Oppo has delivered a winner with the F5. It succeeds on multiple levels - it's very attractive, it has a large immersive screen without the usual bulk of a phablet, the cameras are both competent in multiple conditions, battery life is strong, and performance is good enough for most tasks. Generally, there's a level of polish that we are happy to see. The only downsides are the gimmicky facial recognition feature and the relative lack of storage compared to other phones at this price point. We would have liked 64GB, and Oppo's announcement that the 4GB/64GB version will cost Rs. 5,000 more is quite odd in this current competitive scenario.

Modell: Von seinem Debüt nur aus MP3-Player-Hersteller im Jahre 2005 hat sich Oppo langsam zu einer der heute führenden Marken der Smartphone-Industrie entwickelt. Oppo hat mit ihrem „Selfie-Expert“ bei der Einführung der F-Serien-Smartphones mit Recht die Aufmerksamkeit der Welt auf sich gezogen. Diese Serie legt vor allem Wert auf eine herausragende Fototechnologie. Der jüngste Neuzugang zu seiner „Picture-Perfect“-Serie ist das Oppo F5. Der erste Eindruck, der fast sicherlich im Auge des Betrachters liegt, ist, wie elegant das Phone aussieht und in der Benutzung wirkt. Dank seiner schlanken Rahmen konnte ein 6.0-Zoll LTPS IPS LCD mit einer Auflösung von 1,080 x 2,160 Pixeln (18:9) in ein Polycarbonat-Gehäuse mit Abmessungen von 156,5 x 76 x 7,5 mm gepackt werden. Die äußerliche Eleganz dieses 152 g leichten Smartphones ist gleichauf mit anderen im selben Zeitraum herausgebrachten Phones. Wegen seines nicht entfernbaren Lithium-Ionen-Akku mit einer Kapazität von 3,200 mAh ist eine hohe Akkulaufzeit zu erwarten. Das Oppo F5 verfügt über ein blitzschnelles Mediatek MT6763T Helio P23 Chipset mit Cortex-A53 Octa-Core-CPU (8x 2,5 GHz) und Mali-G71 MP2 GPU-Chipset. Es gibt zwei Varianten dieses Smartphones: eine 4-GB-RAM-Version mit 32 GB internen Speicher und eine 6-GB-RAM-Version mit 64 GB internen Speicher. Sollte die Speicherkapazität nicht reichen, kann via MicroSD-Slot zusätzlicher Speicher hinzugefügt werden. Das sollte alle Ihre Selfie-Anforderungen erfüllen.

In puncto Software nutzt das Oppo F5 das ColorOS 3.2 Betriebssystem, welches auf Android 7.1.1 Nougat basiert. Die Benutzerschnittstelle des ColorOS Betriebsyststems war immer schon immer von Apples iOS inspiriert und es ist fair, wenn man sagt, dass die Bemühungen des Herstellers fürs Auge ansprechend sind. ColorOS 3.2 bringt definitiv gegenüber ColorOS 3.0, dem Standard-Betriebssystem des Oppo F3 Vorgängers, Vorteile. Machen Sie sich aber nicht zu große Hoffnungen, denn dieses Betriebssystem scheint über keinen Apps- Drawer zu verfügen, sodass die installierten Apps direkt am Homescreen abgelegt werden. Wie bei allen chinesischen Smartphone üblich, sind am Oppo F5 viele Social-Networking-Apps, ein Dokument-Editor und Standards-Apps, die für ColorOS entwickelt wurden, vorinstalliert. Die Tasten sind On-Screen-Tasten und können Ihren Vorlieben entsprechend konfiguriert werden. Das Oppo F5 verfügt über zwei SIM-Karten-Slots (Nano-SIM, Dual-Stand-By) und das Netzwerk unterstützt neben dem üblichen GSM und HSPA auch 4G LTE Band 1, 3, 5, 7, 8, 38, 39, 40 und 41. Der Fingerabdruckleser befindet sich an der Rückseiten und seine Erkennungsgeschwindigkeit ist bemerkenswert, denn es handelt sich um eines der schnellsten und genauesten Modelle. Nun zu den guten Teilen – den Kameras. Obwohl heute die heißesten Trends Dual-Kamera-Lösungen an der Rückseite sind, spielt die Single-16-MP-Kamera des Oppo F5 in der gleichen Liga wie diese Dual-Kamera-Lösungen. Dieses Modell ermöglicht Videoaufzeichnung mit 1080p und bei Fotoaufnahmen können User zwischen verschiedenen Seitenverhältnissen wählen, nämlich 4:3 (normal), 1:1 (quadratisch) oder 16:9 (Fullscreen). Kommen wir nun zum besonderen Merkmal dieser Serie: Ob Selfie oder Self-Portrait, die Frontkamera schießt kristallklare 20-MP-Photos. Zudem nutzt sie die A.I. Beautification-Technologie, mit welcher dieser Marke auftrumpft. Insgesamt kann die F-Serie, im Besonderen das Oppo F5 in puncto Selfie-Leistung mühelos den Preis gewinnen.
