Zwei sind besser als eine? Das Schlüssel-Feature des Honor 6+ ist die Dual-Kamera des Smartphones. HTC scheiterte in der Vergangenheit an einem ähnlichen Versuch kläglich, doch die Chinesen machen es besser. Das 6+ glänz aber auch mit einer starken Ausstattung und prima Laufzeiten.

Honor 6X

Der jüngste Zuwachs der Honor Sub-Marke, das Honor 6X, sichert Huaweis Position als einer einer der weltweit besten Budget-Phone-Hersteller. Das 6X mag einige Ähnlichkeiten mit dem Vorgänger gemein haben, doch es bringt ein verfeinertes Design und einige Verbesserungen in puncto Hardware. Das 6X behält das Unibody-Metall-Design und die Ecken des Gerätes sind gut abgerundet, wodurch sich eine viel ergonomischere Anmutung ergibt. Der Stromschalter befindet sich an der rechten Seite des Gerätes, der Lautstärkeregler sitzt genau darüber. Die linke Seite beherbergt den Dual-SIM-Slot und einen MicroSD-Slot. Die 3,5 mm Kopfhörerbuchse befindet sich oben rechts – eine gute Position fürs Musikhören, wenn sich das Gerät aufrecht in einer Tasche befindet. An der Unterkante sind ein MicroUSB-Port, der von zwei Grillen flankiert wird – einer für den Lautsprecher und der andere für das Mikrofon. An der Rückseite des 6X gibt es eine Dual-Kamera oberhalb des Fingerabdrucklesers. Es ist erwähnenswert, dass Phones dieser Preisklasse normalerweise nicht die zusätzliche Sicherheit eines Fingerabdrucklesers bieten, doch das 6X liefert diese und der Fingerabruckleser reagiert gut. Abgesehen vom Entsperren des Gerätes kann der Fingerabdruckleser zum Aufnehmen von Photos und Videos, zum Annehmen von Anrufen und durch Wischen zum Herunterziehen des Benachrichtigungs-Tabs genutzt werden. Das interessanteste Merkmal des 6X is sein Dual-Kamera-Setup bestehend aus einer primären 12-MP-Kamera in Kombination mit einer 2-MP-Linse. Letztere ermöglicht einen großen Bokeh-Effekt – um bei jedem Foto auf Objekte im Vordergrund zu fokussieren und den Hintergrund zu verschwommen darzustellen. Wahrscheinlich ist das 6X das erste Mittelklasse-Phone mit diesem Merkmal. Außerdem bietet es eine 8-MP-Frontkamera für Selfies und Videotelefonie. In puncto Bildschirm ist das 6X mit einem 5,5 Zoll großen LCD-Display mit einer Auflösung von 1080p ausgestattet. Die Helligkeit des Bildschirms ermöglicht großartige Lesbarkeit im Freien und die Blickwinkelstabilität ist gut. In Anbetracht des Gerätepreises gibt es beim Bildschirm nichts Außergewöhnliches. Er bietet problemlos eine gute Erfahrung beim Web-Surfen, Spielen von Games und Videoschauen. Die Lautsprecher reichen für Musikhören und Videoschauen. Da sie sich an der Unterkante des Gerätes befinden, kann der Sound durch die Hand des Nutzers gedämpft werden, wenn das Gerät im Querformat verwendet wird. Im Herzen des Gerätes befinden sich ein Kirin 655 Octa-Core-Prozessor und 3 GB RAM. Das ist ein beeindruckendes Setup für ein Mittelklasse-Phone. Alles läuft flüssig und reaktionsschnell, wie man es sich in Alltagsverwendung erwartet. Die Leistung ist auch bei grafikintensiven Games flüssig. Das 6X verfügt über 32 GB internen Speicher. Die Speicherkapazität kann via MicroSD-Karte um bis zu 128 GB erweitert werden. Softwareseitig nutzt das 6X die Emotion UI 4.1 auf Android 6 Marshmallow. Anders als andere Android-Geräte inkludiert das 6X seltsamerweise keinen App-Drawer. Das 6X wird durch einen 3340-mAh-Akku mit Strom versorgt – eine ziemlich große Kapazität, wenn man bedenkt, dass nur ein FHD-Bildschirm betrieben wird. Dank der Effizienz des Kirin-655-Prozessors braucht das Gerät im Standby-Modus sehr wenig Strom. Auch bei konstanter Nutzung kann das Gerät lange durchhalten, bis es wieder aufgeladen werden muss. Hier lassen sich natürlich auch noch andere Abdrücke registrieren, falls man das Smartphone mit jemanden teilt. Positiv hervorzuheben sind die tollen Features für Sehbehinderte, zum Beispiel Passwörter vorlesen, großer Text und hoher Kontrast einstellen sowie viele anderen Bedienhilfen, die den Alltag erleichtern.

