An die Akkulaufzeit des Moto G7 Power kommt es nicht heran, dafür ist es leichter und kompakter. Im Vergleich zu der aktuellen Mittelklasse bietet das Moto G7 etwas weniger Leistung an. Alles in allem stimmt das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis.

The Moto G7 looks amazing, feels amazing, and performs pretty well for the price range. The low tier camera can be forgiven when so many other aspects were knocked out of the park. For $299, it’s really hard to complain when you get a USB-C port, a headphone jack, and an awesome display. However, there are a few issues that really hurt the experience. The poor network performance and the charging issues in particular are unacceptable at any price point. The battery life was a disappointment as well, despite the sizeable battery. For $100 more, you can get yourself a Pixel 3a and get better performance and a stellar camera in exchange for a dated design and far inferior build quality. For $50 less, you can pick up an Honor X series device which will definitely have a better camera and better battery life. However, the G7 remains a solid purchase. We just hope Motorola won’t drop the ball with updates.

Modell: Die Smartphones der Motorola-G-Serie waren die ersten preisgünstigen Modelle eines großen Herstellers. Sie setzte mit starker Spezifikation und nahezu unverändertem Android in puncto Preis-Leistungsverhältnis Standards. Das G7 wurde über Generationen ziemlich wesentlich verbessert. Dieses Modell folgt mit seiner tropfenförmigen Notch und einem sehr schlanken Rahmen dem Trend von 2018-2019. Das Phone misst 157 x 75,3 x 8 mm, was für seinen 6,2-Zoll-Bildschirm sehr kompakt ist. Sein IPS-LCD löst mit 1.080 x 270 Pixeln auf und wird durch das ältere Gorilla Glass 3 geschützt. In Anbetracht seines Preises sollte es damit ausreichend kratzfest sein. Die Vorderseite mit der tropfenförmigen Notch und dem Motorola-Schriftzug unterhalb des Bildschirms wird fast vollständig vom Bildschirm eingenommen. Warum für den Schriftzug dieser Platz gewählt wurde, ist weiterhin ein Rätsel. An der Rückseite des Phones findet sich das bekannte Motorola-Logo, welches auch als Fingerabdruckleser fungiert. Die Kameras befinden sich wie bei den älteren Generationen in einem kreisförmigen Ring. Das Phone wird durch einen Qualcomm Snapdragon 632 Octa-Core-Prozessor mit 4 GB RAM und 64 GB internen Speicher angetrieben. Der Speicher kann via eigenständigem Micro-SD-Slot erweitert werden.

Die rückwärtige Kamera verfügt über zwei Sensoren, nämlich einen primären 12 MP f/1.8 Sensor und einen 5 MP Tiefensensor. Videos können mit 4K-Auflösung aufgenommen werden. Die Single-Kamera an der Vorderseite nimmt mit einer Auflösung von 8 MP auf und zeichnet Videos in Full HD auf. Die Farben der rückwärtigen Kamera sind realitätsnah, doch der dynamische Bereich ist ziemlich klein. Laut verschiedenen Testberichten sind Nachtaufnahmen nicht großartig, doch die Kamera erledigt diese Aufgabe. Das Phone bietet eine 3,5 mm Audiobuchse und Bluetooth 4.2 zum Koppeln mit anderen Geräten. Das G7 hat nur einen sehr kleinen 3.000-mAh-Akku, der Quick-Charging via Type-C-Port unterstützt. Einige User und Tester berichteten, dass das G7 kaum einen halben Tag anspruchsvoller Verwendung durchhält. Es ist in Ceramic-Black und Clear-White zu einem sehr günstigen Preis erhältlich. Das G7 mag eines der billigeren Optionen der niedrigeren Mittelklasse sein. Allerdings ist die Konkurrenz von Samsungs Galaxy A Produktlinie, besonders vom Galaxy A50, welches einen sehr ähnlichen Preis wie das G7 hat, sehr stark. Das A50 verfügt über einen Super-AMOLED-Bildschirm, der viel besser ist als der Bildschirm des G7. Der Vorteil des Motorola G7 liegt in besserer Software als beim Samsung.

Diese Karten können nur sehr alte und sehr anspruchslose 3D Spiele flüssig darstellen.  Anwendungen wie Office, Internet surfen, Bildbearbeitung oder (SD) Videoschnitt sind jedoch ohne große Einschränkungen möglich.
