Obwohl 11,6-Zoll-Laptops die kleinste Laptop-Variante sind, verschwindet dieses Format langsam mit dem Abklingen des Notebook-Hypes. Allerdings spielen kleine, günstige Laptops im Bildungssektor immer noch eine wichtige Rolle. Das Lenovo IdeaPad Flex 3 11lGL05 ist das neueste Mitglied in der Familie kleiner Notebooks. Eines der einzigartigen Aspekte dieses Gerätes ist das lüfterlose Design. Kompakte Laptops mit einfachen Konfigurationen haben zwar oft keinen Lüfter, allgemein ist es aber eine Seltenheit. Nutzer, die auf Lärm empfindlich sind, wird dieses erstklassige Merkmal freuen.

Das Gehäuse des Lenovo IdeaPad Flex 3 11 besteht zur Gänze aus Kunststoff, wie in dieser Preisklasse zu erwarten ist. Der Deckel und der Bereich um die Tastatur sind recht glatt und haben eine silberne, gebürstete Optik. Die Seiten und die Unterschale wurden aus rauem, mattem Kunststoff in grauer Farbe gefertigt. Die Unterschale und das Display können nicht verbogen werden, das Display ist auch recht empfindlich, zu viel Druck könnte Dellen erzeugen.

Nun zur Konnektivität. Dieser Laptop wurde nicht mit USB-Typ-C ausgestattet, doch dafür unterstützen die zwei USB-Anschlüsse den USB-3.0-Standard. Zudem gibt es noch einen Mikro-SD-Kartensteckplatz. Die Tastatur ist etwas kleiner, manche Tasten sind ziemlich klein geraten. Die Druckpunkte sind klar definiert, und die Tastatur gibt beim Tippen nicht nach. Dieses Modell ist zwar nicht mit einem digitalen Stift ausgerüstet, doch der 10-Punkte-Touchscreen funktioniert tadellos und bietet eine ausgezeichnete Alternative zum ClickPad.

Das 11,6-Zoll-Display des Lenovo IdeaPad Flex 3 gibt es in zwei Versionen: mit einem HD-Panel (1366 x 768 Pixel) oder einem Full-HD-Panel. Welches IPS-Panel man auch wählt, der Bildschirm ist immer spiegelnd. Im Inneren des Notebooks stecken ein Intel Celeron N4020 und eine Intel UHD Graphics 600. Der Dual-Core-Prozessor basiert auf der Gemini-Lake-Architektur, verbraucht gewöhnlich sechs Watt und erreicht Taktraten von 1,1 bis zu 2,8 GHz. Das Lenovo IdeaPad Flex 3 11 hat auch 64 GB verlöteten eMMC-Arbeitsspeicher. Dieses Notebook ist preislich eine tolle Option, doch es kommt immer noch auf die Vorlieben des Benutzers an.

For most users who want their laptops to get the job done without too many hiccups, the Lenovo Chromebook Flex 3i is a solid option. It’s a convertible device and that gives you a 2-in-1 experience, which is not something you will get at this price point. ChromeOS is an easy to use platform and if you’re an Android user, the integration is simple and you can do a lot more on this laptop. At Rs 28,990, it’s not too difficult to recommend this laptop. We ended up like a lot of things that most users look out for — battery life, lag-free performance and a nice-looking design. If you are in the market for a laptop that is around Rs 30,000, then the Lenovo Chromebook Flex 3i is worth a dekko.

The Lenovo Flex 3 has main strengths in above-average build quality, good styling, and pocket-friendly price. With a robust range of ports, it should appeal to people looking to supplement their Chromebook’s internal flash storage and maybe connect to an external display via HDMI and USB-C, or a keyboard and mouse. And, with a 360-degree hinge, this Chromebook is versatile without adding some extra bulk. Perhaps the only main drawback in the Flex 3 is its cramped, dim, low-resolution display, which keeps it from getting an excellent rating. If you decide to overlook this – maybe you plan to keep the Flex 3 connected to an external monitor most of the time – it’s a worth investment. Otherwise, you’ll have to increase your budget to reach 2-in-1 Chromebooks like the Acer Chromebook Spin 713 or the Google Pixelbook Go. Just in case your budget can’t grow, and you can do with the 720p screen, the Lenovo Chromebook Flex 3 (82HG0006US) is terrific value for a 2-in-1 Chromebook.

Considering the performance of the Chromebook I can say that it definitely suits the needs of the students but for working professionals, it is not the best choice. It is good for browsing the internet, videos, emails, among others but not for severe media editing or gaming. At the price range it is being offered, I also feel that you can get a basic Windows laptop that could offer a somewhat experience. You can also keep an eye on Android tablets, which offer similar functionality. The Moto Tab G70 is a good option in this price range. Also, don't forget the Apple iPad. However, if you want a convertible 2-in-1 notebook with laptop-like form factor, that too with touchscreen at this price, you can surely check this out.

The Lenovo IdeaPad Flex 3i handles these well, topping it off with decent battery life, a solid build, a touchscreen and convertible form factor. It’s suitable not just for students, but can handle WFH requirements as well, provided you’re well entrenched in Google’s ecosystem. For its asking price of Rs 30k, it can make for a decent, affordable option to consider.

Alright, should you spend Rs 28,990 on the Lenovo Flex 3i Chromebook? In my opinion, if you have a tight budget of Rs. 30,000 and are fine with Chrome OS for your daily work, including browsing the Internet, binge-watching shows, attending online meetings/classes; then, the Flex 3i is an easy recommendation. It does a lot of things right, such as excellent battery life, a good keyboard and trackpad, and good performance on light tasks. However, it’s imperfect and has flaws, such as an average display and mediocre speaker quality. Still, you really can not complain about an entry-level Chromebook. However, you can also save a few bucks and get the Asus Chromebook Flip C214, which offers similar specs, but at the cost of a weaker chipset. Then there is the HP Chromebook 11A, but its biggest drawback is the lack of touch support.

Einige nicht anspruchsvolle aktuelle Spiele können mit geringen Details noch flüssig gespielt werden. Für Office und Video natürlich ausreichende Leistungsreserven.

Intel UHD Graphics 600: Integrierte Low-End-Grafikkarte mit DirectX-12-Unterstützung, welche in einigen ULV-SoCs der Gemini-Lake-Serie zu finden ist.

Intel UHD Graphics (Jasper Lake 16 EU): Integrierte Grafikkarte (in Jasper Lake Pentium Silver SoCs) der Gen. 11 Architektur mit 16 der 32 EUs (Shader-Cluster). Taktet mit 350 MHz Basistakt und bis zu 800 MHz Boost. Der Chip wird im 10nm Verfahren bei Intel gefertigt.

Diese Karten können nur sehr alte und sehr anspruchslose 3D Spiele flüssig darstellen.  Anwendungen wie Office, Internet surfen, Bildbearbeitung oder (SD) Videoschnitt sind jedoch ohne große Einschränkungen möglich.

Imagination PowerVR GX6250: Multicore (2 Cluster) Grafikchip für ARM-Prozessoren. Wird unter anderem im MediaTek MT8173 eingesetzt.