The Honor 6X is yet another dependable option to consider, just like its predecessor. However, it doesn't really offer any standout feature that would make you want to rush out and buy it. Pricing starts at Rs. 12,999 for the version with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage, which isn't bad considering the specifications on offer. However, the version with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage costs Rs. 15,999 which feels like less of a bargain. We wish Honor had paid attention to finer details like Wi-Fi 802.11ac support, a USB Type-C connector, true dual-SIM functionality like the 5X, and perhaps a simpler look and feel to EMUI. The dual-camera setup feels gimmicky and unnecessary, and low-light performance could have been much better.

It definitely takes nice pictures in sufficient light and takes some above average and average shots in low light conditions in terms of details. The camera seems snappy enough but takes a lot of time to process images. Although the company is betting heavily on the hardware when it comes to the camera, but we think it is the software which binds it all together. The software as a whole needs some finishing around the corner as we think the lagging in the Gallery app and the processing time should be reduced if not eliminated. That said, we think the Honor 6X definitely has an edge over other smartphones in this price segment in the camera department. We do not know the final price of the device but if it is in the vicinity of Rs 15,000 as is being rumored, then it definitely is the best camera in that section. Hands down. Its hardware stings like a bee, even though its software sometimes does not quite float like a butterfly…

While the phone hits most of the pillars of a good budget smartphone, we still feel that there is room for improvement in aspects like UI and Audio output. Fortunately, the device will get a UI upgrade with Android Nougat soon and we can’t complain much for the audio at this price. As the final verdict, if you want a complete smartphone for a low price, Honor 6X can just be the right device for you right now.

Honor 6C

Das Honor 6C ist ein kompaktes, jedoch leistungsstarkes Smartphone, das eine interessante Alternative für jene sein will, die einen billigen Garant für Mobilität suchen. Honor, Huaweis Tochter konzentriert sich auf jüngeres Publikum, um die digitale Generation zu erobern. Das Honor 6C richtet sich für jene die ein kompaktes Design ohne ultra-großen Bildschirmen oder übertriebener Größe suchen, auf Mobilität aus. Viele große Smartphones lassen sich nur schwer mit einer Hand bedienen und können beim Verstauen in Hosentaschen für Kopfzerbrechen sorgen. Das Design des Honor 6C ist verglichen mit früheren Generationen dieser Familie ein deutlicher Schritt nach vorne. Kunststoff lehnt es eindeutig ab. Es verfügt nun über einen metallisches Unibody-Design, das dem Auge schmeichelt und dank Krümmung gut in der Hand liegt, wodurch es auch ziemlich ergonomisch ist. Das Honor 6C verfügt über einen 5,0-Zoll-Bildschirm mit HD-Auflösung (1.280 x 720 Pixeln), was im Jahre 2017 ziemlich enttäuschend sein mag. Es erscheint in der Mittelklasse vernünftig Full-HD-Auflösung zu fordern. Dank seiner Helligkeit kann es dafür ohne große Problem im Freien benutzt werden und die Farbwiedergabe ist ziemlich genau. Das Honor 6C verfügt über eine Hauptkamera mit 13 MP und einer ziemlich unauffälligen Blende (f/2.2) an der Rückseite. Diese überrascht unter guten Lichtbedingungen im Freien mit guten Ergebnissen. Zudem funktioniert das Phasenerkennungsautofokussystem (PDAF) gut und angemessen schnellt. Auf Software-Ebene bieten sich dem User auch andere Wege, mehr aus der Kamera herauszuholen, etwa Panorama-Fotografie oder HDR-Modus. Die Frontkamera des Honor 6C löst mit 5 MP auf und liefert, vor allem im Freien, bemerkenswerte Ergebnisse. Huawei scheint dazu bestimmt zu sein, Prozessoren aus eigener Herstellung zu nutzen. Diese gehören bereits zu den hochwertigen Produkten der Firma. Das Smartphone nutzt einen Snapdragon 435, ein Prozessor, den man auch in anderen Mittelklasse-Geräten wie dem ZTE Blade V8 und Xiaomi Redmi 4X antrifft. Zudem verfügt dieses Smartphone über 3 GB RAM. Für Grafik ist die Adreno 505 GPU verantwortlich, welche leistungsstark genug ist, um einige Games zu spielen. Dank Einsparungen bei der Auflösung des Panels, leidet die Leistung auch in fordernden Games nicht zu stark. Das Honor 6C nutzt einen 3.020-mAh-Akku. In Anbetracht der Gerätegröße ist dies eine sehr hohe Kapazität. Der Akku wird via MicroUSB-Port geladen und unterstützt keine Fast-Charging-Technologie. Zudem verfügt das Honor 6C über viele Sensoren, nämlich einen Beschleunigungsmesser, einen Näherungssensor, einen Umgebungslichtsensor und einen Kompass. Das Honor C6 Pro könnte für den Preis von 200 Euro ein nettes Smartphone sein, wenn nicht die mäßige Kamera-Qualität wäre. Da sind wir von anderen Handys dieser Preisklasse Besseres gewöhnt, beispielsweise dem Moto G5s (Testbericht), dem Gigaset GS270 Plus (Testbericht) oder dem Nokia 5 (Testbericht).

