Extroveriertes Design, brachiale Leistung, ein tolles Display und komplette Ausstattung für einen Preis, der noch immer unter der aktuellen Flagship Generation liegt. Man muss es aber schon wollen. Denn die Kamera ist nicht sehr gut, die Ausmaße deutlich größer durch den „Gaming-Faktor“ und mit dem Stock Android Überzug gefällt mir das Gaming-Smartphone auch nicht so gut.

Modell: Während sich die meisten User für Flagships interessieren, wächst die Zahl derer, die auf Gaming ausgerichtete Smartphones bevorzugen. Das Xiaomi Black Shark 2 ist eine Aktualisierung des Black Shark vom vorigen Jahr. Es sieht mehr denn je nach Gaming aus. Die gesamte Rückseite schreit Gaming, jedoch nicht so stark wie beim Razer Phone 2 oder dem Asus ROG Gaming-Phone. In der Mitte der Rückseite befindet sich eine X-ähnliche Form, die etwas vorsteht. Sie beherbergt oben die Dual-Kamera. Das ‘S’-Logo in der Mitte mit zwei Lichter an der Seite kann für verschiedene Nachrichten und Apps beleuchtet werden und durch die Farben flashen. Diese Beleuchtung kann mit einer vorinstallierten App konfiguriert werden. Die Seiten des ’X’-Designs sind elegant und eine matte Oberfläche erleichtert es, das Phone zu packen. Das Phone misst 163,6 x 75 x 8,8 mm. Für ein Phone ist das ziemlich dick, doch bei einem Gaming-Phone ist das akzeptabel, weil die Kühlung zusätzlichen Platz benötigt.

An der Vorderseite wird der Bildschirm von einer subtilen grünen Kante gefasst. Es handelt sich um einen 6,39 Zoll großen AMOLED-Touchscreen mit einer Auflösung von 1.080 x 2.340 Pixeln. Bevorzugen Sie die höhere Auflösung von Flagship-Modellen, kann dies enttäuschen. Allerdings ist der Bildschirm klar, hell und stellt Farben gut dar. Außerdem unterstützt er Apple-ähnliche 3D-Touchfunktionen, die in diesem Gaming-Phone mit Magic Press bezeichnet werden. Damit können in Game-Settings verschiedene Aktion getriggert werden. Die Druckempflindlichkeit kann konfiguriert werden. Weiters sind die Rahmen eher groß, da es keine Notch gibt. Das Bildschirm-zu-Gehäuseverhältnis beträgt 81,7 % und liegt damit nicht weit von Xiaomi sehr preisgünstigen Redmi-Serie entfernt. Allerdings könnte dies eine gute Sache sein. Ernsthafte Gamer möchten nicht, dass ihre Games durch eine Notch unterbrochen werden. Andererseits haben andere Phones intelligente Merkmale, die eine Notch verstecken, die abhängig von der Anwendung ein- oder ausgeschaltet werden können.

Dank des größeren Rahmens hat das Black Shark 2 Platz für zwei nach vorne gerichtete Lautsprecher. Laut Berichten von Usern klingt das Razer Phone 2 dennoch besser. Der im Bildschirm integrierte Fingerabdruckleser des Black Shark 2 funktioniert, wie beim Mi 9, gut. Im Inneren des Phones arbeitet ein Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 Prozessor mit wahlweise 6, 8 oder 12 GB RAM und 128 oder 256 GB internen Speicher. Die Spezifikation ist gut genug, dass leistungsfordernde Games wie PUBG mit höheren Details gespielt werden können. Darüberhinaus verfügt das Black Shark 2 über ein Kühlsystem, das alle Komponenten des Chipsets kühlt, um für eine effiziente Wärmeableitung zu sorgen.

Das Phone verfügt über ein Dual-Kamerasetup mit einem 48-MP-Sensor und einem 12-MP-Telephoto-Sensor. Die Kamera bietet einen 2-fachen optischen Zoom. An der Vorderseite befindet sich eine 20-MP-Selfie-Kamera mit nur einem Sensor. Das Phone ist mit dem neuesten Bluetooth 5.0 ausgestattet und unterstützt Fast-Charging seines 4.000-mAh-Akkus via seines Type-C-Ports. Das Black Shark 2 wartet mit eigenen Gaming-Controllern auf, die separat verkauft werden. Thumbstick und Tasten werden an der linken Seite, Touchpad und Tasten an der rechten Seite des Phones angeschlossen. Diese werden mit einem Gehäuse geliefert, auf das sie geklipst werden können. Die Controller werden mit Bluetooth verbunden und müssen via ihren eigenen Type-C-Ports extra geladen werden, da sie keine Energie vom Phone beziehen können. Weiters wird ein optionales Kühlgehäuse angeboten, dass das Gerät laut Firma in zirka 10 Sekunden um 5 °C kühlen kann.

Das Black Shark 2 ist ein beeindruckendes Gaming-Gerät, doch nichts darüber hinaus. Nicht viele User werden ein Gaming-Gerät haben wollen, wenn sie dafür auf die Portabilität der neuesten Flagships verzichten müssen. Abgesehen davon, hat es einen starken Konkurrenten, nämlich das Razer Phone 2. Allerdings bietet das Black Shark 2 für einen sehr günstigen Preis sehr viel.
