The HONOR Magic8 Lite is a great offering at its price tag, that’s for sure. This is not a flagship phone, it’s a mid-range phone, and proud of it. It has some features that only flagships offer, that’s for sure. It looks more expensive than it is, and has plenty to offer in general. That ranges from a really good display with high-frequency PWM dimming, all the way to outstanding battery life. If it’s within your budget, the HONOR Magic8 Lite is a solid choice. It’s one of the best budget phones out there at the moment.

I'm not a fan of the flat sides or the cheap haptics, and the camera can be frustratingly slow, but something's got to give at this price range, and these aren't terrible trade-offs.

Honor: 2014 gründete Huawei die Tochtermarke Honor unter der bestimmte Smartphone-Linien vertrieben werden. Gelegentlich werden die Produkte auch unter der Bezeichnung Huawei Honor geführt.

Der Marktanteil von Honor-Produkten ist überschaubar, aber es gibt einige Testberichte für Honor Smartphones mit durchschnittliche Bewertungen (2016).

Diese Klasse ist noch durchaus fähig neueste Spiele flüssig darzustellen, nur nicht mehr mit allen Details und in hohen Auflösungen. Besonders anspruchsvolle Spiele laufen nur in minimalen Detailstufen, wodurch die grafische Qualität oft deutlich leidet. Diese Klasse ist nur noch für Gelegenheitsspieler empfehlenswert. Der Stromverbrauch von modernen Grafikkarten in dieser Klasse ist dafür geringer und erlaubt auch bessere Akkulaufzeiten.

Qualcomm Adreno 830: Integrierte Grafikeinheit im Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC für Smartphones mit drei Slices mit je 1,1 GHz. Integriert 12 MB gemeinsamen Cache für die drei Slices. Laut Qualcomm um 40% schneller als die Vorgängergeneration (Adreno 750). 

Qualcomm Adreno 840: Integrierte Grafikeinheit im Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 SoC für Smartphones mit drei Slices mit je 1,2 GHz. Laut Qualcomm um 23% schneller als die Vorgängergeneration (Adreno 830). 

Einige nicht anspruchsvolle aktuelle Spiele können mit geringen Details noch flüssig gespielt werden. Für Office und Video natürlich ausreichende Leistungsreserven.

Qualcomm Adreno 810: Grafikchip für Smartphones und Tablets, integriert im Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 SoC. Laut Qualcomm um 40% schneller als die alte Vorgängergeneration (Adreno 710).

Qualcomm Snapdragon 6:

SD 6 Gen 4: Mittelklasse SoC mit 8 Kryo Kernen (1x ARM Cortex-A720 2,3 GHz Prime Core, 3x ARM Cortex A720 2,2 GHz Performance-Cluster, 4x ARM Cortex A520 mit 1,8 Effizienz-Cluster) und einem 5G Modem. Der Chip wird im modernen 4nm Prozess bei TSMC gefertigt.
