Priced at $999, the laptop’s discrete Nvidia graphics chip serves up a surprising amount of power, with above-average results. And when you’re not gaming, the laptop’s Core i7 processor is more than capable of allowing you to create spreadsheets, do some light video-editing and, of course, watch some movies on that beautiful 1080p display.

EN→DE Archive.org versionOverall, I like the Lenovo Legion Y545. Visually, it’s amazing. The lack of the usual gamer aesthetic and the sleek design makes it look formal. The matte textured finish feels great and premium. The logo at the back is simple but effective, much like the ones on Apple or Razer. The big problem is that when you’re doing any system-taxing tasks, you can’t put it on your lap. You’d either choke the intake fans or place the center of heat directly on your lap. You could watch a movie while in bed, but you can’t edit videos or play games.

NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 Ti Mobile: Mid-Range Notebook-Grafikkarte basierend auf der Desktop GTX 1660 Ti mit TU116 jedoch bei 80 Watt TGP (versus 110 Watt der Desktop Karte). Bietet keine Raytracing und Tensor-Kerne im Gegensatz zu den stärkeren RTX 2000 Modellen. Die Leistung soll in etwa auf dem Level einer GTX 1070 für Laptops liegen.
Diese Grafikkarten sollten alle modernen Spiele flüssig darstellen können. Anspruchsvolle Spiele müssen jedoch in mittlerer Detailstufe gespielt werden. Ältere und weniger anspruchsvolle Spiele wie die Sims Serie können auch in hohen Detailsstufen flüssig dargestellt werden.
