Auch kann die Kamera nicht mit anderen Top-Modelle mithalten.

Ach Mensch, RedMagic bzw. nubia: Das RedMagic 5G ist ein tolles Stück Technik zu einem fantastischen Preis, sodass es mir leid tut, dass ich das Gaming-Smartphone dennoch nicht vorbehaltlos empfehlen kann. Dazu gibt es zu viele kleine Bugs, Übersetzungsfehler und seltsame UI-Entscheidungen, welche den Alltag stören.

Das RedMagic 5G hat bis auf die Kamera wirklich sehr gute Hardware verbaut. Der Preisunterschied zu anderen Flaggschiffen ist trotzdem noch so groß, dass man im Grunde fast schon zwangsweise zu diesem Smartphone raten könnte. Aber leider ist die Software so vermurkst, dass man nur hoffen kann, dass Nubia den Bootloader öffnet und die Entwickler im XDA-Forum ein Stock Android dafür raushauen können.

Am 21. April war der Verkaufsstart des Nubia RedMagic 5G Smartphones und heute packen wir es schon für euch aus. Der Lieferumfang des Nubia RedMagic 5G gestaltet sich recht minimalistisch. In einer stylischen Karton-Umverpackung finden wir das Smartphone selbst, dazu noch ein kleines Handbüchlein, ein dickes und rotes USB Typ-A zu Typ-C Kabel, ein SIM-Nupsie und ein Netzteil.

Mit dem Redmagic 5G ist dem Team von Nubia ein sehr spannendes, leistungsstarkes Gerät gelungen, das doch mit ein paar Kinderkrankheiten daherkommt. Die RedMagic-OS-Oberfläche gefällt mir aufgrund der schlechten Übersetzung ins Deutsche nicht. Ich kenne aber viele Menschen, die ihr Handy ohnehin immer in englischer Sprache nutzen – dann sehe ich keine Probleme.

Ein Asus ROG 2 kostet selbst heute noch seine 700€ und eine Alternative könnte man wenn überhaupt bei Xiaomis Blackshark finden.

nubia's RedMagic phones have always left a great impression on me due to their hardware, and this one is no different. It retains most of what made the previous phones unique, with the active cooling system, the RGB light strip, high refresh rate, and stereo speakers. I would also say the transition to a glass and metal sandwich ends up being good for the phone, as it feels more sturdy than the previous models, and I actually prefer the new implementation of the RGB lighting. The camera is also good enough for me, and the new sensors do add some versatility.

Diese Klasse ist noch durchaus fähig neueste Spiele flüssig darzustellen, nur nicht mehr mit allen Details und in hohen Auflösungen. Besonders anspruchsvolle Spiele laufen nur in minimalen Detailstufen, wodurch die grafische Qualität oft deutlich leidet. Diese Klasse ist nur noch für Gelegenheitsspieler empfehlenswert. Der Stromverbrauch von modernen Grafikkarten in dieser Klasse ist dafür geringer und erlaubt auch bessere Akkulaufzeiten.

SD 865: High-End SoC (System on a Chip) für Smartphones welcher Ende 2019 vorgestellt wurde. Integriert unter anderen einen schnellen "Prime Core" mit bis zu 2,84 GHz und drei weitere schnelle Cortex-A77 basierende Performance-Kerne.
