EN→DEAt Rs 27,999, the Redmi Note 17 offers a large OLED display and an 8,000 mAh battery, but several compromises make the overall package less convincing for its price. The Snapdragon 4 Gen 4 may feel limited for performance-focused users, while the cameras struggle with low-light photography, dynamic range and video recording.

EN→DERedmi Note 17 is a media powerhouse, with its tablet-sized screen that is great for watching movies and videos and an 8,000 mAh battery to ensure your entertainment doesn't end early. The performance is enough to get by, and the cameras are nothing to write home about. It's a good pick for people who want a phone that doesn't cry for a charger frequently. But for anything beyond that, there are better alternatives for a flexible budget.

EN→DEThe Redmi Note 17 is a smartphone that makes its priorities very clear. Xiaomi has put considerable emphasis on the 8,000mAh battery and 6.9-inch AMOLED display, and both are genuinely strong aspects of the phone.

EN→DEAfter looking at the results across all our tests, the Redmi Note 17 Pro Max (review) emerges as the clear winner for battery life. Its 10,000mAh battery delivered the highest PCMark score we’ve recorded, while it also stayed close to the OnePlus Nord 6 in our streaming and gaming tests.

EN→DEThe Redmi Note 17 Pro Max (review) does a lot of things well, especially if battery life is your biggest priority. The 10,000mAh battery is very impressive, while the display, durability, and software support make it a capable everyday phone.

EN→DEThe Redmi Note 17 Pro Max starts at Rs 49,999 for the 8GB + 256GB variant and Rs 55,999 for the 12GB + 256GB variant. There are quite a few things to like about the Redmi Note 17 Pro Max. The 10,000mAh battery offers unmatched endurance, the 1.5K AMOLED display is good for both gaming and content, and the phone has a durable build that should hold up well over time. At its current asking price, though, it is difficult to justify the phone’s value on battery life alone.

The 10,000mAh battery is the biggest highlight here, and the excellent battery life, fast charging, bright display and strong durability make it a compelling everyday phone. Performance is capable for regular use and casual gaming, although the chipset feels less impressive when you consider what some competitors offer at a similar price.

EN→DEWe are conflicted at the end of this review. This Pro Max delivers on its promises for battery life and charging; it impressed us with its screen, and it even managed to squeeze the maximum photo and video quality from the otherwise basic cameras.
