EN→DEThe Redmi 15 5G aims to redefine what mid-range smartphones can deliver by combining a massive 7,000 mAh silicon–carbon battery, smooth 144 Hz display, Snapdragon 6s Gen 3 performance, 18W reverse charging, and HyperOS 2 with AI features. The smartphone is good for those who prioritize battery life (the device certainly lives up to that), a smooth high-refresh display, decent performance, and smart software features at a mid-range price. Overall, the smartphone looks well-rounded for its price – a balance of style, efficiency, and endurance.

EN→DEAt Rs 14,999, Redmi 15 5G offers a refreshed design, a massive 7,000mAh battery, a large 144Hz display, and reliable day-to-day performance, making it a solid option for those seeking an all-rounder in the affordable 5G segment. That said, it’s not without flaws. The phone feels a bit bulky, and its LCD screen could’ve been brighter. The cameras, while decent in daylight, are fairly average in low light. Still, when we look at the complete package — modern design, solid battery life, clean software, and smooth performance — the Redmi 15 5G delivers good value for its asking price.

EN→DEAfter spending two weeks with the REDMI 15 5G review, I can confidently say it’s a battery king in this price range. The overall design appears premium, and the performance is stable for daily use. You can easily scroll, stream, and multitask without lag. However, if display quality and camera performance are most important to you, there are better AMOLED options available around ₹15,000, such as the CMF Nothing Phone 2 Pro and Realme P4. However, for those who seek a dependable phone with long battery life and a clean UI, the Redmi 15 5G is a solid everyday performer that delivers more than it promises.

EN→DEThe Redmi 15 5G's position in the market is clear — a handset defined by its exceptional battery life. Its undeniable strength is the 7,000mAh silicon-carbon battery that offers almost two days of usage. It also presents itself as a good entertainment option for binge-watchers, courtesy of the nearly phablet-sized display. However, there are notable compromises. Cameras on the Redmi 15 5G are underwhelming, and the gaming performance is hampered by the processor and the lack of a gyroscope. While the software is feature-rich, it is bloatware-ridden, which detracts from the user experience. So, who is the Redmi 15 5G for? It is a decent option to consider for users whose top priority is a long-lasting battery or a large display for media consumption. However, for others, the iQOO Z10x 5G (review) and Poco M7 Pro (review) might deliver better value for money.

EN→DEThe new Redmi 15 5G is an improvement over its predecessor in a handful of important ways. The massive battery is a huge step forward and will likely provide class-leading battery life. The ability to charge other devices with it, that too at a reasonable speed, cannot be understated. The phone also has a fresh new design, with a bigger and brighter display, which should appeal to those watching content on the go. However, the phone leaves room for improvement in other aspects. CPU performance hasn't improved, not just over the Redmi 13 5G but also the Redmi 12 5G from two years ago, and the GPU performance improvement is still not enough to make the phone viable for gaming. The camera feels like a step back in some ways over the predecessor when it comes to stills, and the videos are still unusable due to a lack of stabilization.

Its sturdy design includes a thick chin, which might deter some users. While the camera performs decently for casual photography, it struggles in low light. EN→DEThe Redmi 15 is one of the best options out there for those looking for a do-it-all phone on a budget of about Rs 15,000. Yes, we would have liked an AMOLED display, a 3.5 mm audio jack, and a few more megapixels on the other cameras, but we think that the massive battery and display do compensate for them. In many ways, the Redmi 15 is a classic Redmi mid-segmenter, with some distinctly Note-able genes of the Redmi Note kind. It just does everything pretty well, and thanks to that big battery, does so for a long time. It does well enough to have been a Note. Higher praise than that we cannot give in the mid-segment. At Rs 14,999, the Redmi 15 faces stiff competition, but stands tall (a phone that big would!), thanks to its steady performance and a battery that not only keeps the phone running but can also charge other phones!

EN→DEThe Redmi 15 plays safe in all aspects and definitely has a few things to flex. The design is pretty impressive, an IP64 rating makes the deal more promising, but the bulky form factor is hard to ignore, at least for me, when you compare the device to he iQOO Z10x that manages almost a similar battery in a lighter frame. The display is bright and colour accuracy is good, but those thick bezels often come in the way of what could have been an immersive viewing experience. Performance-wise, the Snapdragon 6s Gen 3 keeps things reliable for daily tasks and casual gaming, but benchmark numbers reveal it’s a step behind rivals in the same price bracket. The cameras shine in daylight with natural portraits, but low-light struggles keep them from being all-rounders.

EN→DEThe Redmi 15C 5G focuses on delivering core essentials without unnecessary compromises, and the device succeeds in most areas that matter to everyday users. You get one of the largest displays in the segment (6.9-inch 120 Hz), a reliable Dimensity 6300 CPU, smooth and clean HyperOS 2 based on Android 15, and a big 6,000 mAh battery with 33W fast charging – all starting at an ₹12,499. Other things like IP54 protection, the inclusion of a 3.5mm headphone jack, and 5G connectivity add to its overall features. This isn’t a phone trying to be something it’s not – it’s an affordable everyday performer built for users who want a large screen, dependable battery life, consistent 5G connectivity, and clean software.

EN→DEThe Redmi 15C 5G is an affordable device that does most of what you expect. It doesn't break the boundaries, instead it doubles down on what someone at this range might want from a phone - good battery life, social media, and media consumption. The display is HD+ only, but for the Reels or YouTube shorts, it does the job. Also, the design makes it seem more expensive. But then again, there are phones in this range that one-up the Redmi 15C 5G, be it in performance, camera or even less bloatware. However, if you are familiar with the Xiaomi software and want a device that meets your day-to-day usage needs, this phone can be your choice.

Its strengths lie in the large display for browsing and media consumption, appealing design, consistent day-to-day performance, and long battery life. However, there are a few caveats, including the low-resolution display, bloatware-heavy software experience, and average camera performance. The handset is best suited for first-time smartphone buyers or users upgrading from older 4G devices.

EN→DEThe Redmi 15C feels more like a modest update to last year’s Redmi 14C with a bigger battery, slimmer design, and faster charging speeds, but the changes in pricing makes it a better offering if you opt for at least the 6GB/128GB variant.

EN→DEAt RM599 MSRP, the Redmi 15 4G isn’t the best option when you put it next to the 5G model, which has the same hardware inside bar the more powerful Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 chipset (and of course, 5G support). As with budget segment smartphones, keep your expectations reasonable, but if all you need is solid battery life and everything else just need to be serviceable, then perhaps this can be a choice – although the 5G version at a small premium is perhaps the better option, still.

Most smartphones and only a few tablets fall into this weight category. Only a few smartphones are heavier and should rather be considered tablets.
