Das Dell XPS 15 9500 ist das neueste Mitglied der Dell-Familie. Der 15,6-Zoll-Laptop verfügt über 16 GB Arbeitsspeicher und 512 GB Speicherplatz. Die meisten Nutzer wollen trotz der erhöhten Leistung kein sperriges 15-Zoll-Notebook in der Tasche tragen, doch das Dell XPS 15 könnte mit dem Mythos des klotzigen 15-Zoll-Laptops aufräumen, denn es ist nur 18 mm dünn und wiegt 2,05 kg. Es ist natürlich nicht das leichteste Notebook der Welt, in Anbetracht der Hardware und langen Akkulaufzeit ist das Dell 15 aber tragbarer als es sein müsste. Bei der Konnektivität wurde etwas gespart, vorhanden sind nur drei Thunderbolt-3-Anschlüsse, ein SD-Kartenleser und eine Audiobuchse. Letztere wird Benutzer mit verkabelten Kopfhörern erfreuen, andere könnten jedoch von der begrenzten Schnittstellen-Auswahl enttäuscht sein. Allerdings könnte man wegen des prachtvollen Gehäuses des Laptops darüber hinwegsehen. Das Dell XPS 15 besteht gänzlich aus CNC-Aluminium, die Kanten sind sauber, und auf der Außenseite prangt das typische Dell-Logo.
Die Tastatur wurde aus Kohlefaser gefertigt, sie ist somit noch bequemer, könnte mit der Zeit aber schmutzig werden. An jeder Seite der Tastatur befindet sich ein Lautsprechergrill, unter denen sich vier Lautsprecher befinden, die womöglich die besten auf dem Laptop-Markt sind, gleichauf mit dem neuesten 16-Zoll-MacBook-Pro. Es ist auf jeden Fall eine Verbesserung vom Dell XPS 15 2019, dessen Lautsprecher nicht mal ein kleines Zimmer mit gutem Klang füllen konnten. Das Dell XPS 15 9500 hat eine Auflösung von 3840 x 2400 Pixel, bedeckt 100% des Adobe-RGB-Farbraumes und erreicht eine Helligkeit von 500 nits. Darüber hinaus sieht der Bildschirm dank einer schmalen Einfassung noch größer aus, was Benutzer schätzen werden, wenn sie sich Filme ansehen. Dieses Notebook wäre zudem eine gute Wahl für professionelle Kreative, die ein helles und farbgenaues Display benötigen. Für angemessene Leistung wurden ein Intel Core i7-10875H und eine Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060 Ti eingebaut, die im Prinzip eine Gaming-GPU ist. Das Dell XPS 15 9500 2020 ist aber definitiv kein Gaming-Laptop, denn das dünne und leichte Gehäuse würde mit langen Gaming-Sitzungen nicht klarkommen. Alles in allem ist dieser Laptop für alle toll, die von seinen Features profitieren würden.

Dell’s XPS 15 has long been one of my favorite laptops. I’ve always found it to be the right balance of power and portability. It offered 45W H-series processors and dedicated graphics in a world where if you wanted those things, you’d have to look toward gaming laptops. In more recent years, laptops like these have become more common. NVIDIA launched its Studio program, and more OEMs are targeting creators with separate lines of PCs from their gaming laptops. But while the form factor is becoming more common, the Dell XPS 15 remains on top. The XPS 15 9510 comes with new Intel 11th-generation 45W processors, along with NVIDIA GeForce RTX 30 series graphics, making it the first XPS 15 with RTX. On top of that, it comes with other perks, such as the return of the OLED display and the Frost and Arctic White interior. Not only is it a great PC, but it’s beautiful too. The big downside of course, is it still has a 720p webcam.

Straight to the point, there's a lot to like about Dell's upgraded XPS 15 (9510) with the OLED display option -- and very little to dislike. The physical design is unchanged from last year's model, though quite frankly, we appreciate that Dell stuck with a mold that hits the mark, as opposed to forcing a change simply for the sake of change. This is a sturdy laptop imbued with premium craftsmanship, so no complaints there. We also really like the aesthetic combination of a 'Frost' exterior and 'Arctic White' interior on the model we received. Overall, the pros heavily outweigh the cons. The XPS 15 (9510) is a workhorse with a great trackpad, a gorgeous OLED screen, and an attractive design, packaged in a thin and light chassis. This is all punctuated by long battery life. It's a bit on the pricey side as configured, though the starting price is significantly lower. Either way, this is yet another excellent iteration of the XPS 15 that hits the mark.

