Wahl als Ersthandy, Zweitgerät oder eben einfaches Alltags-Smartphone für Nutzer, die ihr Smartphone für einfache Dinge nutzen. Wer ein Handy mit großem und gutem Display sucht, findet das beim Note 15. Ansonsten gibt es beispielsweise mit dem Poco M7 Pro einen stärkeren und günstigeren Konkurrenten, der abseits der Updategarantie eher meine Empfehlung wäre – etwas mehr Leistung und 5G.

Genau so war es auch schon beim Vorgänger, dem Xiaomi ein vorsichtiges Update verpasst hat. Es bleibt bei dem hervorragenden AMOLED-Display mit 120Hz. Auch die für den Preisbereich sehr gute Hauptkamera mit 108MP hat es in den Nachfolger geschafft. Der Akku hat eine Kapazität von 6.000mAh und liefert bessere Laufzeiten, als das Vorgängermodell. Xiaomi hat sich diesmal für einen Rahmen und eine Rückseite aus Kunststoff entschieden, was mir im Alltag aber nicht negativ aufgefallen ist. Das Display liegt nicht mehr flach im Gehäuse, sondern geht in den Rahmen über, wie auch bei vielen Motorola Edge-Modellen.

The Redmi Note 15 4G and 5G are premium-looking smartphones that deliver a solid multimedia experience. Social media usage, video streaming, and everyday tasks work smoothly without major issues. If that’s all you need, the 4G variant makes more sense to me. The performance difference between the 4G and 5G models is minimal; the camera on the 5G variant is not significantly better, and overall, the 4G version feels like the better value. That said, Redmi really needs to fix the camera performance through software updates on both phones. Since neither of these phones is aimed at serious competitive gaming, I would suggest looking at the Infinix GT 30 if you want better gaming performance under NPR 40,000. And if camera quality is your top priority, the CMF Phone 2 Pro is a better option in my opinion.

If 5G isn't important to you — and honestly, it probably isn’t — this phone is a solid budget pick. We wouldn't advise buying it at full price, though, as price drops are likely within the next couple of months. The main downside is video quality, but that's a common limitation in this price range. Some competitors offer an ultra-wide camera, though usually a pretty average one. This phone skips the ultra-wide entirely, which I'm actually fine with. And while it's not aimed at people chasing top-tier camera performance, the Redmi clearly outclasses Moto G models in display quality and beats the Galaxy A17 in raw performance. Samsung still has a slight edge in camera quality overall — at least in my view.

And while it's not aimed at people chasing top-tier camera performance, the Redmi clearly outclasses Moto G models in display quality and beats the Galaxy A17 in raw performance. Einige nicht anspruchsvolle aktuelle Spiele können mit geringen Details noch flüssig gespielt werden. Für Office und Video natürlich ausreichende Leistungsreserven.

Mediatek :

Dimensity 7400-Ultra: Der Dimensity 7400X ist ein Mittelklasse-Prozessor mit integriertem 5G Modem. Der CPU-Teil integriert vier ARM Cortex-A78 Kerne mit bis zu 2,6 GHz und vier Stromsparkerne vom Typ Cortex-A55 mit bis zu 2 GHz. Im Vergleich zum älteren 7300X, sind die A78 Kerne um 100 MHz höher getaktet. Der SoC wird im modernen 4nm Prozess gefertigt. Die Ultra Variante ist die Spezialversion für Xiaomi.
