Mit dem Core i7-10875H holt sich Intel die Leistungskrone teilweise wieder zurück. Dank der bis zu 5,1 GHz schnellen CPU-Kerne bietet er eine äußerst hohe Single-Core-Performance, kann dank der zwei zusätzlichen Kerne innerhalb der Core-i7-Klasse aber auch bei der Multicore-Performance aufholen. Es ist teilweise ein Kopf-an-Kopf-Rennen zwischen Intel und AMD.

We expect such niggles to be ironed out for the next major refresh, but in the meantime, GeForce RTX 2070 Super Max-Q graphics represent a known quantity, 16GB of DDR4 memory is customary, and though the Optane-infused Intel SSD is a little unusual, the laptop looks and feels familiar. All-round performance is strong, connectivity is better than most, battery life is where you'd expect it to be, and the 4K OLED display once again stands out with accurate colour and true blacks.

This 2020 15-inch Aero is among the better notebooks in its class. Gigabyte improved on the overall performance, thermals, and noise levels from the previous generation, which now add up to its existing strong suits, such as the sturdy build quality, the complete IO and inputs, the large battery and the multitude of available configurations. I'm just not sold on the OLED screen choice though, it looks awesome, but it's an expensive option and I'm warry of the technology's long term reliability in a laptop implementation, with all the static content that it has to display.

If you are familiar with last year’s Aero 15 OLED XA, then this year’s newer model is basically more of the same but with incremental performance and battery life. It is still the same gaming laptop with a stunning 4K edge-to-edge display, same keyboard, and trackpad and even chassis. That said however, it also retains the same kinks as its predecessor; the fans are still extremely noisy at maximum speed and the webcam is still located awkwardly at the bottom bezel. I thought it is a missed opportunity by Gigabyte to do some refinements to the Aero 15 OLED series with the XB, even if they are minor ones, and possibly turning it from a good gaming laptop to a ‘great’ one.

The Gigabyte Aero 15 is a laptop aimed at designers and creative professionals. But when I first saw the thing, I didn’t believe that. It looks nothing like any laptop that comes to mind when I think of “creators” (the slim and sleek MacBook Pros, XPS 15s, Surface Books, and Zenbooks of the world). The Aero is a beast. It’s 15.6 inches wide and 4.4 pounds. It has a bright LED logo on its lid, large visible vents on the back and bottom, and a colorful RGB keyboard that will turn heads from across the office. This is a gaming laptop, I thought on my first day using it. Designers won’t want this.

NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070 Super Max-Q: High-End Notebook-Grafikkarte basierend auf die Turing Architektur. Auf effizienz getrimmte Variante der GeForce RTX 2070 Super für Laptops mit deutlich reduziertem Stromverbrauch (80 versus 115 Watt TGP) und daher auch Taktraten und Performance.

Diese Grafikkarten sollten alle modernen Spiele flüssig darstellen können. Anspruchsvolle Spiele müssen jedoch in mittlerer Detailstufe gespielt werden. Ältere und weniger anspruchsvolle Spiele wie die Sims Serie können auch in hohen Detailsstufen flüssig dargestellt werden.