But while this machine isn't shaking things up, it's still one of the best laptops and best Windows laptops you can buy. All models of the refreshed Dell XPS 15 pack the latest 12th gen Intel Core CPUs and come bundled with Windows 11. Higher-end configurations feature an Nvidia 30-series GPU. Like last year's iteration, Dell offers a model with a 3.5K OLED touch display. Not only is this a stellar laptop for everyday use, but it’s also a competent gaming machine. To be honest, the XPS 15 9530 is not a regular laptop. And it shouldn’t be treated as such. If we do that, it might appear that this is not a particularly good machine. Take the crude numbers from the temperature test for example. Looking at them, you won’t be able to see how quietly the device performed, even when the “Ultra Performance” profile was used. However, in real life, the machine does exactly what you need it to. It comes with a comfortable keyboard and touchpad, as well as fantastic speakers. The 3W woofers produce a vibration like no other. That’s definitely not bad for a device that hasn’t changed a bit in the past three years (or more). Thankfully, its battery life is so long that you can comfortably work for two days straight if you don’t have anything intensive to do on your laptop. All in all, this proves that despite the zero effort from the design department this year, and the mild change in generations, the Dell XPS 15 9530 is still one of the best workhorse devices you can get.

A Timeless Best in CLASS Classic // 2023 Dell XPS 15 Arc A370M

To me this is the epitome of classic premium Windows laptop. This was the first Windows laptop I EVER purchased and I think it is still one of the best Windows laptop money can buy. The Dell XPS 15 that I’ve tested comes with the Intel Arc A370M and i7-13700H!

Dell bietet Laptops an, die ich für verschiedene Einsatzbereiche eignen, z. B. Business-Laptops, Gaming-Laptops, Ultra-Portables und Workstations. Die Business-Notebooks von Dell aus den Latitude- und Precision-Serien sind eine Option für professionelle Anwender und Unternehmen.

Besonders anspruchsvolle Spiele laufen nur in minimalen Detailstufen, wodurch die grafische Qualität oft deutlich leidet. Diese Klasse ist nur noch für Gelegenheitsspieler empfehlenswert. Der Stromverbrauch von modernen Grafikkarten in dieser Klasse ist dafür geringer und erlaubt auch bessere Akkulaufzeiten.
Intel UHD Graphics 630: Integrierte Grafikkarte einiger Coffee-Lake-Prozessoren. "GT2"-Ausbaustufe mit 24 Ausführungseinheiten. Technisch identisch mit den HD Graphics 630 Grafikkarten in Kaby-Lake Prozessoren.
Diese Grafikkarten sollten alle modernen Spiele flüssig darstellen können. Anspruchsvolle Spiele müssen jedoch in mittlerer Detailstufe gespielt werden. Ältere und weniger anspruchsvolle Spiele wie die Sims Serie können auch in hohen Detailsstufen flüssig dargestellt werden.
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 Ti Mobile: Mid-Range Notebook-Grafikkarte basierend auf der Desktop GTX 1650 Ti mit Turing Architektur. Bietet keine Raytracing und Tensor-Kerne im Gegensatz zu den stärkeren RTX 2000 Modellen. NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 Ti Max-Q: Auf Effizienz getrimmte Variante der GeForce GTX 1650 Ti Mobile mit einem deutlich reduzierten Stromverbrauch von 35 Watt (TGP) versus 50 - 80 Watt. Durch die ebenfalls verringerten Taktraten, ist auch die Leistung deutlich niedriger.
NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 Ti Laptop GPU: Mobile Gaming-Grafikkarte die wahrscheinlich auf den GA107 Chip basiert. Bietet 2560 Kerne und Taktraten von bis zu 1695 MHz bei 80 Watt. Es sind jedoch viele Varianten erhältlich, bis 35 Watt und nur 1035 MHz Boost.