Ein Fazit bei dem Vergleich zwischen dem honor 6C und honor 5C zu ziehen ist wirklich schwer. Der Preis und der Akku sind beim honor 5C ein klein wenig besser. Der größere Arbeitsspeicher und zusätzliche Fingerabdrucksensor sprechen eher für das honor 6C. Bei der Displaygröße muss jeder für sich selber entscheiden, welche besser passt. Für mich persönlich punktet da das 6C etwas mehr, abgesehen vom Preis.

Was ist da los, Honor? Mit dem Honor 8 Pro hat das Unternehmen gezeigt, dass man für Spitzen-Hardware keine Spitzenpreise aufrufen muss. Das Honor 6c ist mit 239 Euro wiederum etwas zu teuer geraten. Das Moto G5 ist zum Beispiel 40 Euro günstiger, kommt mit ähnlichem Prozessor, Full-HD-Display und dem aktuelleren Android 7.0 Nougat.

Honor 6A

Das Honor 6A ist Honors Versuch seinen Erfolg im Budget-Smartphone-Bereich zu wiederholen. Im ersten Eindruck scheint das Honor 6A den regierenden Champion nicht ablösen zu können. Trotzdem scheint es viel Wert zu bieten und zeigt wiederum, dass User für ein gutes Phone nicht viel ausgeben müssen. Mit zirka 150 g ist das Phone leicht in der Hand. Mit 5 Zoll ist es außerdem verglichen mit heutigen Riesen-Phones ziemlich klein. Daher lässt es sich einfach mit einer Hand bedienen. Mit 8,2 mm Bauhöhe ist es ein ziemlich schlankes Phone, wodurch es sich leicht in einer Tasche verstauen lässt. Das Design des Smartphones besteht aus einer Metallplatte mit abgerundeten Kanten und einem grau/schwarzen Farbschema. Unterhalb des 5-Zoll-Bildschirms, der von einem ziemlich schlanken Rahmen gefasst ist, befindet sich ein Honor-Logo. Insgesamt sieht das Phone damit dezent, jedoch langweilig aus. Ein Fingerabdruckleser ist verfügbar, jedoch das gleiche Modell, das auch in China eingesetzt wird. Das ist etwas ärgerlich, jedoch in Anbetracht des Preises verzeihlich. In puncto Leistung ist das Honor 6A mit einem Mittelklasse-Prozessor und 2 GB ausgestattet. Das ist heutzutage eine Einstiegskonfiguration. Die Snapdragon CPU mag zur unteren Liga gehören, doch sie sich viel zuverlässiger als MediaTeks Konkurrenz-Chip. User erhalten nur 16 GB Speicher, doch via MicroSD-Slot können diese bis zu 128 GB hinzufügen. Budget-Phones schneiden in puncto Kameras oft schlecht ab, doch das Honor 6A bietet hier viel. An der Rückseite befindet sich ein vorstehender, runder 13-MP-Sensor mit Phasenerkennungs-Autofokus. Zudem hat der User Zugriff auf alle üblichen Huawei-Kamera-Merkmale einschließlich des gefürchteten Beauty-Modus und einer Reihe an Filtern. Die Software gehört zu jenen Bereichen, die Huawei in den letzten Jahren verbessert hat. Die EMUI Benutzerschnittstelle (kurz für Emotion User Interface), startete etwas verspielt und wurde dann mit dauernden Warnung, die über das, womit Android-Phones normalerweise ihre User konfrontieren, hinausgehen, übereifrig. Das EMUI 5.1 am Honor 6A ist mit Warnungen maßvoller, um Akku zu sparen. Ignoriert man einige nicht ideale Designentscheidungen handelt es sich um ein perfekt verwendbares Betriebssystem. Der Bildschirm nutzt ein 5 Zoll großes LCD-IPS-Panel, das eine überraschend gute Farbwiedergabe bietet. Als IPS-Panel bietet es gute Blickwinkel. Die 720p-Auflösung ist nicht die schärfste, doch für den Preis ist sie gut und mehr als brauchbar. Es handelt sich um einen kräftiges 3020-mAh-Modell. Das ist größer als bei vielen Flaggschiff-Phones, doch das Honor 6A hat weniger Pixel zu berechnen. Honor 6C Pro

