Asus stellt das W1V mit Carbonhülle vor. Es soll deswegen leichter und stabiler als Notebooks mit Alugehäuse sein.
Das W1 Karbon ist der Gewinner des iF Gold Design Award 2005 und bietet als Besonderheit ein als sehr stabil und leicht geltendes Carbongehäuse.

Unsere Meinung: Die Radeon X700 verspricht auch brauchbare Grafikperformance für Spiele (siehe Grafikkartenvergleich). Das Display dürfte (wie alle 15,4" WSXGA+ Panels) gute Werte liefern. Die 3,2 kg Gewicht sind jedoch für ein 15,4" Notebook nicht gerade leicht (trotz Carbon).
