Das ROG Phone 3 ist das bisher leistungsstärkste Gaming-Smartphone, mit dem neuesten Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 Plus 5G Prozessor ist es ein wahrer Spitzenreiter. Die Bildrate des Display erreicht 144Hz/1ms, was speziell für Gamer entwickelt wurde und Erfolge fast garantiert. Einige beliebte Eigenschaften früherer Geräte wurden beibehalten, z.B. der 6.000-mAh-Akku, doppelte Vorderlautsprecher und alle Zubehörteile, während manche Funktionen aktualisiert wurde, so das AirTrigger 3. Das ROG Phone 3 verfügt über einen Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 Plus 5G Prozessor, sowie das neueste LPDDR5-RAM und UFS-3.1-ROM, was die Lese- und Schreibgeschwindigkeit jedes Smartphones wesentlich verbessert. Die Taktrate wurde auf 3.1 GHz erhöht, wodurch Spiele mit Leichtigkeit wiedergegeben werden. Diese ultimative Leistung ermöglicht ein schnelles Gaming-Erlebnis.

Das GameCool-3-Kühlsystem des ROG Phone 3 setzt eine flüssige 3D-Platte zum Temperaturausgleich und einen großen Kühlkörper ein, der genau auf dieses Smartphone konfiguriert wurde. Unter voller Last wird Hitze mit speziell entworfenen Lüftern äußerst effizient abgeleitet. Das ROG Phone 3 bleibt bei intensiven Spielen locker bei voller Leistung, ohne langsamer zu werden. Mit einem aerodynamische AeroActive-3-Lüfter der neuen Generation wird zudem ein guter Luftstrom erzeugt und die Hitzeableitung in der Nähe des Prozessors und 5G-Chipsatzes gestärkt, wodurch die Oberflächentemperatur um bis zu 4 Grad Celsius gesenkt wird. Das branchenführende AMOLED-Display (144Hz/1ms) des ROG Phone 3 reduziert mit einer Touch-Samplingrate von 270 Hz die Berührungsreaktion auf 25 Millisekunden. Darüber hinaus unterstützt es HDR10+-Inhalte. Um die besten visuellen Effekte zu liefern, wurde jedes Display farbkalibriert und auf einen Delta-E-Wert von weniger als 1 gebracht. Dieser Bildschirm bestand außerdem die TÜV-Rheinland-Zertifizierung, welche den besten Sehkomfort für Spieler bietet.

Das Smartphone wird von einem 6.000-mAh-Akku angetrieben, dank dem nicht mal die intensivsten Kämpfe an einem leeren Akku scheitern werden. Die Akkulaufzeit kann zudem mit drei passiven Stromspar-Mechanismen ausgedehnt werden, unter anderem mit vielen anpassbaren Akku-Modi und einem exklusiven Ruhemodus. Für guten Klang sorgen doppelte Stereo-Lautsprecher auf der Vorderseite, die bei Spielen starke und immersive Klangeffekte liefern. Die Lautstärke wird durch größere Lautsprecher, Magneten und verbesserte Amplituden der Antriebskomponenten noch gesteigert. Mit einem neuen Game-Modus und einzigartigen Audio-Algorithmen verpasst man kein virtuellen Schüsse, Umgebungsgeräusche, Schritte oder Explosionen. Das Design- und Entwicklungsteam von ROG versteht die Schlüsselfunktionen, die Spieler brauchen, weshalb sie ihr Fachwissen vereint haben, um das ultimative E-Sport-Smartphone für mobile Gamer zu entwickeln. SD 865+ (Plus): High-End SoC (System on a Chip) für Smartphones welcher Ende 2019 vorgestellt wurde. Integriert unter anderen einen schnellen "Prime Core" mit bis zu 2,84 GHz und drei weitere schnelle Cortex-A77 basierende Performance-Kerne.
