Das Aorus X3 wurde von Grund auf als High-End-Gaming-Laptop designed und leistet sicherlich in jeglicher Hinsicht. Mit wildem dunkelgraue Muster und übergroßem, Weltraumzeitalter gemäßen Lüfteröffnungen sind es definitiv scharf aus. Das Aorus X3 Plus hat fließende Linien und ein Aluminium-Gehäuse. Daher ist der Laptop superschlank und überraschend leicht. Gamer werden erfreut sein, dass die Spezifikationen im Inneren genauso wild sind wie das Aussehen. Der Windows-8.1-Laptop verfügt über einen Intel Core-i7-Prozessor der vierten Generation. Es stehen zwei Varianten zur Auswahl: der i7-4710HQ oder der i7-4860HQ, wobei letzterer leistungsstärker ist. Zudem ist das Gerät mit 8 GB DDR3L RAM (optional bis zu 16 GB) und einer NVIDA GeForce GTX870 mit 6 GB GDDR5 ausgestattet. Daher können die neuesten Games ohne Ruckeln genossen werden. As far as the laptop goes, it’s certainly going back because of the Wifi issue and the gap in the lid. I will be hard pressed to replace it with another though unless I find something I really love about it. The keyboard flex and the lid flex(which causes the screen flicker) are reasons enough for me to stay away. This is a really expensive machine to have to treat it so delicately. On the positive side, the laptop is extremely lightweight and powerful – something no other laptop except the Razer Blade can claim. The Aorus X3+ is about $550 cheaper than the Razer blade with 512GB of storage, so maybe average build quality is something that could be tolerated in order to save some money.

Gigabytes Gaming-Ultrabook-Produktlinie von ihrer Tochterfirma Aorus ist ziemlich neu und muss sich erst einen großen Namen machen. Das Aorus X3 Plus verfügt über ein beeindruckendes Gehäuse aus einer Mischung aus Metall und Kunststoff. Es wiegt mit 1,87 kg etwas weniger als 2 kg und ist 22,9 cm hoch, was für die Klasse der Gaming-Ultrabooks oder -Notebooks ziemlich akzeptabel ist. Der Bildschirm ist mit 13,9 Zoll etwas kleiner als üblich, doch verfügt über eine sehr feine Auflösung von 3200 x 1800 Pixel. Der Bildschirm ist matte und kann damit großartig in grellem Licht verwendet werden, doch Touchscreen-Technologie steht nicht zur Verfügung. Die Hardware dieses Gerätes ist extrem leistungsfähig und wird durch einen Intel Core i7-4860HQ Quad-Core-Prozessor mit einer Taktrate von 2,4 GHz angeführt. Aorus ist eine Marke von Gigabyte Technology, einem taiwanesischen Unternehmen, das sich auf die Herstellung von Computerhardware und -zubehör spezialisiert hat. Aorus wurde 2014 gegründet und hat seinen Hauptsitz in Taipeh, Taiwan. Als Logo gibt es einen Falkenkopf, da der Name Aorus vom altägyptischen Falkengott Horus abgeleitet ist. Die Marke Aorus konzentriert sich auf die Entwicklung von High-End-Gaming-Produkten wie Gaming-Laptops, Gaming-Monitoren, Gaming-Mäusen, Tastaturen und anderen Zubehörteilen. 14 Zoll Display-Grösse stellt ein Mittelding zwischen den kleinen Subnotebook-Formaten und den Bildschirmen der 15 Zoll-Standard-Laptops dar.