Besondere Merkmale des Honor 6C Pro sind dessen Unibody-Metall-Gehäuse, ein 5,2 Zoll großer HD-Bildschirm und eine primäre 13-MP-Kamera. Es kann zudem entweder zwei SIM-Karten gleichzeitig oder eine SIM- und eine MicroSD-Karte aufnehmen. Das Gehäuse besteht größtenteils aus Aluminium und liegt gut in der Hand. Nur die Ober- und Unterseite sind aus Gründen des besseren Funkempfangs und der direkt darunterliegenden Antennen aus Kunststoff gefertigt. Die Rückseite ist dafür spürbar rutschig. Da das Telefon aber wohl die meiste Zeit über an den Rändern festgehalten werden dürfte, ist dies nicht allzu dramatisch. In puncto Design ist es eindeutig an das vor wenigen Monaten veröffentlichte Honor 6C angelehnt. Der Fingerabdruckleser ist im Unibody-Metall-Gehäuse auf der Rückseite direkt unterhalb des Kameramoduls untergebracht, was eine schnelle Entsperrung des Honor 6C Pro ermöglicht. Oben und unten verlaufen außerdem bereits die erwähnten Antennenstreifen aus Kunststoff. Auf der rechten Seiten liegen der Ein- und Ausschalter sowie die Lautstärkeregelung, auf der linken Seite befindet sich die SIM-Schublade.
Die Hauptkamera des Honor 6C Pro ist ein 13 MP Sensor mit einer Blende von f/2.2, die Frontkamera ein 8 MP Selfie-Shooter. Die Akkukapazität beträgt 3.000 mAh, unterstützt werden 4G LTE, WLAN, GPS, Bluetooth und weitere. Die Ausmaße betragen 147,0 x 73,2 x 7,65 mm, das Gewicht liegt bei 145 g. Über die Android-Version 7.0 hat Honor die EMUI 5.1 Oberfläche gestülpt, der 5,2-Zoll-Bildschirm löst mit HD auf (720 x 1.280) und ist mit gewölbtem 2.5D-Glas geschützt. Die Darstellungsqualität des IPS-Bildschirms geht in Ordnung, die Blickwinkel ebenfalls. Auch die maximale Helligkeit ist ausreichend. Da der Bildschirm lediglich mit HD auflöst, ist der Batterieverbrauch entsprechend niedrig. Ungewöhnlich ist der SoC; beim Honor 6C Pro stammt er nicht aus der hauseigenen Prozessorschmiede Hisilicon, stattdessen kommt ein Octa-Core Mediatek 6750 mit 4x 1,4 GHz und 4x 1,0 GHz zum Einsatz. Für Alltagsaufgaben reicht dessen Performance völlig aus. An Speicher stehen 32 GB zur Verfügung, die mittels MicroSD-Karte um bis zu 128 GB erweitert werden können. Mit 3.000 mAh ist der Akku ausreichend dimensioniert und sollte bei normaler Benutzung einen ganzen Tag durchhalten. Aufladen dauert jedoch ziemlich lange, da dem Honor 6C Pro Schnellladefunktionen verwehrt geblieben sind. Das WLAN-Modul unterstützt lediglich 802.11b/g/n und somit nicht das schnellere 5 GHz ac-Band. Huaweis und Honors Vielzahl an Geräten ist äußerst verwirrend, das Honor 6C Pro richtet sich jedoch eindeutig an die untere Mittelklasse auf der Suche nach dem besten Preis-Leistungsverhältnis.

