EN→DEAsus’ Zenbook 13 OLED is an excellent machine offering the best value for your money, offering a gorgeous FHD OLED panel, dependable performance and impressive battery life. Yes, it doesn’t have the best-in-class speakers or webcam, but if you want a portable and dependable machine for your work with all-day battery life for around Rs 1,00,000, there’s no better option than the Zenbook 13 OLED.

EN→DE Archive.org versionIntel’s latest 11th Gen mobile platform offers better single-thread performance with some workloads, more advanced IO (PCIe Gen 4, Thunderbolt, etc.), and higher-performing Iris Xe integrated graphics with some configurations. However, in terms of the overall package, we think the vast majority of users will be more than pleased with what the Ryzen-powered ASUS ZenBook 13 OLED has to offer, especially considering Ryzen 7 5700U-based models start at only $899. Availability of the Ryzen 7 5800U-based model we showed you here is thin, but if you can find one in stock, this is a great little machine.

EN→DE Archive.org versionSo if price is no object, you still need to consider: is power or battery life more important to you? Given that the ZenBook’s options can do just fine with most of the tasks that most people need, my conclusion is that only people with pretty specific workflows who don’t need to move around that much are better off with the XPS. As I noted in my review, “If you’re someone for whom the OLED is worth the price, you probably know who you are.”

EN→DE Archive.org versionThe Asus ZenBook 13 is a seriously lightweight, powerful, and vibrant ultraportable laptop sporting the latest AMD Ryzen processors and a gorgeous HD OLED display, but its Radeon graphics don't match Intel's Iris Xe performance and it compromises on its ports in some unfortunate ways.

EN→DE Archive.org versionThis AMD-based ZenBook 13 UM325 is a fine portable everyday ultrabook. The competent AMD hardware and the OLED screen are its main selling-points, alongside the all-metal construction, long battery life, and fair pricing, while the cramped keyboard is still its major quirk. Just make sure you choose the AMD configuration that best suits your needs, as the Ryzen 7 5800U doesn't necessarily make the most sense on this sort of ultraportable chassis, and understand the particularities of an OLED laptop panel, so you won't end up with any unwanted surprises long-term.

EN→DE Archive.org versionWhile the Dell XPS 13 and Apple MacBook Air remain our Editors' Choice winners in the premium ultraportable category, the latest ZenBook 13 is worth a look for its exemplary computing performance. Its OLED screen is nice, too, although the lack of touch support holds it back somewhat. Overall, the Ryzen 7-based ZenBook 13 is best if you crave the absolute best raw CPU performance in the thinnest and lightest chassis available, and are willing to overlook quirks like a cramped keyboard and the lack of a touch screen.

EN→DE Archive.org versionThere's no official local price tag yet, but if we have to guess - it could easily cost at least RM4000 or more, based on its predecessors' price range (and we were told that the 5600U processor variant will be the first batch coming soon as well). Overall, I think this is a solid laptop. But if you like to play video games from time to time, perhaps it would be better to invest in an actual gaming laptop. It will be able to do the same thing at the cost of being heavier. Just my two cents.

EN→DE Archive.org versionAMD's infiltration into the laptop market gathers pace with the Ryzen 5000 Series Mobile chips. Housing up to eight cores and 16 threads alongside integrated Radeon graphics, all wrapped inside a 15W SOC, there are numerous reasons why the laptop big boys are interested in expanding their catalogues.

EN→DE Archive.org versionIt is hard to write a conclusion about the ZenBook 13 without knowing the price, but this seems to be a very well designed ultraportable laptop. We are big fans of the 13.3-inch laptop form factor and this unit seemed to be really well-rounded. The 7nm AMD Ryzen 7 5800U processor delivers outstanding performance and it has been paired with a fast PCIe Gen 3.0 x4 NVMe SSD. This means you have a very responsive system that feels snappy and has the processing power to do anything you can throw at it.
