Fotos sahen gut aus, besonders erfreulich sind die unverzerrten, detailreichen Bilder der Ultraweitwinkellinse. Das OnePlus 9 Pro bekommt wie der Vorgänger OnePlus 8 Pro eine starke Note an denen sich die bisher getesteten Nachfolger bisher die Zähne ausbeissen. Und neue Top-Modelle von OnePlus sind hierzulande nicht in Sicht.

Das OnePlus 9 Pro bekommt mit 1,6 zwar eine superstarke Note, das hat aber auch schon der Vorgänger OnePlus 8 Pro geschafft.

It is built really well and has an excellent display, a relatively clean and minimal UI, great performance, good cameras, decent battery life, and fast charging. The main issue with the phone comes down to the software. It almost feels as if for the past year or so, OnePlus just gave up trying to fix OxygenOS and make it work reliably, knowing it would get merged into ColorOS anyway. We really hope the merger brings the promised stability to this platform because using it in its current form has been a bit of a nightmare over the past few months. Still, the OnePlus 9 Pro is not far from becoming the proper flagship smartphone that we were promised back in March 2021, and with the OxygenOS 12 update looming on the horizon, there's a good chance it might just end up becoming that.

Should you buy the OnePlus 9 Pro? It’s a tough but fair question to ask. As a phone reviewer, I don’t stick to a single phone for more than a couple of months, and even if I do, I always have at least two phones I switch between. If I were to buy a phone right now, I would want a phone that features hardware that can justify the price. At its base retail price, I do think the OnePlus 9 Pro earns its keep. Its camera, while still lacking in some areas, has improved where it matters. Its display is, in my opinion, the best you can find on an Android device. It’s more comfortable to hold and pocket than the other flagships I’ve recently used. Its performance is also top-tier, continuing OnePlus’ excellence in this field. Its charging speeds are the fastest you’ll find on any smartphone in North America. Plus, it’s also one of the few phones available in North America that’s easy to root and mod.
