Use the Asus ZenPad Z8 as an example: Full retail price is $250, or you can sign to a two-year term to drop the price by $100, with a the lowest monthly data plan running $30 per month.

Although the display could be less reflective, there could be more RAM, and the camera could produce better images, there’s a lot to love about this tablet. Modell: Für viele ist ein 8-Zoll-Formfaktor bei Tablets die bevorzugte Wahl und genau diese Zielgruppe will das Asus ZenPad Z8-ZT581KL ansprechen. Es ist mit einem 7,9 Zoll großen, LED beleuchteten LCD-Touchscreen (1.536 x 2.048 Pixeln) ausgestattet. Das exklusive Verizon-Gerät läuft unter Android 6.0 Marshmallow und wird durch einen Qualcomm Snapdragon 650 Hexa Core, 1.8 GHz Prozessor mit 2 GB RAM angetrieben. Der interne Speicher des ZenPad Z8 hat eine Kapazität von 16 GB und der MicroSD-Kartenslot ermöglicht Speichererweiterungen um bis zu 128 GB. Die Schnittstellenausstattung besteht aus einem MicroUSB-Port sowie einem MicroSIM-Slot. Zudem verfügt das Gerät über eine 8-MP-Kamera an der Rückseite und eine 2-MP-Frontkamera. Netzwerkkommunikation ist via WiFi, GPS und Bluetooth möglich.
Ein Schlüssel-Highlight des ZenPad Z8 ist seine beeindruckende Audio-Kapazität dank zweier hochwertiger Lautsprecher mit DTS HD Premium Sound, DTS-Kopfhörer und Sonic Master Technologie. Weitere Verbesserungen liefert der ASUS VisualMaster, eine Suite von exklusiven Visual-Enhancement-Technologien. Ton- und Bildqualität sind bemerkenswert. Die Akkulaufzeit von 13 Stunden ist gleichermaßen beachtenswert. Allerdings beschränkt sich die Auswahl auf eine Farbe, nämlich schwarz. Insgesamt handelt es sich um eine gut gebautes Tablet, welches mehr als Alltagsaufgaben meistert.
Qualcomm Adreno 510: Grafikchip für Smartphones und Tablets, integriert im Qualcomm Snapdragon 650 und 652 SoC. Basiert auf die 500er Grafikarchitektur wie der schnellere Adreno 520 im Snapdragon 820.
Diese Karten können nur sehr alte und sehr anspruchslose 3D Spiele flüssig darstellen. Anwendungen wie Office, Internet surfen, Bildbearbeitung oder (SD) Videoschnitt sind jedoch ohne große Einschränkungen möglich.
