Archive.org versionVivo X50 isn't just a camera-centric phone it can also do high-performance gaming with its Snapdragon 730 chipset. It is also equipped with an 8gb+128gb configuration. In this video, we conducted some fps tests, benchmarks, battery drain tests, and charging.

Archive.org versionThe Vivo X50 is a camera-centric phone equipped with 48MP f/1.6 backed with Sony IMX 598. This vanilla version of their latest 2020 flagship is lacking the selling points--the periscope lens and gimbal OIS. The question is can we consider this as a worthy buy?

EN→DE Archive.org versionThe vivo X50 has an SRP of PHP 25,999, and with that, you get 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage that’s sadly non-expandable. It’s PHP 4,000 less than the pro version, and significantly trimmed down aspects applied are the lack of that superb video performance, 5G connectivity, a slightly lower battery capacity, and a lower chipset, which by the way, still delivers smoothly.

EN→DE Archive.org versionYes, the X50 has its pros and cons. But that's true for any other phone out there. But on the balance of things, and considering what the X50 offers, it definitely makes for an interesting buy if you're in the market for something under Rs 40,000.

EN→DE Archive.org versionI have no trouble recommending the Vivo X50, as it has proven to be a pretty solid all-rounder. It looks stylish, is built well, and has good cameras. Battery life and the AMOLED display are also some of its strong suits. However, I need to address that at its starting price of Rs. 34,990, it's a little underpowered compared to phones such as the Realme X2 Pro (Review) and OnePlus 7T (Review), which both have flagship-level SoCs. While this shouldn't hamper day-to-day performance, it could prevent certain high-end games from running at their full potential. Another miss from Vivo is the exclusion of stereo speakers.

EN→DE Archive.org versionvivo’s decision to use a Snapdragon 730 processor for the global version of the X50 instead of a Snapdragon 765G processor is going to generate much debate especially with the first crop of 5G phones (vivo’s own X50 Pro included) coming to the Philippines.

EN→DE Archive.org versionSo perhaps some price corrections are in order if vivo wants to make its phones stand out. Other than that, however, we don't have a lot to complain about the phone. The vivo X50 is a great, all-round mid-range smartphone that might even be worth the extra cash if you value low light shooting.

EN→DE Archive.org versionVivo X50 is one of the best-looking smartphone in its price segment but Vivo needs to give a serious facelift to the fun touch OS and has to be a bit careful about the permission it wants the user to give access to.

EN→DE Archive.org versionThe vivo X50 does impress us with its elegant design, solid build quality, and the quad cameras feature set. Comparing with the cameras in this segment, the overall quality of the camera is solid, the camera is on par with the competition and offers more camera features for a photography enthusiast. Its pro variant, the Vivo X50 Pro offers a built-in gimbal that is truly innovative, it acts as a stabilizer for the main camera whereas the Vivo X50 is stuck with the EIS only.
