The ASUS TUF Gaming A16 FA607 (2024) is a balanced gaming device that doesn’t cost an arm and a leg. You don’t get tons of CPU and GPU options but the Dragon Range-HX CPUs pack a lot of power and the NVIDIA GPUs aren’t TGP limited. The cooling is doing its job well. The Ryzen 9 7845HX can sustain almost 4.00 GHz in long 100% CPU loads and the GeForce RTX 4060 boasts a 2610 MHz core clock in gaming. Now, the fans are definitely loud in “Turbo” mode. If you switch down to “Performance”, the processor clock remains decent (~3.60 GHz) while the graphics card power limit is ~80W. The base PWM-free 1200p IPS panel (CSOT MNG007QA1-1 (CSW1639)) is surprisingly good. It’s snappy thanks to the 165Hz refresh rate and the 9 ms pixel response times. Also, the sRGB coverage is 93% and the color accuracy can be enhanced from a 3.1 score to an average dE result of 1.2 when our “Design and Gaming” profile is applied.

Asus: ASUSTeK Computer Inc. ist ein großer taiwanesischer Hersteller von Computer-Hardware mit Sitz in Taipeh, gegründet 1989. Unter dem Markennamen Asus fertigt das Unternehmen eine breite Palette von Produkten, darunter Laptops, Desktops, Motherboards, Grafikkarten, Monitore, Smartphones und Netzwerkgeräte, Komplettsysteme und PC-Bauteile für Endkunden.
Unter dem Markennamen ROG (Republic of Gamers) stellt ASUS Gaming-Laptops her, die bei Spielern für ihre leistungsstarken Spezifikationen, dedizierten Grafikkarten, Displays mit hoher Bildwiederholrate und fortschrittlichen Kühlsystemen bekannt sind.
Über das Gaming hinaus werden eine breite Palette von Notebooks für unterschiedliche Anforderungen und Budgets geboten: von ultraschlanken und leichten Ultrabooks bis hin zu vielseitigen 2-in-1-Convertibles und budgetfreundlichen Optionen. 2023 hatte Asus einen Weltmarktanteil von 7% am PC-Markts.
Die Kundenzufriedenheit mit ASUS-Notebooks betrifft Leistung, die Funktionen und das gute Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis der ASUS-Notebooks. Wie bei jeder Marke gibt es jedoch gelegentlich Berichte über Probleme wie Überhitzung, Treiberkompatibilität oder Probleme mit der Verarbeitungsqualität.
Diese Grafikkarten sollten alle modernen Spiele flüssig darstellen können. Anspruchsvolle Spiele müssen jedoch in mittlerer Detailstufe gespielt werden. Ältere und weniger anspruchsvolle Spiele wie die Sims Serie können auch in hohen Detailsstufen flüssig dargestellt werden.
AMD Radeon RX 7600S: Mobile Mittelklassegrafikkarte. Basiert auf die aktuelle RDNA 3 Architektur in 6nm und bietet 1.792 Kerne (28 CUs) und bei 50 - 75 Watt TDP.
NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 Laptop GPU: High-End-Notebookgrafikkarte basierend auf die Ada Lovelace Architektur. Bietet 8 GB GDDR6 VRAM (128 Bit) und ca 35-115W TGP (+ Dynamic Boost).

NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5050 Laptop: Einstiegsgrafikkarte der Blackwell-Familie für Latpops mit 2.560 Unified Shaders (CUDA Kerne) und je nach TDP Setting einer Taktung von 1500 - 2662 MHz. Die Leistung ohne DLSS und Frame Generation sollte laut Nvidia vergleichbar mit einer RTX 4060 sein.
NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5060 Laptop: Mobile Mittelklasse-Grafikkarte der Blackwell Familie basierend auf den GB206 Chip mit 3328 Shadern und 8 GB GDDR7 Grafikspeicher (128 Bit).
High-End Grafikkarten welche auch neueste und anspruchsvolle 3D-Spiele in hohen Auflösungen und Detailstufen flüssig wiedergeben können. Durch den hohen Stromverbrauch, werden diese GPUs nur in großen und schweren Notebooks mit geringen Akkulaufzeiten angeboten.

NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 Laptop: Eine kommende Grafikkarte der Blackwell-Familie für Laptops, die Team Green sehr wahrscheinlich auf der CES 2025 vorstellen wird. Wenn man bedenkt, dass der 4070 Laptop über 4.608 Unified Shader (CUDA Kerne) verfügt, wird die 5070 höchstwahrscheinlich weit über 5.000 Shader haben.

AMD Rembrandt (Zen 3+):
R7 7735HS: Mobile APU mit acht Zen 3+ basierten Kernen, welche mit 3,2 bis 4,7 GHz takten und Refresh des Ryzen 7 6800HS (+50 MHz Turbo Takt und TDP bis 54W).
Ryzen 7 7435HS: Eine Mittelklasse Prozessor für Gaming-Laptops mit 8 Zen 3+ Kernen und ohne iGPU. Die CPU sollte bei Multi-Thread-Workloads ungefähr so schnell sein wie der Ryzen 7 6800HS, was zwar weit davon entfernt ist, Rekorde zu brechen, aber Ende 2024 immer noch nicht zu verachten ist.
AMD Phoenix (Zen 4):
R9 7940HS: High-End-Mobil-8-Kern Prozessor mit 16 Threads. Taktet mit maximal 5,2 GHz auf einem Kern und kann dadurch in Single- und auch Multi-Thread-Anwendungen überzeugen. Nutzt die Zen 4 Architektur und hat einen konfigurierbaren TDP von 35-54 Watt.
AMD Dragon Range:
R9 7845HX: High-End-Mobil-12-Kern Prozessor mit 24 Threads und die zweit-schnellste Ryzen 9 Notebook-CPU zum Launch in 2023. Taktet mit maximal 5,2 GHz auf einem Kern und kann dadurch in Single- und auch Multi-Thread-Anwendungen überzeugen. Nutzt die Zen 4 Architektur und hat einen konfigurierbaren TDP von 45-75 Watt.
Intel Raptor Lake-HX:
i7-13650HX: Auf der Raptor-Lake-Architektur basierender High-End Mobil-Hybrid-Prozessor mit 14 Kernen (6 Performance- und 8 Effizienzkerne) und 20 Threads. Taktet mit bis zu 4,9 GHz (P-Kerne) bzw. 3,6 GHz (E-Kerne).
AMD Strix / Gorgon Point:
Ryzen AI 9 HX 370: Der Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 ist ein schneller Strix Point prozessor für Notebooks welcher in 2024 vorgestellt wurde. Er integriert 12 CPU Kerne, 4 basierend auf die neue Zen 5 Architktur und 8 kleinere Zen 5c basierende Kerne (mit weniger Cache). Weiters integriert der Chip eine schnelle 50 TOPS XDNA 2 Neural Engine für AI Beschleunigung und eine schnelle 16 CU RDNA 3+ GPU.
AMD Hawk Point (Zen 4/4c): Refresh of the Phoenix series with higher clocks on the AI engine. Includes Ryzen 8000 and Ryzen 200 parts.
R7 260: High-End-Mobil-8-Kern Prozessor mit 16 Threads. Taktet mit maximal 5,1 GHz auf einem Kern und kann dadurch in Single- und auch Multi-Thread-Anwendungen überzeugen. Nutzt die Zen 4 Architektur und hat einen konfigurierbaren TDP von 35-54 Watt. Technisch identisch zum Ryzen 7 8845HS.

16.00: Dieser Bereich für Displayformate war und ist eine Seltenheit. Es ist größer als der allgemeine Standard von 15 Zoll, aber noch nicht im Bereich der großen Workstations. Man hat üblicherweise höhere Bildschirmauflösungen zur Verfügung, darunter leidet aber auch die Portabilität.
