Modell: Das Xiaomi Mi A1 biet eine primäre Kamera-Lösung mit zwei 12-MP-Sensoren, 2-fach optischen Zoom, Phasenerkennungsautofokus und einen Dual-LED-Dual-Tone-Blitz. Seine Sekundär-Kamera arbeitet mit 5 MP und 1080p. Dank einer Bauhöhe von nur 7,3 mm passt es bequem in die Hand des Users. Das Xiaomi Mi A1 is in 4 Farben erhältlich, nämlich schwarz, gold, rose-gold und rot. Zudem ist es fingerabdruck-abweisend, zeigt diskrete Trenn-Linien und ist in ein Metall-Gehäuse gekleidet. Der nicht entfernbare Lithium-Ionen-Akku mit 3,080 mAh sorgt für eine Akkulaufzeit von 87 Stunden. Das Xiaomi Mi A1 bietet ein gebogenes 2.5D-Glas-Display, das sich perfekt für Lesen, Gaming und Video-Schauen eignet. Dank Corning-Gorilla-Glas 3 ist der Bildschirm langlebig. Die Firmware wurde auf MIUI 9 aktualisiert. Der kapazitive 5,5 Zoll große LTPS IPS LCD-Touchscreen bietet 16M-Farben und löst mit 1.080 x 1.920 Pixeln bei einem Seitenverhältnis von 16:9 auf und unterstützt Multi-Touch. Das Phone nutzt eine Qualcomm MSM8953 Snapdragon 625 Octa-Core-CPU mit 2.0 GHz Cortex-A53-Kernen und eine Adreno 506 GPU. Es ist mit 4 GB RAM und 64 GB internen Speicher ausgestattet. Zudem kann der Speicher mit einer MicroSD (im zweiten SIM-Slot) um bis zu 128 GB erweitert werden.

10V-Smart-Power-Strength in Kombination mit dem Dirac-HD-Sound-Algorithmus sorgen für leistungsstarke Audio-Ausgabe am Lautsprecher und verbessern die Klangqualität von Musik und Anrufen. Zudem verbessert das oben und unten positionierte Mikrophon die Sprachqualität von Anrufen. Dank Kombination mit Geräuschunterdrückung von Fortemedia ist Kommunikation auch in lauten Szenarios möglich. Das Xiaomi Mi A1 wiegt 165 g und misst 155,4 x 75,8 x 7,3 mm. Es wurde im September 2017 herausgebracht. Außerdem bietet es Hybrid-Dual-SIM (Nano-SIM, Dual-Stand-by) und läuft unter dem Android 7.1.2 (Nougat) Betriebssystem, welches auf Android 8.0 (Oreo) aktualisiert werden kann. Funk-Kommunikation ist via WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS und FM-Radio möglich. Das Phone bietet einen verdrehsicheren USB-2.0-Type-C-1.0-Port. Das Xiaomi Mi A1 setzt den Maßstab für das Android-One-Programm.
