Da wäre Sony fast der ganz runde Wurf gelungen. So viel Hightech auf engstem Raum zu bündeln, ist nämlich echt eine Leistung. Obendrein ist das Display Top, die Performance zukunftssicher und die Kamera für alle Situationen gut gerüstet. Die Akku-Leistung verhindert allerdings das Prädikat „Überragend“, denn hier bietet das Smartphone in allen relevanten Disziplinen einfach zu wenig.

On the other hand, a lot of people are specifically after a Sony device, and if you liked the Xperia 1 then you should equally enjoy the Xperia 5 because it's almost an exact replica - just smaller and, more crucially, £141 cheaper at £699. Sure, there's some work to be done here, but the Xperia 5 is quite a high five.

It appears that the demand for compact flagships is still alive and Sony wants a piece of that pie. After all, the company has been doing small Xperias since forever. At first glance, the Xperia 5 is exactly what users sticking to the compact premium smartphone segment are looking for. Modell: Sony scheint nie zu versagen, wenn sie hochwertige Smartphones für ihr treues Publikum entwickeln. Sony kennt, was als das Beste für die Nutzung gilt, und konzentriert sich mehr auf das, was verbessert werden muss. Seit mehr als einem Jahrzehnt ist Sony in der Branche tätig, und dieses Ansehen gibt ihm definitiv einen Vorsprung in der Smartphone-Branche. Hiemit stellt Sony das Xperia 5 vor, ein kompaktes Smartphone handelt, das speziell für Benutzer entwickelt wurde, die sowohl auf Display als auch auf Design Wert legen. Das Xperia 5 verwendet einen Snapdragon 855 Chipsatz, 128 GB internem Speicher sowie 6 GB RAM. Andere bemerkenswerte Merkmale sind Gorilla Glass 6 an Vorder- und Rückseite mit Aluminium-Seitenrahmen und ein 6,1 Zoll großes OLED-Panel mit einem Seitenverhältnis von 21:9. Das wird als das bedeutendste Update angesehen, das dieses Modell zu bieten hat.

Das relativ hohe Seitenverhältnis von 21:9 hat, im Vergleich zu anderen Mitbewerbern, beim Videoschauen und Multitasking im Split-View-Modus eine herausragender Bedeutung. Allerdings kann man nicht abstreiten, dass neue Benutzer von Sony-Smartphonemodellen möglicherweise etwas Zeit benötigen, um sich an das Display zu gewöhnen. Doch das Xperia 5 bleibt beim diesem Seitenverhältnis als eine seiner Hauptattraktionen. Außerdem verfügt das Sony Xperia 5 Modell über ein Hybrid-Stereolautsprecher-Setup von Dolby Atmos, das zuvor im Sony Xperia 1 Smartphone verwendet wurde. Das Sony Xperia 5 bietet drei 12-MP-Kameras, mit jeweils eigener Aufgabe. An der Vorderseite befindet sich eine 8-MP-Kamera mit f/2.0-Blende. Zudem stellt Sony die brandneue App Cinema Pro vor, mit der Benutzer mit dem Xperia 5 selbst qualitativ hochwertigere Videos erstellen und teilen können, während sie ihre eigene Kreativität zum Ausdruck bringen können. Es ist davon auszugehen, dass Sony bei der Smartphone-Produktion immer noch modernen Trends folgt. Das Sony Xperia 5 bietet der Marke eine faire Chance für Verbesserungen, Neues zu lernen und hinter sich zu lassen, was für sie nicht funktioniert. Es ist für sich ein würdiger Konkurrent. Kompakte Smartphones werden nicht mehr das sein, was sie waren, da das Sony Xperia 5 den Weg zu einer futuristischeren Entwicklung ebnet.

SD 855: High-End SoC (System on a Chip) für Smartphones welcher Ende 2018 vorgestellt wurde. Integriert unter anderen einen schnellen "Prime Core" mit bis zu 2,84 GHz und drei weitere schnelle Cortex-A76 basierende Performance-Kerne.
