Das Acer Iconia Tab A700 ist ein 1.3 GHz Quad-Core-Tablet mit 1 GB RAM und einen microSD-Kartenslot, der bis zu 32 GB unterstützt. Mit 10,1-Zoll Größe mag das Tablet etwas zu groß für jene sein, die ein Taschenformat suchen. 665 g sind schwer genug, um unangenehm zu sein (gleiches Gewicht wie ein iPad 4). Der Bildschirm bietet eine Auflösung von 1920 x 1200 Pixel mit 224 ppi. Die bei Tablets verbreitete IPS-Technologie ist nicht geboten. Der Bildschirm liefert glatte und scharfe Bilder mit lebendigen Farben, reflektiert jedoch stark und eignet sich daher nicht für Außeneinsätze.
Das Iconia Tab A700 bietet Dolby Mobil 3 und 5.1 Channel-Surround-Sound, der in Anbetracht der kleinen Größe des Tabs beeindruckend gut ist. Das Gerät nutzt eine Version von Googles Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) und hat ein Problem mit zögerlichen und fehlerhaften Anwendungen. Web-Surfen scheint aber problemlos zu funktionieren. Das Tablet verfügt über eine 5 MP Hauptkamera und eine 2 MP Front-Kamera. Laut Tests hält der Akku etwa 8 Stunden Video-Wiedergabe via WLAN durch.
NVIDIA GeForce ULP (Tegra 3): Integrierte Ultra Low Power (ULP) GPU im Tegra 3 SoC. Technisch eine optimierte GeForce ULP aus dem Tegra 2 jedoch mit zusätzlichen 4 Pixelshader.
3D Spiele sind auf diesen Vertretern nur in Ausnahmen spielbar, grundsätzlich sind die Grafiklösungen hierfür jedoch nicht geeignet. Office Programme und Internet surfen dürfte jedoch ohne Problem möglich sein.
