It’s obvious that this is a computer that wants to do everything well enough to not be in the way, without any bells or whistles to drive the price up. That’s not to say it’s unattractive or cheaply made, especially with the thin display bezel and entirely metal enclosure, but there are no features here that help it stand taller than any of its competitors.

Das Design des gänzlich silbernen Chassis ist minimalistisch und der Laptop wiegt mit leichten Abweichungen bloß 1,2 kg. Der Laptop wirkt robust und verfügt trotz seines niedrigen Profils über ein solides Scharnier. Es gibt eine Isolationstastatur und ein Touchpad zur Erleichterung von Navigation. Beim Bildschirm des Lenovo Ideapad 710S-13ISK-80SW001EGE handelt es sich um ein entspiegeltes, 13,3 Zoll großes FHD-IPS-Panel mit guter Helligkeit und Sättigung. Die Audio-Qualität ist trotz der Größe des Laptop dank JBL-Lautsprechern und Dolby Audio Premium beeindruckend.
Der Windows 10 Home Laptop verfügt über einen Intel Core i5-6260U Dual-Core-Prozessor der sechsten Generation, bis zu 16 GB LPDDR3 RAM, eine Intel Iris Graphics 540 GPU und eine 512 GB PCIe SSD als internen Speicher. Diese Klasse ist noch durchaus fähig neueste Spiele flüssig darzustellen, nur nicht mehr mit allen Details und in hohen Auflösungen. Besonders anspruchsvolle Spiele laufen nur in minimalen Detailstufen, wodurch die grafische Qualität oft deutlich leidet. Diese Klasse ist nur noch für Gelegenheitsspieler empfehlenswert. Der Stromverbrauch von modernen Grafikkarten in dieser Klasse ist dafür geringer und erlaubt auch bessere Akkulaufzeiten.
