The HP Probook 455 G2 with Ubuntu is very affordable, but even without the expense of Windows it feels a little cheap and lacks polish in various places from the hardware to Ubuntu itself. It’s by no means bad, but unless you specifically need Linux then a good Chromebook would be a better value and better designed Windows alternative – as long as you’re happy to work exclusively in the cloud.

It may be cheap but out of the box, but the HP ProBook 455 G2 Ubuntu won’t suit many users. A newer Ubuntu or Windows OS may help, but it’s not one for the typical untutored budget PC buyer.

For basic office tasks, the ProBook 455 Ubuntu isn't a bad desktop replacement, and Ubuntu has made big strides from niche project to a rounded OS that most people will adapt to comfortably. Nonetheless, every one of this laptop's strengths seems to be countered by some related weakness. It's spacious and filled with ports, but clunky and heavy. Its operating system is feature-rich, but buggy. It's secure for now, but won't be in two years' time.

AMD Radeon R5 (Kaveri): Integrierte Grafikeinheit einiger AMD-APUs ("Kaveri"). Basiert auf der GCN-Architektur, integriert 256 (teils auch 384) Shadereinheiten und taktet mit bis zu 626 MHz.

Einige nicht anspruchsvolle aktuelle Spiele können mit geringen Details noch flüssig gespielt werden. Für Office und Video natürlich ausreichende Leistungsreserven.
