Er ist Teil des zweiten Barcelo-Refresh Anfang 2023. Der SoC beinhaltet acht Zen 3 Kerne (Octa-Core CPU) welche von 2 bis zu 4,5 GHz getaktet werden (Turbo) und SMT / Hyperthreading (16 Threads) unterstützen. Der Chip wird in 7nm bei TSMC gefertigt. Die CPU ist identisch zum älteren Ryzen 7 5825U aus 2022 bzw auch zum Ryzen 7 7730U , jedoch mit Unterstützung der AMD PRO Technologien
Die Leistung ist identisch zum älteren Ryzen 7 5825U und damit hinter dem Ryzen 7 6800U mit bis zu 4,7 GHz und deutlich schnellerer iGPU.
Der SoC integriert neben den acht Prozessorkernen noch eine Radeon RX Vega 8 Grafikkarte mit 8 CUs und bis zu 2000 MHz Takt (bzw. 1900 MHz im Geekbench Leak), einen Dual-Channel DDR4 Speicherkontroller (DDR4-3200, LPDDR4-4266) und 16 MB Level 3 Cache.
Der TDP ist mit 15 Watt spezifiziert, wodurch sich die APU auch für leichte Notebooks eignet.
AMD Ryzen 7 8745HS ► remove from comparison Der AMD Ryzen 7 8745HS ist ein High-End-Notebook-Prozessor der Hawk Point Serie mit 8-Kernen und Hyperthreading (SMT), womit dieser in Summe bis zu 16 Threads gleichzeitig verarbeiten kann. Die CPU nutzt die neue Zen 4 Architektur und taktet diese von 3,8 GHz (Basistakt) bis zu 4,9 GHz (Einzelkern-Boost). Die CPU bietet 8 MB L2-Cache und 16 MB L3-Cache. Ähnlich zum Ryzen 7 8845HS , jedoch ohne NPU (Ryzen AI Engine für die AI Beschleunigung).
Die Performance bei 54W TDP auch vergleichbar mit dem AMD Ryzen 7 7745HX (ebenfalls 8 Zen 4 Kerne, max 5,1 GHz, 55W, 32 MB L3) und damit deutlich vor dem alten Spitzenmodell AMD Ryzen 9 6980HX bzw. 6980HS (mit geringerem TDP).
Der Chip integriert eine moderne RDNA 3 basierende Grafikkarte (iGPU) namens Radeon 780M mit 12 CUs und bis zu 2,6 GHz inklusive AV1 Video-Engine. An Anschlüssen bietet Hawk Point 2x USB 4 (40 Gbps), 20 PCIe 4.0 Lanes und einen Dual-Channel DDR5-5600 / LPDDR5x-7500 Speicherkontroller.
Die Hawk Point Serie ist ein einzelner Chip (im Unterschied zur Dragon Range 7045HX Serie) und wird bei TSMC im modernen 4nm FinFET Prozess gefertigt.
