But if you are looking for the first smartphone for your kid or something to use for business, then you can’t go wrong with this one. It’s very affordable at the price of PHP 7,990, and it has everything you might need in a phone. Hardware-wise, you could say there are more powerful options out there, and that’s true. However, if you just need another phone to answer calls, text, and maybe do some very light gaming, then why not consider the Honor X7a. You do get a very large battery with it too along with a decent camera.

EN→DEThat’s it for my review of the Honor X7a. While the phone has an impressive battery life and a nice design, it simply does not offer much else. So, all things considered, I believe Honor could have done a much better job with the X7a. So this isn’t the best you can get for the money. You can find much better options like the Poco M5, Moto G31, or Redmi Note 11 from last year. Honor X7a has an appealing design and a long-lasting battery. However, its mediocre processor selection, average cameras, and sluggish UI experience keep it unnoticed in the competition. Smartphones like the Poco M5 and Moto G31 offer much better value for a similar price.

EN→DEHonor released its new 5G smartphone known as Honor X7a in January 2023 with a price tag of $193 (Rs 15,990 in India) approx. The Honor X7a equips a massive Li-Po 6000 mAh battery with 22.5W wired and 5W reverse charging support. As for color options, the Honor X7a is available in Titanium Silver, Ocean Blue, and Midnight Black color variants. For display specs, you will obtain a 6.75 inches TFT LCD display panel that renders a 720 x 1600 pixels resolution. Under the hood, the Honor X7a smartphone is powered by the 12nm Mediatek MT6765H Helio G37 chipset that will ensure you don’t face any trouble in your daily activities. At the same time, you are getting Android 12 OS with the Magic UI 6.1 custom skin. Moving to internal storage, the Honor X7a smartphone offers a single variant of 128GB space that will be accompanied by 6GB RAM. For camera specs, the Honor X7a smartphone comes with a quad camera setup which includes a 50MP main camera lens that gives immersive captures. Also a 5MP ultrawide and a duo of 2MP macro and depth camera lens is also present to improve image quality. As far as the video recording matters, you can expect the phone to record 1080p resolution without any gyro-EIS support, while for selfies you get a decent 8MP selfie lens on the front.

EN→DEThe Honor X7a starts the year off by achieving the No. 1 spot in our battery ranking, thanks to its outstanding autonomy performance, which measured 3 days and 14 hours in moderate usage — the best we have tested so far. The Honor X7a’s overall battery performance overtook the Oppo Reno 6 5G, which stayed at the top of the global battery ranking since September thanks to its overall balanced performance. The X7a’s 6000 mAh battery tested the limits of autonomy and surpassed that of the previous autonomy powerhouse, the Vivo Y72 5G, which managed to bring in a slightly lower autonomy with a 5000 mAh battery. Besides a strong performance in a mixed usage scenario, the Honor X7a was also a top performer in some use cases such as gaming, calling, video, and music streaming. And finally, even when on the go and tested outside, the Honor X7a’s ability to manage its power proved to be excellent. When it came to discharge efficiency, the device drained very low discharge currents, which means that it is well-optimized. Despite its staying power, the device’s user experience was undermined by an inaccurate battery gauge. When the phone displayed 20% of power left on the screen, the true capacity was measured at close to 16%. When the device showed 1% of power on its screen, it would shut down automatically after a minute. When charging the device, the small 22.5W power adapter struggled to fill the large 6000 mAh battery. A 5-minute top-up charge provided only 4 hours of autonomy. Moreover, the charge efficiency, as well as the power adapter efficiency, was poor. Still, the Honor X7a’s unprecedented autonomy performance in our tests shows that battery endurance, regardless of battery size, will continue to be a key focus for smartphone manufacturers this year.

Das neueste Mitglied der Honor-Familie ist das Honor X7a. Was das Design angeht, so ist es ein großes und schweres Smartphone mit einem riesigen Display und einem großen Akku. Daher ist es erwähnenswert, dass das Halten des Geräts, insbesondere mit einer Hand, nach einiger Zeit ermüdend sein kann. Zusammenfassend lässt sich sagen, dass das Design auf jeden Fall sauber und elegant aussieht. Allerdings wirkt das Design recht schlicht und hebt sich nicht unbedingt von der Masse ab. Abgesehen davon ist die glänzende, glasartige Rückseite trotz der mattierten Behandlung anfällig für Fingerabdrücke. Auf der Unterseite des Geräts befinden sich ein 3,5-mm-Kopfhöreranschluss, ein primäres Mikrofon, ein USB-Typ-C-Anschluss und ein einzelner Lautsprecher.
Das Display ist eine der größten Stärken dieses Modells, da es mit einem großen 6,74-Zoll-IPS-Panel ausgestattet ist, das zwar nur eine HD+-Pixelauflösung hat, dafür aber eine hohe Bildwiederholfrequenz von 90 Hz. Trotz der mangelnden Schärfe kann man die enorme Größe des Bildschirms durchaus zu schätzen wissen, da es das Ansehen von Netflix, YouTube und anderen Videos angenehmer macht, da die periphere Sicht fast vollständig belegt ist. Was die Leistung angeht, so wird dieses Smartphone von einem 2,3 GHz MediaTek Helio G37 Octa-Core-Prozessor und einer IMG PowerVR GE8320 GPU angetrieben, gepaart mit entweder 4 GB oder 6 GB FAM und 128 GB Speicher. Während das Scrollen durch die Benutzeroberfläche mit dem langsamen Öffnen von Apps einhergeht, laufen Apps wie der Webbrowser oder Social-Media-Plattformen gut, sobald sie einmal gestartet sind. Darüber hinaus ist die Spieleleistung auch nicht so gut.
Was die Kamera betrifft, so verfügt dieses Handy über eine 50-Megapixel-Hauptkamera, eine 5-Megapixel-Ultraweitwinkel-Linse, einen 2-Megapixel-Tiefensensor und eine 8-Megapixel-Selfie-Kamera auf der Vorderseite. Die Bildqualität der Hauptkamera ist in Ordnung, aber nichts im Vergleich zu den 50-Megapixel-Sensoren von teureren Geräten. Alles an der Bildqualität ist nur okay. Die Details sind zwar scharf, aber nicht übermäßig scharf. Die Farben sehen jedoch anständig aus, und der Dynamikbereich ist überraschend gut. Aufgrund des langsamen Chipsatzes ist die Bildaufnahme möglicherweise nicht schnell genug. Daher ist es wichtig, still zu stehen, bis die Aufnahme beendet ist, da sonst ein unscharfes Bild entstehen würde. Bei schlechten Lichtverhältnissen sind die Bilder detailarm und mit verwaschenen Farben. Bei der 8-Megapixel-Selfie-Kamera sind die Details schlecht und die Hauttöne wirken blass. Für Online-Kurse und virtuelle Meetings sollte sie jedoch gut geeignet sein. Was den Akku betrifft, so verfügt dieses Smartphone über einen satten 6.000-mAh-Akku, der bei leichter bis mittlerer Nutzung problemlos zwei bis drei Tage durchhält. Alles in allem ist es ein großartiges Smartphone, das je nach Bedarf und Vorliebe des Nutzers erkundet werden sollte.
