Dem Nokia 8.1 merkt man sein Alter schon an: breiteres Display Format, „nur“ Dual Cam, konventionelles Design, große Notch, kleinerer Akku. Und für das, was man geboten bekommt, ist es teuer – selbst mit dem Preisverlust nach einem Jahr! Aber das Nokia 8.1 könnte ich ohne Kopfschmerzen Mama und Papa zu Weihnachten schenken bzw. im örtlichen Elektronikmarkt kaufen!

Das Smartphone könnte noch etwas schneller sein und ohne Tageslicht schwächelt die Kamera ein bisschen. Für einen Preis ab 419 Franken gibts da aber sonst nicht viel zu meckern.

There are some I can recommend the device to; obviously the Nokia fans out there, those who can’t easily access the aforementioned deals on other devices, those who can get a good price or discount, and just those who want a nice phone and may love the design regardless of the competition. However, I really must emphasise that there are perhaps better deals to be had; if I were in the market around the Nokia 8.1’s price range today I would undoubtedly buy a different device – probably a OnePlus flagship – and that’s sad. The Nokia 8.1 is a fantastic phone let down by an overreaching price tag which will sadly hold it back from the greatness it could so easily achieve were it more reasonably priced.

Qualcomm Adreno 616: Grafikchip für Smartphones und Tablets, integriert im Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 SoC. Qualcomm gibt bis zu 30% höhere Performance an (wahrscheinlich im Vergleich zum Adreno 512 im Snapdragon 660).