Das Honor 6C Pro zeigt im Test keine klaren Schwächen. Es ist wahrlich ein “gewöhnliches” Smartphone. Kurz gesagt, es gibt eigentlich keine Nach- aber eben auch keine Vorteile. Natürlich ist es schade, dass das Display nur in HD auflöst, aber in der Praxis stört das nicht sehr. Das Honor 6C Pro ist eines dieser Smartphones, das einfach tut was es soll, ohne sich wirklich von der Konkurrenz abzusetzen.

Auch unter 200 Euro darf der Käufer heutzutage ein paar Dinge erwarten: FullHD, schnelles WLAN oder eine halbwegs gute Kamera. Leider kann das Honor 6C Pro keinen dieser Punkte erfüllen. Das Gerät wird sicherlich seine Käufer finden, doch ist die Zahl der Alternativen in dieser Preisklasse sehr groß.

Leider hat Honor nicht aus den Fehlern des 6C gelernt. Der Preis ist zum Glück zwar wieder unter die psychologische 200-Euro-Grenze gefallen. Technisch, vor allem in Hinblick auf das Display, reicht die preisliche Neuausrichtung aber nicht aus. Dass Honor auch Full HD für unter 200 Euro anbieten kann, hat das Unternehmen 2016 bewiesen.

Wenn das Smartphone weniger als 200 Euro kosten soll, ist das Honor 6C Pro ein geeigneter Kaufkandidat. Dank der – wenn auch nicht durchgängigen – Metallrückseite, wirkt es deutlich hochwertiger, als man angesichts des Preises annehmen würde. Der Bildschirm kann überzeugen, bei genauer Betrachtung lässt sich jedoch erkennen, dass er nur in HD auflöst.

At the end of the day, the Honor 6A Pro is a budget phone and you might expect that it would perform like one, but Honor has made the effort to make it slightly better than the other budget options out there and for that they could be praised for not cutting corners even if it's an RM699 phone. The camera is not great, but for its class, it has a very decent rear-camera and an equally decent performance to match just as long as you can be patient with the phone as it collects itself when loading up intensive apps.

Honor: 2014 gründete Huawei die Tochtermarke Honor unter der bestimmte Smartphone-Linien vertrieben werden. Gelegentlich werden die Produkte auch unter der Bezeichnung Huawei Honor geführt.

Der Marktanteil von Honor-Produkten ist überschaubar, aber es gibt einige Testberichte für Honor Smartphones mit durchschnittliche Bewertungen (2016).

Diese Karten können nur sehr alte und sehr anspruchslose 3D Spiele flüssig darstellen.  Anwendungen wie Office, Internet surfen, Bildbearbeitung oder (SD) Videoschnitt sind jedoch ohne große Einschränkungen möglich.

ARM Mali-T628 MP4: Im HiSilicon Kirin 920 SoC integrierte Grafikkarte für Smartphones und Tablets.

ARM Mali-T830 MP2: ARM-Grafikchip für Smartphones und Tablets, unter anderem im HiSilicon Kirin 650 integriert.

Qualcomm Adreno 505: Grafikchip für Smartphones und Tablets, integriert im Qualcomm Snapdragon 430/435 SoC. Basiert auf die 500er Grafikarchitektur wie der schnellere Adreno 520 im Snapdragon 820.

ARM Mali-T860 MP2: Zwei-Cluster Variante der Mali-T860 Grafikkarte für Smartphones und Tablets.

5.00: Es handelt sich um ein sehr kleines Display-Format für Smartphones. Man sollte keinesfalls fehlsichtig sein und man wird generell sehr wenig am Bildschirm sehen und nur eine kleine Auflösung zur Verfügung haben. Dafür sollte das Gerät sehr klein und handlich sein.
