Testberichte für das Xiaomi Redmi 2

80% Xiaomi Redmi 2 Smartphone Review | Notebookcheck
A basic solution. The Redmi 2 aims to be a mainstream smartphone for a budget price. Its humble 720p display and Snapdragon 410 SoC aren't trying to break any records, but will instead offer sufficient and reliable performance for everyday use.
70% Improves on Redmi 1S, offers a better camera and is a good entry-level option

Ultimately it all boils down to your needs. If you want to future-proof your investment, then it is a battle between the Lenovo A6000 and the Xiaomi Redmi 2. If the latest Android updates are what you are after, then the Motorola Moto E is the one for you, although read up about its flaws before placing your money on it. Hopefully, A6000 and Redmi 2 should also get the Android 5.0 update, but with no word out on that, the Moto E certainly has the first mover advantage in that department. Not to mention the battery life of Moto E is better than both the Redmi 2 and the A6000.

70% Xiaomi Redmi 2 Review
Quelle: Phone Arena Englisch EN→DE Archive.org version
However, there is a reason why this phone is not sold outside of Asia, and it’s the software. There is a lot to like about MIUI v6 that powers the Redmi 2 - its rich customization options with themes, it’s likable style and plentiful settings that you can manually tweak, and its mostly smooth operation. However, it is still a phone from China and leaves a lot of its important features to that market only: the Xiaomi account that you can register is all in Chinese, the cloud and streaming services as well, and even the Theme menu is all in Chinese. The biggest issue is that it seems that some apps just don’t run well for some reason, and those happen to be crucial apps: Facebook and the camera app crashed on us way too often.
