Lenovo ThinkPad X1 2-in-1 Gen 9 (14, Intel) review – Premium Professional Convertible, But There’s One Rival That’s Better!
Quelle: Laptop Media Englisch EN→DE
The Lenovo ThinkPad X1 2-in-1 Gen 9 (14, Intel) carries the torch of the ThinkPad legacy with undeniable competence. It impresses immediately with its exceptional build quality, utilising premium aluminium for a rigid yet remarkably thin and light chassis that feels both durable and professional. The classic ThinkPad design elements are all present, including the superb keyboard offering a comfortable and precise typing experience, complemented by the iconic TrackPoint and its dedicated buttons. The versatility of the 2-in-1 design, enabled by smooth and sturdy 360-degree hinges, allows seamless transitions between laptop, tent, stand, and tablet modes, catering to a variety of workflows. Undoubtedly, the star of the show is the stunning 14-inch OLED display.

90% Lenovo Thinkpad X1 2-in-1 Gen 9 business laptop review
Quelle: Techradar Englisch EN→DE
The Lenovo ThinkPad X1 2-in-1 Gen 9 is an excellent choice for business users who need a versatile and reliable device. Its strengths in battery life, display quality, and build make it a strong contender in the premium 2-in-1 market. However, its high price and some design choices may give pause to budget-conscious buyers. Nonetheless, for those who can afford it, this ThinkPad delivers where it matters most. It's a machine I can trust to get my work done without compromising.

70% Lenovo ThinkPad X1 2-in-1 Gen 9 review: holds up surprisingly well
Quelle: Digital Trends Englisch EN→DE
The ThinkPad X1 2-in-1 is extremely well built, with features and functionality that will appeal to business users. It’s reasonably fast and has great battery life. All of that’s enough to keep it relevant even as Windows chipsets continue to advance. The problem: It’s too expensive in its current iteration. Laptops with better performance and close to the same battery life can be had for a lot less, albeit without the business-friendly features. If its price drops (or is irrelevant to you), though, the ThinkPad X1 2-in-1 will be well worth considering.

Quelle: PC Mag Englisch EN→DE
The Lenovo ThinkPad X1 2-in-1 delivers the features ThinkPad fans expect. It has a first-class keyboard, prioritizes the TrackPoint over the touchpad, and serves up a variety of USB-C and USB-A connectivity. However, compared with the Dell Latitude 9450 or HP Dragonfly G4, the X1 2-in-1 looks plain. And while the X1 2-in-1 managed to defeat the HP, which had a 13th Gen Intel Core processor, in processor benchmarks, the Lenovo was otherwise mid-pack in our processor, graphics, and battery tests. It also fell behind in battery life, and the fact that it didn't outstrip the ThinkBook's weaker CPU in some tests is concerning, considering this ThinkPad's higher-end position. The X1 2-in-1 will appeal most to ThinkPad fans with unwavering opinions on keyboard quality and those who prefer the TrackPoint over a touchpad.

86% Lenovo ThinkPad X1 2-in-1 (Gen 9) review: Finally, a Windows laptop that may strike fear in Apple
Quelle: Mashable Englisch EN→DE
The Lenovo ThinkPad X1 2-in-1 is an excellent laptop overall, but it's a business laptop equipped with the slightly more expensive Windows 11 Pro OS and Lenovo's red TrackPoint dot beloved by many. For those reasons, I don't think the ThinkPad X1 2-in-1 is worth it for most people. Don't get me wrong, it's a fantastic laptop. It offers solid performance, a surprisingly bright, matte display, a bouncy keyboard I absolutely loved typing on, a trackpad as smooth as butter, a plethora of ports, and best of all: an impressive battery life of over 14 hours. But for the average laptop user, are all of those features worth just over $2,400? I'm not so sure.

80% Lenovo ThinkPad X1 2-in-1 review: A ThinkPad with a pen
Quelle: PC World Englisch EN→DE
ThinkPads aren’t targeted at the average PC user. They’re premium business laptops, and Lenovo gives them a price that matches – thankfully, Lenovo also gives them a premium build quality. (But ThinkPads also go on pretty deep sales sometimes – especially previous-generation ones. You may be able to find this PC at quite a large discount someday). At $2,761, our review model is seriously expensive for a laptop, especially one that trades so much performance for battery life. However, it also does have serious battery life. For people who use a computer for light tasks rather than heavy local computing workloads — and who want a pen with their high-end business laptop — this is a good option. After considering the benchmarks above, you should have a pretty good idea of whether this machine is for you.

Lenovo's new 2-in-1 ThinkPad improves on one crucial feature that pro users will love
Quelle: Zdnet.com Englisch EN→DE
The Lenovo ThinkPad X1 2-in-1 offers decent hardware performance, a hi-res touchscreen, and a long battery life. You may be thinking that there are many non-enterprise users out there who would appreciate a computer like this, and normally I would agree, but its starting price of $2,531 is hard to justify beyond the enterprise context, even if it is a convertible. Additionally, keep in mind that adding options like an OLED screen and hardware upgrades will boost the price up to over $3,000. Lenovo's X1 Carbon, by comparison, costs about $1,600 and offers a similar experience. For alternative convertible laptops, I recommend Lenovo's latest Yoga 9i laptop. It has a better display and goes for much cheaper.

