The Inspiron 15 (3558) is a fully functional, well-made laptop with good speed and a low price point. It's not packed with features and keeps things simple, but for $329, it's not missing anything essential. Its newer processor provides a noticeable bump up in performance over the Dell Inspiron 17 5000 Series Non-Touch's CPU, and it boasts superior battery life and double the storage. You're getting a smaller screen, but that's really the only downside, and increased portability may be preferable to some.

A great example of "you get what you pay for," the Inspiron 15 3000's slow performance, hot temperatures and dull screen make it a poor deal, even at $250. For even less money, the 14-inch Acer Aspire One Cloudbook lasts nearly three times as long on a charge. However, if you can afford to spend just a little more, the Asus F555LA ($370) offers better performance, a sharp 1080p display and speakers just as strong as the Inspiron's.

Intel HD Graphics (Braswell): Grafikeinheit in den SoCs der Intel-Braswell-Serie. Basiert auf der Broadwell-GPU (Intel Gen8), unterstützt DirectX 11.2 und bietet je nach Modell 12 oder 16 EUs. Anfangs nur Intel HD Graphics benannt, später als Intel HD Graphics 400 bezeichnet.

Einige nicht anspruchsvolle aktuelle Spiele können mit geringen Details noch flüssig gespielt werden. Für Office und Video natürlich ausreichende Leistungsreserven.
