Sure the notebook offers some great highlights including its impressive processor and graphics card, but the cost for those specs proves to be just too high. Even if consumers can overlook the poor quality display, touchpad and keyboard there is the still the chassis to worry about. Easily flexing and giving way, the chassis raises serious questions as to the durability of this device, which will only further be augmented if users decide to use this laptop on the go. If you are looking for a notebook that you plan to use as a desktop replacement most of the time, moving it only occasionally then the V3-571 G may prove to be a suitable choice for you. However, if you find yourself not needing the extensive processing power that this device offers there are certainly better options available.

Acer liefert mit dem Aspire V3-771G ein rundes Gesamtpaket mit Solid State Drive (SSD) und aktuellem Intel Core i7 Vierkern-Prozessor. Die potente Hardware wird mit einem matten FullHD-Display untermauert. Bis auf zu viel Glanz am Gehäuse, die vergleichsweise schlechte Anschlussverteilung und üppige Bloatware können wir kaum Schwächen ausmachen. Der Preis von 1.300 Euro ist angesichts der Komponenten ebenfalls in Ordnung.

EN→DEFinding a system with a dedicated graphics around $500 is very difficult but Acer manages to do this with the Aspire V4-551G-8454 which is great for anyone that might want to have a laptop with gaming capabilities. Mind you this is not a high performance system but it is suitable for most people.

EN→DEIf you can get past the very glossy finish, the rest of the package is rather impressive. It has been put together a bit extremely well for a machine that is selling for around Rs. 40,000. It offers very good system performance, and the potential for gaming with the Nvidia GeForce GT640M on board cannot be denied. It is worth considering this if buying on a strict budget, because it pretty much ticks all the boxes.

EN→DEAcer's Aspire V5-571G-9683 takes the existing design and updates it to add more performance while still keeping the costs down. The system is very affordable but it does sacrifice a number of features to keep those costs down. The most notable of these is the hard drive which is generally smaller and slower than the competition. In addition, the screen is essentially no different than that can be found on their lower cost models.

Acer: 1976 gegründet, ist Acer einer der internationalen Hersteller mit den meisten Marktanteilen weltweit und den meisten getesteten Notebook-Modellen im deutsch- und englischsprachigen Raum. Nach eigenen Angaben ist das Unternehmen "drittgrößter Anbieter auf dem PC-Weltmarkt und auf Position zwei im Notebook-Segment mit dem schnellsten Wachstum unter den Top fünf der Weltrangliste". Der Konzern ist zusammengeschlossen mit Gateway Inc. und Packard Bell. Acer beschäftigt weltweit 5.000 Mitarbeiter. Im Jahr 2007 realisierter Umsatz: 14,07 Mrd. US$. Acer ist nach Angaben des Marktforschers IDC (Q2 2008) mit 9,9 % Marktanteil der weltweit drittgrößte Hersteller von Personal Computern (HP 18,9 %, Dell 16,4 %, Lenovo 7,5 %, Apple 5,7%).
Diese Grafikkarten sollten alle modernen Spiele flüssig darstellen können. Anspruchsvolle Spiele müssen jedoch in mittlerer Detailstufe gespielt werden. Ältere und weniger anspruchsvolle Spiele wie die Sims Serie können auch in hohen Detailsstufen flüssig dargestellt werden.
NVIDIA GeForce GT 650M: Stärkster GT Chip der 600M Serie und daher eine sehr schnelle Mittelklasse Grafikkarte basierend auf den GK107 Chip.
NVIDIA GeForce GT 640M: Mittelklasse-Grafikkarte der 600M Serie.
NVIDIA GeForce GT 730M: Die Nvidia GeForce GT 730M ist eine minimal optimierte (Stromverbrauch) Geforce GT 645M bzw GT 640M.
NVIDIA GeForce GT 640M LE: Mittelklasse-Grafikkarte der 600M Serie.
Diese Klasse ist noch durchaus fähig neueste Spiele flüssig darzustellen, nur nicht mehr mit allen Details und in hohen Auflösungen. Besonders anspruchsvolle Spiele laufen nur in minimalen Detailstufen, wodurch die grafische Qualität oft deutlich leidet. Diese Klasse ist nur noch für Gelegenheitsspieler empfehlenswert. Der Stromverbrauch von modernen Grafikkarten in dieser Klasse ist dafür geringer und erlaubt auch bessere Akkulaufzeiten.
AMD Radeon HD 7660G + HD 7670M Dual Graphics: Dual-GPU aus 7660G (Trinity A10) + dedizierter Radeon HD 7670M im CrossFire Verbund. Je nach Treiberunterstützung teilweise sogar langsamer als die 7670M alleine und anfällig für Microstuttering.
NVIDIA GeForce GT 630M: Entweder umbenannte GeForce GT 540M / 550M Grafikkarte oder 28nm GF117 basierend.
Intel HD Graphics 4000: In Ivy Bridge Prozessoren (3. Generation Core) integrierte Grafikkarte in höchster Ausbaustufe. Je nach Prozessor (ULV bis Desktop Quad-Core) unterschiedlich getaktet.
AMD Radeon HD 7640G: In AMD Trinity Prozessoren (z.B. A8-4500M) integrierte Grafikkarte ohne eigenen Grafikspeicher. Basiert auf der VLIW4 Architektur der 6900er Desktop Serie.
Einige nicht anspruchsvolle aktuelle Spiele können mit geringen Details noch flüssig gespielt werden. Für Office und Video natürlich ausreichende Leistungsreserven.
Intel HD Graphics 3000: In Sandy Bridge Prozessoren (Core ix-2xxx) integrierte Grafikkarte von Intel. Stärkere GT2 genannte Version mit 12 Execution Units (EUs). Je nach Modell mit unterschiedlichen Taktraten (350-650MHz) und TurboBoost Unterstützung (900-1350MHz).

17.3: 17 Zoll Displaygrösse ist ein seit 2006 häufig angebotenes Standardformat für Desktop-Replacements. Die DTR-Laptops sind schwerer zu tragen, brauchen mehr Strom, dafür sind Texte leicht lesbar und hohe Auflösungen kein Problem. DTR sind hauptsächlich für stationären Schreibtischeinsatz vorgesehen, wo Gewicht und Energiehunger egal sind.

Diese Subnotebooks sind deutlich leichter als der Durchschnitt aller Notebooks, stellen aber die höhere Gewichtsklasse unter den Subnotebooks dar. 13 Zoll Displays passen in diesen Gewichtsbereich.

Dieses Gewicht ist für Notebooks durchschnittlich. Daher passt vor allem die breite Masse der Laptops mit 15 Zoll Display in diese Gewichtsklasse.
80.3%: Diese Bewertung muss man eigentlich als durchschnittlich ansehen, denn es gibt etwa ebenso viele Notebooks mit besseren Beurteilungen wie Schlechteren. Die Verbalbeurteilungen klingen aber oft besser als sie wirklich sind, denn richtig gelästert wird über Notebooks eher selten. Obwohl dieser Bereich offiziell meist einem "Befriedigend" entspricht, passt oft eher "mäßiger Durchschnitt".
