And that buzz is somewhat warranted as the phone does provide its users with a big screen, great battery life, respectable speakers, and useful features. Although it would’ve been nice if Vivo upped the screen quality as having such low ppi on a screen this big has consequences such as loss of quality and pixelation. The front camera, though great at taking selfies, also has an annoying problem with strong light sources and performs poorly in low-light situations.

Modell: Das Vivo V7+ ist der Nachfolger der V5 Plus Flagship-Phones des Herstellers. Es wurde zudem für Selfie-Fans entwickelt. Es bietet nicht nur die höchstauflösende Frontkamera in einem Smartphone, sondern bietet auch einen breiten Bildschirm mit 18:9 Seitenverhältnis und schlanken Rahmen. Das ist ein Merkmal, das sich heutzutage auf Endverbraucher-Wunschlisten ganz oben befindet. Dank der schlanken Rahmen und des breiten Seitenverhältnisses verfügt das Vivo V7+ über einen 6-Zoll-Bildschirm bei Abmessungen eines 5,5-Zoll-Gerätes, den Vivo FullView-Display nennt. Er eignet sich ausgezeichnet für Videoschauen, Gaming sowie soziale Medien. Allerdings ist die Auflösung von 1.440 x 720 Pixeln, die eine Pixeldichte von nur 269 PPI (Pixels per Inch) ergibt, niedrig. Dagegen bietet der 5,5-Zoll-Bildschirm des Full-HD-Displays im Redmi Note 4 eine Pixeldichte von 401 PPI. In einem direkten Vergleich ist der Bildschirm des V7+ also nicht so scharf. Vivo-Phones räumen Selfie-Kameras üblicherweise Priorität gegenüber den rückwärtigen Kameras ein. Die Frontkamera ist das andere Highlight des V7+. Es handelt sich um eine 24 MP Weitwinkelkamera mit f/2.0 Blende und LED-Blitz. Sie ist spielend die beste Kamera, die man in Smartphones antrifft. Die Photos sind hell mit guten Details und natürlichen Farben. Sogar bei schlechten Lichtbedingungen sammelt die Kamera genug Licht, um gute Photos ohne Frontblitz aufzunehmen.
Die 16-MP-Kamera an der Rückseite verfügt über eine f/2.0-Blende und liefert auch detailreiche Fotos mit satten Farben. Vivo inkludiert, ähnlich dem iPhone, eine Live Photo Option: Es nimmt einige Sekunden Video mit dem Bild auf und User können es mit einem 'Tap-and-Hold' abspielen. Das sorgt für einige sehr interessante Photos. Allerdings ist die Video-Aufnahme auf Full-HD-Auflösung beschränkt. Das neue Phone ist nun statt mit einem Snapdragon 625 Mittelklasse-Prozessor wie im Vorgänger mit einem Snapdragon 450 ausgestattet. Der Wechsel von einem Snapdragon der 600-Serie auf einem Prozessor der 400-Serie ist anfangs schockierend. Allerdings handelt es sich nicht um ein Downgrade. Der neue Snapdragon 450 basiert ziemlich auf dem Snapdragon 625. Beide nutzen die gleiche 14-nm-Technologie für längere Akkulaufzeit und eine neuere Adreno 506 GPU sorgt für bessere Grafikleistung. 4 GB RAM handhaben Multitasking. Zudem erhalten User 64 GB internen Speicher für Apps, Bilder und mehr. Einige andere Highlights des Vivo V7+ sind ein raffiniertes Unibody-Design (7,7 mm schlank, 160 g Gewicht), ein schneller und genauer Fingerabdruckleser, ein eigener MicroSD-Slot für Speicherweiterungen sowie lautes und klares Audio. Vivo verbaut in seinen Geräten für ausgezeichnete Audio-Qualität mit verlustfreien Musikdateien weiterhin einen Hi-Fi-Chip. Dank des etwas größeren Gehäuses wie sein Vorgänger verfügt das V7+ über einen etwas größeren Akku mit 3.225 mAh gegenüber den früheren 3.160 mAh. Insgesamt ist das V7+ für typische Mittelklasse-User ein guter Kauf. Allerdings ist die Konkurrenz in diesem Preissegment hoch und andere Hersteller können zum gleichen Preis mehr bieten.
