The Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra is still our favourite Android tablet overall but, if you aren’t married to the massive 14in display, there’s an argument for saving some cash and picking up the Tab S10 Plus instead. Performance is similar, the Galaxy AI features carry over and you get the same anti-glare display, too. If you can stomach the slightly lacklustre battery life and brightness, the Galaxy Tab S10 Plus is an impressive tablet that just about skirts under the four-figure mark.

Combined with the magnificent anti-reflective screen, this is a unique tablet compared to anything else in the market right now. The price of the tablet is RM4,599 or $1,000 USD for the 256GB version. For us here in Malaysia, it’s actually a whole lot cheaper than the other pro tablet that is on the market. The Samsung Galaxy Tab S10+ is also going to be my main tablet moving forward – and I just like it a lot.

Unless you fit a very specific use case, I don't recommend the Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra. Typically, I'm a big fan of Samsung's Plus model each year, but I have bounced right off the Ultra. It's too tall when held in portrait, uncomfortably so. The bezels are too thin, resulting in an incredibly unsightly camera notch and making the device hard to hold without touching the screen. The thinness of the entire package may look pleasing, but it feels too much like a design that wasn't created with the end user in mind. Nor do I enjoy the fact little has been done to change the look since the previous model. The Tab S10 Ultra feels stagnant while also filled with too many compromises to keep the weight down, which is no bueno for me.

We are having a hard time finding huge upgrades here, for people that might have the Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra or Tab S9 Ultra. It's definitely an upgrade that looks to keep the Galaxy Tab S current and on top of the Android foodchain, so first-time buyers have something to go to that's recent. It's definitely still a premium-feeling, well-designed tablet, and the new anti-reflective glass is a very welcome upgrade. We do have to test it extensively against the Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra, for sure, but for now — we are not seeing huge excitement over this model. More to come!

Wir finden es klasse, wenn ihr ein möglichst günstiges Tablet mit Stift und Tastatur sucht. Beide Zubehöre sind richtig gut und auch für Netflix und YouTube ist es gut. Auch die 7 Jahre Updates sind super. Wir finden es beispielsweise für Schüler und Studenten eine sehr spannende Wahl. Eine Voraussetzung ist aber, dass der Preis fällt. Den UVP von 399 Euro finden wir zu teuer. So ab 320 Euro wird es sehr interessant. Sucht ihr ein Gaming-Tablet, empfehlen wir es aber generell nicht. Dafür sind das Xiaomi Pad 7 und iPad 11 deutlich besser geeignet. Auch ein gebrauchtes iPad 10 wäre besser. Es lohnt sich auch ein Vergleich mit dem Galaxy Tab S10 FE, das wir natürlich auch getestet haben.

We expect it to be an affordable device with okay specs for the price and a fairly wide feature set, which might very well make it a bestseller. If you step in with adequately toned-down expectations, such devices usually surprise pleasantly, and the Galaxy Tab S10 Lite might very well turn out to be just that.

Samsung: Die Samsung Group ist der größte südkoreanische Mischkonzern und wurde 1938 gegründet. In der Samsung-Gruppe waren 2014 489.000 Menschen beschäftigt, und sie gehört zu den weltweit größten Unternehmen gemessen an Umsatz und Marktstärke. Der Name Samsung bedeutet im Koreanischen "Drei Sterne" und repräsentiert die drei Söhne des Firmengründers. Das Unternehmen wurde 1938 als Lebensmittelladen gegründet. Mit der 1969 gegründeten Tochter Samsung Electronics nahm Samsung die Fertigung elektrotechnischer Artikel in Angriff, wobei man sich frühzeitig auf Unterhaltungselektronik und Haushaltsgeräte konzentrierte. Weitere Zweige, in denen der Großkonzern tätig ist, sind Maschinenbau, Automobile (Hyundai), Versicherung, Großhandel, Immobilien und Freizeit. Samsung stellt eine breite Palette von elektronischen Produkten her, darunter Smartphones, Fernsehgeräte, Haushaltsgeräte und Halbleiter. Die Galaxy-Smartphone-Reihe des Unternehmens ist eine der beliebtesten der Welt. Samsung ist auch ein wichtiger Akteur in der Halbleiterindustrie und stellt Speicherchips und Prozessoren für viele andere Elektronikhersteller her.

Diese Klasse ist noch durchaus fähig neueste Spiele flüssig darzustellen, nur nicht mehr mit allen Details und in hohen Auflösungen. Besonders anspruchsvolle Spiele laufen nur in minimalen Detailstufen, wodurch die grafische Qualität oft deutlich leidet. Diese Klasse ist nur noch für Gelegenheitsspieler empfehlenswert. Der Stromverbrauch von modernen Grafikkarten in dieser Klasse ist dafür geringer und erlaubt auch bessere Akkulaufzeiten.

ARM Immortalis-G720 MP12: High-End Grafikchip für Smartphones mit 12 der 16 möglichen Kernen. Basiert auf die neue "5th Gen" Architektur (Nachfolger von Valhall) inklusive Variable Rate Shading (VRS) und Ray Racing. Im Vergleich zum G715 sollen wieder 15% höhere Performance bei gleichen Taktraten möglich sein.

Einige nicht anspruchsvolle aktuelle Spiele können mit geringen Details noch flüssig gespielt werden. Für Office und Video natürlich ausreichende Leistungsreserven.

Samsung Xclipse 540: Integrierte GPU im Exynos 1580 SoC und wahrscheinlich basierend auf die AMD RDNA 2 Architektur (wie die ältere Xclipse 920). Die GPU integriert 2 WGPs (4 CUs) und soll 37% schneller sein bei 20% weniger Stromverbrauch (wahrscheinlich verglichen zum Xclipse 530).

ARM Mali-G68 MP5: Integrierte Grafikkarte der Mittelklasse mit 5 Kernen / Clustern basierend auf die Valhall Architektur.

Mediatek Dimensity 9000:

Dimensity 9300+: Der Dimensity 9300+ ist ein Oberklasse-Prozessor mit integriertem 5G Modem. Der CPU-Teil integriert einen schnellen ARM Cortex-X4 Kerne mit bis zu 3,4 GHz, drei niedriger getaktete X4-Kerne mit bis zu 2,9 GHz und vier kleinere Cortex-A520 mit bis zu 2 GHz.

Samsung :

Exynos 1580: Mid-Range SoC mit 8 Kernen bestehend aus 3 Cluster. Ein Stromsparcluster mit 4x ARM Cortex-A520 mit bis zu 1,95 GHz, einen Performance-Cluster mit 3x ARM Cortex-A720 mit bis zu 2,6 GHz und einen einzelnen Prime-Core mit bis zu 2,9 GHz (ebenfalls Cortex-A720). Weiters unterstützt der SoC UFS 3.1, LPDDR5 RAM, Wi-Fi 6E und ein Exynos 5G Modem mit sub-6 GHz Bändern.

Samsung Exynos:

Exynos 1380: Mittelkasse SoC mit vier ARM Cortex-A55 (max. 2 GHz) im Effizienzcluster und vier ARM Cortex-A78 (max. 2,4 GHz) im Performancecluster. Die integrierte NPU bietet eine theoretische Performance von 4,9 TOPS und das integrierte 5G-Modem unterstüztt 5G-Sub6 und mmWave.