70% I Tested Lenovo's ThinkPad X1 2-in-1: Great Build and Battery Life but the Display Disappoints
Quelle: CNet Englisch EN→DE
The ThinkPad X1 2-in-1 Gen 10 Aura Edition can best be described as workmanlike. It doesn't stand out in any one area but provides a solid mix of design, performance and battery life. But even everyday people deserve a better display. I'd suggest getting the ThinkPad X1 2-in-1 Gen 10 only if you can splurge for the OLED upgrade. If you don't need two-in-one functionality in your next business laptop, then Lenovo's ThinkPad X1 Carbon Gen 13 Aura Edition provides similar configuration options, including an OLED option, but in a much lighter design. And HP's EliteBook Ultra G1i is CNET's current pick for best business laptop for its compelling mix of design, features and performance that you can usually find on sale -- with an OLED display -- for less than $2,000.

90% Lenovo ThinkPad X1 2-in-1 Gen 10 Aura Edition review: I tested this convertible business laptop and the pros far outweigh the cons
Quelle: Techradar Englisch EN→DE
The Lenovo ThinkPad X1 2-in-1 Gen 10 Aura Edition is a robust and reliable business laptop that’s powerful enough to tackle just about any office task you throw at it. I found the screen to be a little too reflective when used in direct sunlight, but in most regards, it gets the job done with that usual professional flourish you’d expect from a ThinkPad. The convertible configurations - laptop, tablet, tent, and presentation modes - all work seamlessly, and the addition of a touchscreen and (optional) stylus are a nice touch for those using this device to take handwritten meeting notes, sign documents, and make sketches.

70% Lenovo ThinkPad X1 2-in-1 Gen 10 Aura Edition Review: First-Class Flyer, Coach-Class Screen
Quelle: PC Mag Englisch EN→DE
We wish we had reviewed the ThinkPad X1 2-in-1 Gen 10 with its OLED screen, as it might have shifted our perspective on this model. Granted, the machine still delivers the premium build quality, excellent keyboard and touchpad, solid ports, and long battery life you'd expect from a top-tier convertible, along with AI-focused features that set it apart in its Aura Edition. However, at its price point, the ThinkPad X1 2-in-1 Gen 10 is a tough sell for business buyers outside the C-suite, who would likely be better off with the ThinkPad X1 Carbon Gen 13. For better value, business users should consider the Lenovo ThinkBook 14 2-in-1 Gen 4, while creators would be better served by the Asus ProArt PX13.

Quelle: Zdnet.com Englisch EN→DE
I'd recommend the Lenovo ThinkPad X1 2-in-1 Aura Edition to consumers who are already ThinkPad loyalists and want the reliability and performance of that lineup, as well as the fantastic battery life of Lunar Lake. If you're a hybrid worker and want to commute without worrying about a charger, this is a fantastic choice. If you're looking for a laptop that's more geared towards creative workloads, there are other options in this price bracket, like the MacBook Air M4 or the HP EliteBook X G1a.

70% The ThinkPad X1 2-in-1 Gen 10: A 2-in-1 So Great It Made Me Wish I Were an Artist
Quelle: How to Geek Englisch EN→DE
After spending some time with the Lenovo ThinkPad X1 2-in-1 Gen 10 14" Aura Edition, it became apparent that whether you should buy it or not comes down to one question: Will you actually use the 2-in-1 form factor and stylus? By all standards, this is a great PC. It is snappy, sturdy, and a joy to use. However, the 2-in-1 form factor commands a serious premium. If you're an artist that wants to be able to do some work on the go, and you're in the Windows ecosystem, I'd certainly consider it. Students with a large laptop budget that will use the screen for note-taking would also probably be well served by it. However, if your primary use for it is a regular laptop, then it becomes much more difficult to recommend over other competing devices, including many in Lenovo's own lineup, like the X1 Carbon Gen 13.

I have little doubt the ThinkPad X1 2-in-1 will last for years to come and remain reliable throughout, living up to the ThinkPad legacy. Even with a few minor gripes, this is still an excellent machine, and I look forward to seeing how Lenovo continues to refine and improve what is already a compelling offering.

90% Lenovo ThinkPad X1 2-in-1 review: The longest-last laptop I’ve ever tested
Quelle: PC World Englisch EN→DE
The Lenovo ThinkPad X1 2-in-1 Gen 10 is a solid business machine. You’re getting great build quality, extreme battery life, a 2-in-1 experience with a pen, and a “future-proof” machine that supports everything from Wi-Fi 7 to Windows 11’s Copilot+ PC AI features. It’s a little expensive, but business machines tend to have higher-end pricing. And I like this machine more than I expected to, honestly: even the selection of the low-power display and its nice anti-reflective coating are decisions you’ll really appreciate if you’re looking for this kind of PC. Yes, a glossy 4K display is more impressive at first glance. But battery life and readability in direct sunlight and brighter rooms are more important for getting work done. If that all sounds good, this may be the machine for you.

Lenovo:

Intel Lunar Lake: Launching in September 2024 with Xe2 graphics and few CPU cores.

1.329 kg:

Most smartphones and only a few tablets fall into this weight category. Only a few smartphones are heavier and should rather be considered tablets.

1.376 kg:
